  • Our John Deere 1025r passes the 50 hours mark. I give a quick review so far and was it worth the investment.

The 1025 is the ultimate tractor. My x575 is awesome but a quick attach system won't be feasible on it. Will look forward to a 1025r one day. Thanks sharing

I purchased my 1025R in Dec, 2018. Last night I noticed I have 48 hours on mine. I don't have a backhoe but ballast box with a i-match quick hitch. I love using this tractor. It is amazing what I can do with it. I believe it was a very good investment.

This might be my favorite video of yours so far, Tom. I take delivery of mine next weekend and cannot wait to use it. I’m starting with the front loader, a rotary cutter and a rake to help me groom and maintain almost 4 miles of trails.

A very honest and experienced review, excellent! I enjoyed watching the tasks you have performed with the tractor so far and how much you have utilized your tractor. I'm taking delivery of a new 1025R soon, and I can't wait to get to work on my property with it! I'm a new subscriber after watching this...thanks so much!

Nice video . You sure have put that tractor to good use . Yes we dream about a bigger tractor but that's the same with every thing . A bigger house , a bigger truck , bigger property and the lists goes on and on . LOL . You're one of the smart ones . Be happy with what you have . Be careful in what we wish for because you just might get your wish and you end up thinking OH NO why did I do that .LOL .Did you ever find the problem with your truck while towing your trailer . Take care .

Henry Rodgers truck still does it. Dealer said they never heard of it before. It’s says disconnected but the lights and brakes still work. Just annoying on a long trip.

I have the rk37 shuttle shift with backhoe I justify the cost of no medical bills on my body , money well spent to save my body. my number one best Implement is a root rake grapple from The Rake shop in Deland Florida

Hello from a new subscriber. Got my first tractor (a 1025 R ) about 2 months ago and I agree with everything you said. I've watched all your videos and many others on TH-cam and enjoy learning any tips or techniques . In my opinion the thumb attachment for the backhoe is my favorite toy at moment. It's a poor man's grapple and has been a big help getting next year's firewood cut . Keep up the good work.

Every time I think I want a larger tractor I get in a tight area and I am reminded how good my tractor is. (B7100hst 4x4)

I have a Kubota BX25D no regrets. Today I used my backhoe for the first time this year to dig up a clogged drain line 5 feet deep and add a clean out. I don't know how much money I might have saved but it needed done now and I didn't have to wait on anyone. Your videos are also very well done👍.

Awesome video. i sure love my 1025R. My favorite emplement is also the front end loader. These tractors are a godsend.my backhoe attatchment makes a good ballast weight as well, or my rear 3-point hitch bladeI'll take that model plane off your hands, lol lol lol.

Some people want to skip the backhoe. I understand the cost factor but what about the work/enjoyment factor. Added versatility to your machine. Big thing for me is seat time! Do I need to remove ALL those stumps. Well, with Buckthorn and Box Elder (trash/invasive trees) it is essential but the rest is Seat Time!

Thanks Tom! I really want a 1025r, but I’m trying to justify if I need a backhoe or not. I will probably end up skipping it and get other attachments that I will get more use from.

So did you pull the 50 hr. service or are you going to wait for 100 hr. like the manual says? I'm in the same boat, just turned 50 hr. and am undecided. Great video.

Robert Bauman I’m going to get the 200hr filters and fluid kit and install it at 75hr. That’ll be just before the weather changes, although it hasn’t been that great yet.

You talked of saving money on attachments a good point . Would you now having gone thru a winter consider buying a heated cab ?

    • @ataleofthreecabins1025
      @ataleofthreecabins1025  4 ปีที่แล้ว

Those are pretty pricey and not compatible with the backhoe. Though I would enjoy plowing snow in a a warm atmosphere:)

@@ataleofthreecabins1025 understand that , thought you will change from the backhoe to rear weights to have more comfort ,yes cabs cost but can you put a price on playing , sorry working in snow with out a jacket and laughing at wind driven sleet and snow ?

My Rural King 24 is very similar, including fuel burn. Backhoe is coming in soon (didn't realize the rental expense for a small excavator was so high!!!). Thanks for sharing! Go to bxpanded.com/piranha-toothbar if you need to remove brush/do some FEL digging, great tooth bar!!!
