I see I am not the only one to cut a bevel on the head of the stud to get it in. I found that a standard lug turned around with the flat to the hub worked well. I have also used a hex nut in the correct pitch. I really enjoy your videos, keep them coming.
+Jon Rushing I missed the notification because the layout changed and I was in the middle of moving, taxes, and buying a house. By the time I found the notification most of the time had passed, and then there's a few weeks on top of that before it came.
Cool video with the paragliding, when i took licens around 15 years ago, and engine license dident exist yet, the instructor that sell me the italian 215cc 4 blade engine told me, " no problem just ad full throttle and run " thanks for that and 20kg overload on normal paraglide ( without instructer on first try ). Amazing feeling ! Ended up selling the shit after flying when just before sun go down and on the way back the fuel ran out and it was dark, and stalled the dam thing when i try to reach a good landing area close to road with lights, just dam lucky free falling.
I just start the lug in the hub so the knurling holds the stud to keep it from turning, then put the wheel(and drum if needed) back on and use some grease on the wheel and nut taper to prevent galling the tapers(clean off the grease when done) . Then use a breaker bar and feel for when the stud bottoms out.
+Corky C You're welcome! I missed last Wednesday for the first time in years (the dentist day). I really, really, appreciate the support I get. I don't want to disappoint.
+Ozzstar I bought an expensive specialty tool that helps suck lug nuts in. I feel silly now, with all these simple and effective ways to go. The Lisle tool for of course got stolen. It's advantage may be that it spins protecting the lug nut even more.
+Dan Bonnett I'm backwards. I barely have electric, but man, once I had just a couple, they sure get used! Matco 1/4" ratchet and infinium impact screwdriver. If you want to check it out, I can tell you where to look.
i find it kind of odd that you put out this video, being as i realized i had a broken lug stud yesterday. so in addition to fantastic videos you also have great timing. lol :) keep up the good work!
what do you know about dodge/ram truck steering failure... I bring this up because a friend just had his steering fall out and the wheels collapsed. ..just got off the freeway driving 80 plus...wow! perhaps you could address this known fail
funny we have a town and country and my dad snapped off a stud on the same exact wheel like 2 months ago wish i had seen this video so we could have fixed it together
So that metabo is a beast you say, when do we get to see the review on that Brian? And you say you're working with real tool reviews, that's cool! Thanks for the tips hope you guys feels better soon. #tiacrew.
+Tahoe0512 That gun is awesome. It sucked... that wheel stud right through the hub while polishing it back to smooth at the same time. The mountains are called the "Rockies." This is where I do my skiing.
Some soccer mom's in a van are the worst. I was in stand still traffic and she still managed to hit me. She was in a rush and had the audacity to say afterwards "What happened?" I was so pissed.
+Ray97 When you ride a bike, you get sensitive to crap like that I suppose. I can't tell you how many close calls I've had and how low the level of concern was from the drivers that have almost killed me. Same goes for when I'm directing traffic or on cross walk duty.
briansmobile have you grown to like the motabo? i hear they are just about the gold standard... every tool is different. in this business, tools can be an addiction. by the way, always good information when it comes to subaru's. i do appreciate your hard work and knowledge. it appears that these cars do have a bit of cult following, even here in the south where they do not rust out, as they can in your sate.
+Justa Hondafan If the frame was perfect and I was swerving I would agree with you. I was watching the road first and the filming was secondary (sucked). What you didn't see was what inspired me to film her. I had to leave my lane to keep the paint and body work clean. And then she jumped the curb on the inside curve of the on-ramp. It was special.
+briansmobile1 Oh yeah. They say it's bad, but as long as I'm at normal, filming and driving has me more aware then day dreaming and driving. It's illegal In UT...so I did my filming in another state where I don't know the law, lol. I take that back, I think it's just illegal to use your phone at all, so if you used something else to film, then it's legal...maybe not, but I got that impression!

DUDE! My 100k subscriber plaque came today from TH-cam! AWESOME SAUCE! Thanks everybody for your support and making this channel what it is today!
+briansmobile1 took them awhile.
+briansmobile1 You deserve it man! You are awesome!
You have taking the time to help others out time and time again!
Aloha and take care

+iworkforbudlight Thanks!
+briansmobile1 knowing the horrible health conditions you were in, would you have helped the same way if the person in need was male?

Thanks for pulling that video together! It looked like you were really hurting - you're a dedicated man to your viewers!

