T7 Rally Tower Pro from Prototype Team

  • With the heavy Carpe Iter Pad on top I needed a more robust front.
The solution was the rally tower from Prototype Team in Bologna, Italy.
Besides the great sturdiness of the front it also gives a new set of lights and a whole new look to the Tenere 700.

Nice to have a garage to work inside! I brought a coffee, watching Your latest video, while I wait for the raindrops to hold up. But working on the bike is fun even outside the overloaded garage... but not as fun as your work seems to be, mine is much needed maintenance 👀😂. Looks to be nice, good looking and representative for the trip Rob. Bet wife is happy! 👀😁🙌😂

Best part about this was seeing how the whole front end on my bike is put together without having to take mine apart! :-) Seriously tho....great looking, and seemingly well built tower! Bit expensive for me as a 'must have,' but the extra lighting is great and I like the one-piece wind screen/headlight cover. At 6' 1" I went with the taller Rally Raid screen on mine, and it works great....wondering how this one will work out for you. Another great garage project, documented well...cheers Robert!

The piece seems to be a more stable solution to carry the Carpe Iter, which is generally the priority. I find the clear view towards the front wheel through the large windscreen quite amusing. Not bad at all. But I can't even say whether I like the look or not. Definitely interesting! The price? Well, I'd say, this to create, it took much time, so the price is probably justified. Would i buy it? Well, if I have the money for a Carpe Iter, then I'm sure I'll also have it for that tower, too!😉 Thanks for sharing and I wish you and your buddies a lot of fun on your next longer trip.🤘

Good to see. I’m considering similar for my KTM 690. One concern I’d have is how much light bounce back you get from the screen at night. Some versions I have seen have blacked out areas enclosing the headlight to reduce this glare.
