Smashed it out the park again Cal! Next time we are over, we need to find out where you chef! I had a blown wrasse in the week and made some wrasse kebabs as per your tacos. Bloody lovely mate. Thank you!
Yet another fab catch and cook video. Thanks Cal. I love the pickled cabbage idea. Have you checked out the Gerber Gutsy? I recently got one for my Birthday from my wife and I am finding it an amazing little tool for opening, gutting and scaling fish! Please keep these amazing videos coming 😊! Cheers x
Bream is one of my favourite fish to eat. Never caught one or tried to. I think I might take my son toe Chesil beach some day and give it a go. I've normally put them whole on the BBQ. Good to see how you fillet them. Excellent vid
@@JaseTheOptimisticFisherman I’d really recommend fishing for them. Even the small ones put up a very respectable scrap, especially the couches and Gilthead bream. Once you land on them (especially in deep water) you’ll consistently catch them. Smaller hooks work very well but they have to be pretty strong. Thanks mate 👍🏼
Haha yeah I agree mate. My casting skills have faded over the last year or so. Still great to get out and do some bait fishing though, I always love it! Cheers 🎣
Once again You showed me what I miss the Most Shore fishing in the Celtic sea What about targeting bream with lures? Or only Natural baits? I wait for the next one 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 Tight lines
Bream on lures is actually quite a tricky thing to do in UK waters. The best method will be using LRF gear and very small metals. Light float gear for bream is excellent fun, they don't mess about when they hit a bait! I'll be out soon targeting bream with prawns so hopefully that'll be successful! Get into that celtic sea mate, the fish are waiting for you! Thanks 👍🏼
Hi mate, I gutted the fish off camera. Sometimes I'll do it on the beach as it's easier to discard the guts etc. I'll never freeze a fish for eating with the guts in no.
Is there a specific rod you prefer for bream fishing or light bait fishing in general, or does it mainly boil down to the casting weight? I’m considering getting myself the Samson Long Cast Todos Travel (30-100g) as I travel by bike, and hoping I can mix some heavy lures with some light ledgering and float fishing to save me bringing several rods. I’ve heard of people using the rod for that abroad, but I wonder if the action won’t be ideal for the job. Most other travel rods out there seem poorly designed. Any thoughts?
Me and Jay are out together quite often mate. I don’t do much foraging myself but Jay will always sort me out with some fresh shellfish 👌🏻 Next time we're out together, I'll suggest a cook up on the beach!
An amazing cook up. look forward to watching these
Love it when you upload. I Gotta try getting a bream now.
They’re great tasting fish mate. Loads of things you can do with them 👍🏼
Top notch! Hope you're feeling better soon mate

I love the way you mentioned about fishing on your own now.
I gather the fella stayed for a little too long
😂
@@karlstokes874 He was a perfectly nice guy but sometimes you just want to get on with what you’re doing 🎣
I kept expecting you to drop kick the fish back in!😂
Bream is probably my favourite eating fish. Strange using a beach casting rod after using a lure rod, bit like fishing with a telegraph pole 😂

Thanks very much mate 🇬🇬
It's 23cm in the UK too. Great video as always :)
Thanks mate. Some of our minimum sizes are the same, however, quite a few species differ from the UK minimum sizes so I always like to be sure.
Great video, nice to see catch n cook, do you gut the fish at the beach or only if your freezing them?

@@philoffhistree No this is in Guernsey in the Channel Islands.
Just got off Jays live stream and there was a lot of comments asking for a catch and cook with you. That'd be great if you could team up again. 🎣👍
