It does the same thing, but this feature is good for all types of Automations and not only Volume automation. I did this with Volume Automation cause it's easier to understand the concept that way, but you can use Trim on a Frequency Band Automation of an EQ plugin for example :-)
If you want to raise or lower a track's volume over all but keep the relative volume automation you have done earlier, I think the answers in the video is not quite satisfactory. I would like to do that with a fader, not selecting ranges and modify with mouse wheel etc. A better answer can be to create a VCA fader, if you have Cubase pro. With that you can change the over all volume without messing with the previous volume automation.
Good observation, if you use Scale Vertically like shown in this video, that will be very close to Relative Volume Automation since it uses percentage values. A VCA fader is also a good option like you mention, but on my side, I never use a VCA Fader to control only one channel. If I only need to change automation by a few dbs, I don't care much if the automation stays to absolute values ;) That could be a good topic for a future video.

we need same studio rack or instr rack as stock plug in 😭
Is your Ultimate Cubase Mixing Master Class only for people who have Cubase PRO?
Cubase and studio one have something in common they look like twins from thesame mother....no difference av never see two Daws that looks and act so much alike
Reduction is pathetic in cubase, setting it before you write there's no relevance unless you keep reperforming it over and over.
Just a slider afterwards to adjust number of points like other daws would be nice.
I'm sorry, but you talk too fast and move the curser too quickly. I can't keep up with you.
Take a shot everytime he says the word automation
Thanks so much