Super Dale kicking birds again.... :-) Congrats on the plaque.
Good job Brian. Done a couple that way myself. Congrats on your plaque.
The added sailing is great, thanks.
+Wythegoodsense Welcome. Once taxes are done, I'll be doing a lot of that stuff on my other channel- "theskiviking" here on TH-cam.
A thrust bearing works great instead of a wrench or a washer.
i have always used 2 over sized washers and the lug nut. Usually works fine. And good stunt man directing at the end! lol
+Ozzstar I bought an expensive specialty tool that helps suck lug nuts in. I feel silly now, with all these simple and effective ways to go.
The Lisle tool for of course got stolen. It's advantage may be that it spins protecting the lug nut even more.
why couldnt you use that metal shield that goes on at the end. it.gives good distance. would it bent inside?
I still don't have air tools. I rock a cordless impact; such an awesome tool.
+Dan Bonnett I'm backwards. I barely have electric, but man, once I had just a couple, they sure get used! Matco 1/4" ratchet and infinium impact screwdriver. If you want to check it out, I can tell you where to look.
I use my adjustable wrench handle which has a nice tapered hole in the handle and have sucked in about 50+ lugs with it thus far.
+ykmalachi That's brilliant! I love that idea!
Great tip Brian, I got a broken stud on a log splitter I just got on a trade. I'll put this tip to work today! Take care bro
+bubbacrabb bubbacrabb!!!! How have you been brother?!
+briansmobile1 been doing pretty well. Getting ready for turkey season and fishing!
I did the same thing to a rear wheel stud on a 2005 Town and Country.
Thanks Chrysler.
Surprises though out the video. Nice save on the stud and the ending was fun!
my grandmother used to say... Bless your heart... sarcastically. .
Sounds like little rotax engines on those backpack uitsn
+JEREMY FOUNTAIN (THEMOWERMEDIC1) They're Italian two strokes, but they use a big Warlboro carburetor.
buen trabajo amigo brian
+1elAguila Gracias amigo!
+briansmobile1 Brian, it looks like there was a fresh brake job done why not replace the wheel stud when the shoes and hardware were off?
So just out of curiosity, why was the option to not pull the hub assembly used? that is how I have always replaced studs on most mini vans.
i find it kind of odd that you put out this video, being as i realized i had a broken lug stud yesterday. so in addition to fantastic videos you also have great timing. lol :) keep up the good work!

My 2010 Outback does this weird pulsing/vibrating when I brake if I am going over 30. Do you know what this is from?
The ending is EPIC!!! Awesome!!! :)
Thanks Brian WE always GET something GOOD from your videos !
AND, you know US, if you weren't GOOD, WE wouldn't WATCH !!
i like my cordless milwaukee impact havent came across anything it wont remove yet
funny we have a town and country and my dad snapped off a stud on the same exact wheel like 2 months ago wish i had seen this video so we could have fixed it together

98 town and country issues, and working for free on it, ericthecarguy and you need to talk about your nightmares which no doubt followed
What kind of cordless impact did you have - looked like Hitachi???
+Donald Ellett He tells the name of it @ 4:48, I think it is Matabo brand.
wish we had beaches that beautiful..
nice mountains at the beginning of the video. Do you go skiing out there? What do they call?
And gun sucks.
+Tahoe0512 That gun is awesome. It sucked... that wheel stud right through the hub while polishing it back to smooth at the same time. The mountains are called the "Rockies." This is where I do my skiing.
where ar you located? the mountains look like colorado
+Wayne'sWork I'm in Cedar Valley, Utah.
briansmobile1 that makes sense. beautiful there, i see.
I used the car's lug wrench and the wheel to draw in the new lug not having any mechanics tools.
That works! Way to go!
Some soccer mom's in a van are the worst. I was in stand still traffic and she still managed to hit me. She was in a rush and had the audacity to say afterwards "What happened?" I was so pissed.

Thanks nice trick to get out of a jam.
My Dad showed me this trick before. It's a great tip.
+bennydman666 I've seen the trick and I always forget to use it. Repeat, repeat, then I'll remember to do it.
DE Nichols It's a great tip that saves time and effort.
bennydman666
See, I knew I saw you on another video recently! :)
is it possible to use other side of nut..I see all your colleagues doing it..or use old nuts...goedendag
sorry my bad ..goedendag

Where did you get your traffic advisor light bar from?
+Collin Sexton STL
Brian; with the 18 wheeler, I just placed a wheel in place and sucked all 10 studs thru the hub or axle+ hub...
Wait is that an O'Reilly hat? I need to ask for one.
Just did my Tax and TH-cam tax also.
Aloha
my grandma used to call my brother spanky when we were little
Nice 007 deal at the end, even though it would have cost me about 14k I would have pulled the releases and jumped in the truck. ;-)
+JimsEquipmentShed Pretty fun eh?
briansmobile1
I'm surprised he could fly with those giant brass balls.... ;-)
What the heck was that bfate all about? Air mail, or air male, in for a touch N go!
Oh yeah I knew there was more LOL 👍👍
cool
touch-and-go
bro, we agreed you're a milwaukee guy now lmfao whats this metabo stuff??!
it blown up yet?
ditto on tax season! The BIG con of working for your self.
Brian I'm sorry you got attacked and they ripped most of your beard off 😯. It's ok though, it will grow back.
Gorilla on steroids :) haha nice
The lady in the car was "multitasking" , that is Bullshit. Driving is a serious thing, often forgotten.
You're criticizing the person on the phone, but yet you're taking video while driving, including zooming in and out? Pot meet kettle.
Brain is a professional.
+Justa Hondafan If the frame was perfect and I was swerving I would agree with you. I was watching the road first and the filming was secondary (sucked). +briansmobile1 I have a thousand hours on that model of camera anyway. I don't have to look at it.
+briansmobile1 Oh yeah.

How do u like that gun say compared to your Dewalt or Milwaukee? Is it a half inch?
