"I don't wanna break up but Johnny and Joey do..." (not surprising considering Joey and Johnny never got along!) ...but as a huge Ramones fan, I am so thankful they stuck together for so long despite their interpersonal conflicts. They made legendary music that has changed my life! ❤️

Love the Howard Stern shows of the 90s they were fantastic! And they should bring back a lot of great memories of the time. I can’t remember how are used to laugh while at work listening to Howard and regular radio here in Los Angeles.
I saw The Ramones on the final tour. So awesome. Man, and remember when Howard's studio was a glorified closet? The Sirius XM studio is big enough for full band set ups. I wish The Ramones could've played on the show at least once.
whoami7721 It was a glorified closet because it was the actual studio for the radio station he originated the show from and was on in New York, the-then WXRK (92.3 K-Rock), now WNYL (Alt 92.3 - New York’s New Alternative).

I've been dying to hear the parts from different dates than this where Joey fights with Marky and exposes him for wearing a wig.
As well as when Joey left a wasted drunk voicemail to Gary, then was embarrassed and didn't want Howard to play it on the air but he did anyway. I've never heard them ever after years of checking youtube, I'd even drop like five bucks if anyone has them
The Ramones influenced a lot of bands that are still jamming to this day.

Joey had health issues and he couldn't continue. Johnny kept pushing for more touring and Joey had had enough. He had medical issues the rest of his short life.
I wish it was only Joey in this interview.

I think it was a good idea to breakup before the mainstream of the 90s punk music. They were at their peak musically but leaving on a high note before they became parody of themselves.
