J.J. and Thelma often go to verbal war with each other. But when it comes to serious issues, they most definitely have each other's back! 🤜🏿🤛🏾
I agree
Yes they did which is why I loved this show
❤ facts
I love when he calls her baby girl 🥹🥹
It seemed like James got inside JJ.
Me too
Yep.
This scene is incredibly powerful. Imagine losing your beloved father and then the pressure of the world and being the man of the house is all on you where one job loss or another catastrophic event can lead to homelessness. This scene sadly reflects the reality of low income and working people in America even in 2022.
How slow was Michael here? JJ said that guy had a GUN. He expected him to risk his life for a damn tv?
After more than 40 years. the storylines of this awesome classic tv show are still relevant.
Florida: "When I was your age, we didn't even have television."
Michael: "Really... did y'all have electricity?"
Classics like these NEVER get old.
Even though James Evans Sr died, the family still stayed strong for each other and survived. 🙏💪✊
We saw a little bit of James in JJ during this scene.
Wow . This is one rare moment that I have actually seen JJ being very serious
Desperate times call for desperate measures 😬
A rare Real no jive JJ Evans moment!
Thelma was my favorite character in Good Times ❤️🙏🙏🙏 love her. And still love her.
Without James Evans being there he would've been very proud of Junior his eldest by hoping he could have helping out his family with a brand new career in his art
JJ did some real growing up in this episode.
If I could choose a big brother it would be JJ 😉😊💗💗💗💗💗💯
What about malcolm jamal warner (cosby show) or daruis mccrary (family matters)
@@AngelHoll Yes! Here's a few others.
Todd Bridges (Different strokes)
Jason Weaver (Smart Guy)
TI Harris (ATL)
at least JJ puts his foot down just like James would have 2:50.
this reminds me of episode 1 when James went to a pool hall to gamble for the money and here JJ is basically doing the same things with the horse races
IKR
The difference is that James did what he needed to do, and he was done. JJ was doing it full time.
The memories of James Evans wishing he was still with his family doing great things planned for The Evanses
Just like when James had to go out and win with that 3 cushion shot to pay the rent.
Some of the strongest moments of Good Times came from JJ and Thelma stepping up for the family...If Florida had passed, it wouldn't be unconcievable for them to pick up the mantle and continue the series
They killed off the WRONG parent... 😕
Real talk
Yeah
Lol. I never thought of things from that perspective. Interesting point.
Don't say that
Exactly 😂
James would have been very proud for looking out for his sister Thelma
This cannot be the same show that the animation is trying to reboot
Ikr!! The cartoon is pure trash!! It’s getting dragged for filth everywhere!!
This was such a good show.
Jimmie walker says the other cast members werent really friendly with him cept for bernadette he said she was very kind to him
And Ralph too.
this the episode when JJ started selling coke and Florida kicks him out.
Actually, he was dealing with taking illegal bets. He didn't know about the dope until the end.
@@BrotherDerrick3X oh yea, the part when he came out the closet and was hiding from the police.
At least he didn't go to jailed
Where did he go to earn the money? I forget!
He borrowed it from a loan shark some guy he knew called Sweet Daddy
He got involved in this gambling ring.
Wow I love this!
Me too jimmie walker and bernadette made the sitcom funny!!!!
How did you enjoy the 50th anniversary milestone of this show
