Unfortunately, for me, DJ Studio is much more complicated than a live mix with a DJ controller. With DJ Studio, you have to do too much rework and fine-tune the tracks, it all takes far too long and is frustrating. It has nothing to do with mixing! If you really just want to create edits, this is of course a good option.
@@kadmon78 As I said, good for producing and editing, not for mixing dj sets. With DJ software and controller I am faster and more efficient. And it's much more fun than just clicking with the mouse. ;-)

Lovin the Software. But one Question - how you can isolate the Drums of Track 1 on 00:40 without doing a Transition to the Drums of Track 2. I can't do this and always got an Transition
Let's say you wanna fade a melody or whatever away and you want to bring it back, is there a way to do that? Like have a separation in between or something?
You make this look WAY easier than it is. Maybe it's me but I am having a VERY hard time with the UI and getting things how I want them. It's incredibly frustrating.
Im using this right now and let me tell you great idea but so rough to use especially with fading the starts and ends during track separation and at this point when I select to cut the drums or vocals its not even working. Needs work but when its finalized Im sure its going to be the tool all DJ are looking for.
@@djstudioappIn your demonstration it looks so easy how you click each stem to cut off and grab the fade point on each end but trying to replicate your process I found myself clicking around and not being able to achieve that. Also the double click zoom looks flawless when you show but again I had to click off and click on and click to the right or left open space of the track to zoom and it worked sometimes while other times I would be clicking around for sometime to get the zoom at one point not working and switching back to the Carrousel view to zoom. I might also have to mention that I wasn’t trying to do a 3-4 track mix. I really pushed the software importing 54 tracks to stress test. Last thing I noticed was when I did the vocal and instrumental separation the tracks did not pop up I had to right click and show all tracks. When I finally got the vocal and the instrumental on separate tracks, I would press play and realize that the track was doubled playing the original track with the stems, but also the vocal and the instrumental that was separated got a little bit confusing when I turned off the vocal and the instrumental and then I went to the main track for the four small buttons to de-select drums vocals, etc even selecting the vocal and also deleting the vocal track. The vocal was still playing, and I had no way of stopping it that might’ve been a glitch or wrong doing on my part, but I believe there could be a way to avoid this confusion altogether. I apologize if this sounds a bit vague I’ll try to do a video of the process and get back to you.
it is already. Start it up without internet and it will show a flight-mode icon in the top right corner. everything (except streaming music) works offline.
Hi, you can't do stem separation on tracks from TH-cam. If you start a local files project and add Beatsource/Beatport tracks, you will be able to do stem separation.
This is great for mixing 2 tracks but if I'm making an edit of just one track I have zero control or automation options in the stems window. Thats super basic unless Im missing something
Can you use this software to actually make a remix/bootleg of existing music or mastering tracks that aren't balanced right? It's very expensive to buy this and Ableton at the same time so I'm wondering if I can get away with using the full version of DJ Studio ? I make samples and beats in other software and would like to use DJ Studio to bring it all together. Thanks!
I don't know if we are the right fit for you. We are a DAW for DJ mixes and mashups. We have a free trial, so download it and see for yourself if it is a fit.

Thank you for this great option I have a question, you dragged a sample and it copied instead of moved. How do we do that? BTW, I'm still going through the tutorial videos, so I hope it's in there. By pressing the Option key, you can drag a sample from the transition window. It works also on marked blocks. It will kopie the block to the sample lane for you. If you leave me a message in the messenger in the bottom right corner of DJ.Studio then I share this project with you.
Recently started with DJ Studio wondering if i could use it for remixes, instead of Ableton or using Traktor for live remixing. I guess that question just got answered. How about the quality of the stem separation? Which algorithm are you using? I have the stems already separated with htdemucs, but perhaps I can rely on Dj Studio for that in the future?
We use Demucs as well. They are the best available in the market at the moment. We do not use HT. It is four times slower using an average of four models, but our experience is that the result is not hearable better.

If Logic X brings audio separation in the app, Dj Studio will not be necessary. Workflow is faster, you can move tracks easily, handle plug in better, handle volumes fast. Automations are simple in Logic. You can add channels and edit track faster. They only lack of a transient mode that works good and lack of stems. It's a mess right now, not intuitive. It's a crime only using undo edo as cmd-Y instead of classic cmd-shift-Y...
I think you are better of with Logic X. It is targeted at producers. We are a DAW for DJs with different needs. We make DJ mixes and work with already produced music.

Mark a block and then right-click. You see a popup menu with options for copying Drums (cmd+1), Bass (Cmd+2), Melody (cmd+3), or Vocals (cmd+4).

You can move the first beat marker to align the sample to the beatgrid.

Are you referring to the fact that the smallest measure in DJ.Studio is a beat?

Hi, you can't do stem separation on tracks from TH-cam. If you start a local files project and add Beatsource/Beatport tracks, you will be able to do stem separation.

They have a really good keyboard centric workflow though. Hopefully midi is coming at some point.

Hey Davide. At the moment the AI beatgrid is part of the AI stem separation extension. When you install that you will get the AI beatgrid as well.

It's okay-ish. The stem server will fight with DJ Studio for memory, so things get slower. That's why we advise 16GB of RAM.
