After watching a few of your videos I started using easy grout. So easy to use but you definitely need the Pedalo wash bucket!

Yes if your doing it all the time the pedlo system will save your back and knees , which is a must as well as being quicker John, again great info and top tips from a proper landscaper , have a good week mate and stay safe 👍

Great work as always, you make it look easy! Would you recommend a slurry grout for a limestone patio? Or would you say a traditional jointing compound would be better for limestone? Thanks in advance
Thanks Stephen for watching, I am not sure about Limestone as it will absorb moisture rapidly and it maybe better if you send Azpects a message.
Great videos, but just one thing how would pouring be more effective in filling voids compared to floating where you are able to apply more pressure which in theory would be a more compacted joint?
A slurry grout just fills the voids that maybe left in the bedding mortar making it a more complete unit

I’m going to be using Easygrout on my porcelain patio in a few weeks so have been watching your videos for some guidance. That lower patio where you used the more slurry consistency, was that with the manufacturers recommendation of 900ml water per 5kg grout - and as a beginner, would you recommend that I follow this guideline? Additionally, how many tubs did you get through for that whole patio, just to give me a gage of how much to buy (my patio is an area of 35m2)?

I use a little less water and you can actually use a jug to pour it in to reduce the mess
Great videos, should you have gone over the manhole cover? wont it be difficult to get it back up after the grout has cured?

Hey John, thanks for all the great advice its encouraged me to takle about 20m² porcelain job at home. Quick question, I have left 20mm gap between house and porcelain as you have suggested in previous videos but what do you fill this gap with? The easy grout or somthing else?
@omm is a big gap for grout

Don't know if this is a daft question, is there much difference between wall tanking slurry mix and primer slurry mix? I've got tanking mix left over and looking to use it up if it has multiple uses?

Hi John, seen a few of your videos using the easy grout, looks good we’re going to give it a try on our next porcelain job. Noticed you always use the dark grey colour any reason for this? Have you tried any of the other colours? Thanks

Just laid a similar patio. I was cleaning it all the time when laying it. Only way I could get out the garden, was to walk over it. Got a couple of cement stains. Want to get rid before grouting. Any tips?

We had a nightmare with the manhole covers. Ended up using a multitool to cut the grout out to free them! We tried the tape for the steps too and it just wouldn't stick. I'm going to have to go back and try again!

Push the grout in then immediately lift the carrier box out and give it a wipe with sponge pop back in and jobs a gooden.
Is using dust instead of sharp sand ok to lay porcelain slabs
Dust can be unstable a bit but Sharp is better
Hi Johny, could this be used on Brazilian Black Slate rather than Easy Point, the colour and finish is far better?
Not really Ash mate, i have done it but its not recommended by the manufacturer as it drys to quick I just took my time but it was difficult.

Have you used flow point before?
Looks like its much easier to use as you can simply hose it off after the 15 minute cure time
No to be honest mate but seen it in place and it looks a bit grainy
I’ve just used a flowpoint fine grade on a porcelain job, it still doesn’t look completely like a smooth grout but it’s well on the way there compared to the standard smooth charcoal flowpoint
Exact reason I decided against the flow point. Looks a fantastic hard wearing product. But it's gritty appearance put me off and made me choose the easygrout instead
@@richwallwin having looked at both products the flow point looks much easier to use it comes in 25kg bags and its cheaper too!
@@makemefamous1232 ye can’t knock it’s strength and ease of use, I think the more it’s discussed in the industry the more they’ll gear it to private sector use not just the heavy duty comical sector jobs like town centre paving and cobble streets
