Uber is always going to make a driver feel like they’re getting screwed, BECAUSE YOU ARE! LMAO Anytime you can’t understand in plain terms what you’re getting paid, it’s a HORRIBLE idea to even deal with the company doing this.
In Chicago during bar hours Gryft actually pays more lately about 60% of the time with decent surges and 30% + turbos. But if there's no surge the pay is still crap even with 50% turbos.
@@keylovesyhuthe pay now sucks everywhere. And I’m in Chicago as well. So I’ve noticed for about 2 months now, nobody seems to take the rides anymore. Within 20 mins, I could get about 30 requests. They just keep popping on the screen.
Only change I've seen is the pick up distance which has killed my acceptance rate. Sorry Uber, but I'm not driving 19 miles for a pick up. Back to Lyft till y'all get that fixed.
19 miles is ridiculous. I’ve had a few of those. Always denied them except one time when it was a 20 miles pickup to a local Walgreens and back and the app paid me $43.
I find that boost always works against the driver. If there are drivers online that did not accept the boost, they will be prioritized. Also, the boost would always send me away from the boosted area and I find myself chasing the boosted hour which comes down to about 2 rides. Eff the boost.
They drop the rates for the customer we don't make any money......🤦🏾🤦🏾 in my town they do an amount like $4to$9 each trip but they drop the rate so low it's ridiculous man smh......
With how every service industry has increased their prices by at least 50% so they can pay their workers a lot more, Uber has not done that for us. They want customers to still continue taking Uber at a cheap rate and for them to make their profit, they have cut our pay significantly. They’ve added share rides to Uber x to force u to take them even though it’s more work but pay significantly less. In some places, about 60-70% over the last 3 yrs and have made it difficult to make any decent money.
Gryft gives endless $2.12 - $3.15 trips in Chicago (and pax will take 3 min to get into your car!). $2.12 is a f-ing insult and Dave Risher should be ASHAMED of himself offering SLAVE wages.
So it appears that it’s per ride in some info and per hour in others. So far, I’ve only been able to catch one ride in the “area”. Every time, the ride begins in the area and then drives me out of the territory- and now can’t get back into the area to catch any more.
OK...have to ask. What is the downside of signing up for the Boost+, then just going about your day? If you happen to be active in that area for any part of that time, you get some extra money for no extra effort. If not, it isn't like it cost you anything. As long as you aren't chasing it, why not? Who knows, you might end up in that area and make a few extra bucks.
Sergio - the ONLY possible way for Uber to pay us more is for passengers to see how much of their fare is going to the driver. Shaming Dara and Dave is the ONLY WAY.
They usually offer these at times I wouldn't drive anyway. But I saw through the shenanigans. Especially when it started getting higher and higher with each offer.
They're also offering $6.50 for active hour. That's ridiculous because in Houston. First 250000 cars at 1 time. Trying to get to the downtown area where this zone is. And it's just not worth it the traffic. The weight you'll maybe get one ride and that's it
This replaces the per trip boost which hurt you if you took a long trip. Usually if I am in a boost zone in ATL it’s at a time and place where I should be able to get 3 or 4 short trips in that hour and maximize the boost. So, this market, in those conditions you don’t have idle time. If you’re in a place where there will be idle time this may not be for you, or seek a long trip that will consume most of the time. But if I am inside the perimeter in ATL at one of the times this is usually active I am going to get the full, or nearly full boost. That’s just the market and when I drive again I’ll try this and report back because we have this here.
Uber & Lyft are to focused on mileage when they should concern themselves with the time it takes to complete the rides. I had a 6 minute pickup and 18 minute ride which is 24 total minutes for $5.19 I’m sorry but idc how low my acceptance rate drops I can’t survive making $5.19 for half an hour they said that the trip was only 3.2 miles it doesn’t matter how many miles it was, it’s gonna take 24 minutes to complete break that down that’s $10.48 an hour which is excusable and unacceptable. They said they pay the average for my city well those people working in warehouses and other jobs don’t have the expenses drivers have and on top of that we have to be like by riders, help with bags when most don’t tip. I’m a 4.99 rated driver diamond for 5 years straight but things have gotten completely out of hand.
Respectfully asking 🤔🧐 Why are you a diamond driver? That's the real question. Do you get anything different than us cherry picking drivers? If you're diamond that means you can only decline a few trips per shift so you actually take trips that aren't really profitable 🤔 Right or Wrong? Maybe I don't fully understand what it means to be a diamond driver....
@@kevinroper3388 yeah I get free towing. I drive a Tesla which don’t bring spares. I’ve used this service twice in the last 4 months also got a free Costo membership, first dips on reservations which pay extremely well and they also offer other things I can’t recall rn.
I am a diamond driver (barely) sometimes I have to decline a ton of the unprofitable insurance reservations. I drive an EV so time is more important than mileage. My rule of thumb is total time divided by half should be close to half the time as dollar compensation.
$3.50 active boost+ crap in Tampa from 5pm-6pm today (Thursday 11/21/24 …and Uber here throws sh!t rides to drivers, such as .60-.80 cents per mile trips. In heavy traffic going in and away from St.Petersburg. In that active hour a panhandler gets more than $3.50 on the side of the road.
WTF I thought they give that amount each time u get a call in that area . What a rip off No wonder once I started I got a 9 bucks call white I thought it should have been 19 cuz 10 dollar was active hour promotion for that hr smh
The boost plus turns out to be a few extra pennies! Really doesn't matter if the fares are GARBAGE! Not accepting garbage trios to begin with, so Boost+ Really doesn't matter! Pay a FAIR fare!!!!

Most drivers of looking at the money not the time
As soon as Boost+ went into effect, the surge prices already in that area completely disappeared.

And who’s gonna force them to do that. Only way is communicate that with your riders. I’ve been doing that a lot.
@@markmensah7133 We need to fight for full transparency and also not let them get away with fraudulent insurance charges.
My husband and I and a good friend all drive- and at the exact same time we are receiving 3 different amounts of boost money.
They only offer it if you pick up at the airport which from my apt is 40 miles away in Houston
They been offering the boost in downtown for the pass week or so. For me at least.

@Dexion845 I like that strategy!
We get $3.00 “boost” in NE Florida. You know, on top of the .45 to .60 per mile we get now. Worthless.

Not counting their lower the fairs
It’s a very misleading boost and out right catch to make drivers drive more for less.
