Enjoyed the video Cal.Really felt for you as it is so frustrating trying to fish through weed. Well done on landing the Couches bream,they are my favourite fish,they give a good bite and can give a good scrap as well as being seriously tasty!…best wishes from Alderney.

My best Couches from the shore was 2-1-10 during the Alderney Fishing Festival last October😀😀😀I was so chuffed to win the Under 5lb Category with it!…can’t wait for this year’s Festival…..bring on the Couches!🎣🎣🎣😀

@@angelaburke6303 That’s awesome. A 2lb+ couches from the shore is a good fish. I’ve had one from the shore which I think was 2lb ish but I never actually weighed it. I once had a 3lber from the boat which took a whole mackerel head whilst ray fishing. The fight was amazing.

I know a few people have had Couches from their boats ranging from 4-5lb+ around Alderney!….cracking fish!😃
