Yes I agree cub cadet did a great job on design! When 1st saw this mower at home depot I was shocked! Like wow!!!
I just bought the ZT2 54", my first zero turn. They were on sale for $200 off plus 12 months interest free financing through Home Depot with an additional $100 off for opening a credit card account. $3599 plus tax, free shipping to my door right from the factory in TN, it was a great deal. I love it, runs smooth, rides great, cuts great. I can run full speed over my bumpy 1.1 acres with no problems! It cut my mowing time in half over my old 42" lawn tractor. It's also a better looking machine than any other, if that's important to you (-; It looks like 2020 not 1970! Make sure your rear tires are at @ 10psi for a nice ride!
When you have a small business like i do sometimes you have to take a chance. Let me set some people straight on this mower. I have used Ariens mowers also and this needs some recognition. I bought one at the start of the 2019 mowing season and have run this thing daily all 2019 season and now into the start of 2020.
I broke a spindle by hitting a low fence stump (all my fault) and replaced an idler pulley for the belt, because i though it was wobbling a bit too much. Turns out, the new one does it too.
In short, I have taken this thing on banks way in excess of the mowers capabilities on a daily basis, ditches, roadside banks, through wooded areas, and in places it shouldn't go.
YES, I might be a little mad, but this mower did it and didn't care. This is one of those hidden capability mowers that can do far more than it will ever get credit for. Now, am a Cub Cadet fan? Nope and never will be. But this thing is awesome. I have watched videos on people dissing this thing and its smaller siblings. Moan about this, moan about that. It is a different animal for sure. Jeez I think with a little more coaxing I will get mine to climb a tree.
The Kawasaki is flawless, change oil and filter every fifty hours, running Mobil 1. Hydro's getting oil change this weekend. Apart from a flat tire and some mechanical issues that were operator error nothing has gone wrong. Over 260hrs without a single thing wrong. Does your mower do that?

Just got my ZT2 delivered yesterday. Curious if you have had any issues with grass clippings piling up on top of the deck? I mowed 6" tall grass for an hour and noticed a couple inches of clippings on top of the deck that I had to pull off by hand. Wonder if I'm missing something or doing something wrong....
I got the zt3. 3100 hydros, commercial kaw fs730v, 4ply Carlisle tires 20x12x10 in back. Suspended castors, 24 inch seat back. On sale til Oct 31 with special 0 percent full term financing options. 4499. We hope It's our last mower in retirement and we love it.

… I think this mower shown has the 3100 hydro…, I just bought a zt2, 60”, and it has the 2800 hydro…, which does not have reservoirs… my dealer told me, the zt2 60” comes, some with 2800 hydros, some with 3100 hydros.. the 3100 is commercial grade…
I have the ZT1 50 inch and it stripes really well. No kit just the deck and its pretty good.
I was dead set on getting that mower. I went to a nearby dealer and they had Bad Boy mowers. I ended up leaving with the 61" Bad Boy Rogue with the Kawasaki FX1000 35hp engine. What a BEAST! I am loving life!

I’ve watched this a couple times trying to decide on my purchase. Just ordered the ZT2 60. Anxiously waiting for it! I have no misconception of this being a GREAT mower.... I have never had anything but a “garden tractor” and am excited to have a dedicated mower! Plus... look at it, it’s a great looking piece! Thanks for all your opinions... honestly. I will let you know how I like it and if any of the “known issues” pop up....🤞🏻

I have the 50" ZT2 and it stripes pretty good for deck itself. I would like to get the strip attachment to improve it even more. I have been overall happy with mine. I have just shy of 5 hours, but I only have a 12k sq ft yard to cut, but part is on a slope. I it only takes me around 20 minutes to cut my yard so I have used it several times within that 5 hours. Coming from a push more with stripe attachment that took me 2 hours to cut my yard, I can't complain.

I have the ZT-1 50 now, and also coming from a push mower. But the ZT-1 did not reduce my cut time compared to the push mower,-----because I made my yard much bigger.
There is only so much you are willing to cut with a pusher. :)

@@johnleon2594 i had my eyes on the spartan, bobcat, gravely, bad boy, etc. I went to dealerships that had them in stock and played with each of them. i was able to pull the trigger on a new scag lib Z for just over $4k. look for sales, promos, and contact your local dealer to see if they have one in stock, sometimes they have a scratch and dent one and they will knock some more off the price. happy mowing!

The 60 inch deck does stripe, when set 1/4" lower in the front.
Just bought a zt2 50” and the hydros r tz350. U can change fluid but can’t change filter. Not happy bout that but I hopefully will last long time.

I went with an Ariens Ikon X52. I really loved the Cub Ultima ZT2, but for what I got with the Ariens for about $600 less I couldn't pass it up.
Yea I like that mower carbon copy of the gravely .. and you got open deck , but only zt2200 hydros.. which are fine👍
@@SupremeServicesLawnCare Correct. What few people realize is that Ariens owns and builds Gravely. The differences between Ariens and Gravely is literally paint. I even asked a Gravely salesman what the difference was between the one he had and the Ariens Apex at Lowes. His reply was "the paint".

It would great if you could tell us what you think about the toro time cutter without the myride suspension. It has the 10 gauge deck and the 23 kiawasaki. It also has some cool features.
I am leading towards the toro but there is a cub cadet dealer like a 1/2 a mile away.
Not bad ..I Kno they totally redesigned it ...only thing I didn't like in past was no foot assisted deck lift.. and the seat used to be crap . I think they fixed those issues 👍

Yea a few years ago was bomb .. now with new hustler raptor , gravely ztx etc .. ehh .. I dunno .. I personally wouldn't buy a snapper .. but was a great value no doubt .. now not so much ..
Looks sharp, but cub reliability isn't that great. Totaly agree there are better mowers. Maybe turning things around to compete with Toro and Deere again.

Im on the fence about paying the premium for the 2800 hydros on the ZT2. The two im considering the ZT1 50 or ZT2 50. Tough call.

You should check out there pro z models they are basically yellow painted gravelys beefy and solid

While all that bent tubing may look cool, but I question its durability vs straight tubing. I kind of wonder what the wall thickness is of the tubing they used.
Well there’s a lifetime warranty on the frame so you are covered regardless.

Hustler, Scag & Bobcat make such great mowers at that price point, I wouldn't waste my money. Deck looks shallow too.

The design looks good but the attention to detail makes it look cheap. Did it look cheap to you in person? And the deck looks really cheap.
No didn't look cheap really .. design is pretty cool .. I would like a true engine guard .. and the display I don't really like up like it is .. but every mower has it's pros n cons .. when I rode it it was very jerky in my opinion .. not so smooth to steer
I don't think mine looks cheap at all. It reminds me of a nice quality ATV. The deck (54" fab) seems pretty sturdy as well. My controls seem smooth and firm, even over rough ground I have no problems keeping it straight.
I don't think it is a good idea to cut off the bar/lip on the deck at the discharge hole for 2 reasons.
1) It adds rigidity and durability to the deck.
2) The blade sticks out about 6" out of that discharge hole, and the only guard you have is that bar/lip, and the flimsy plastic shoot. If you bump that corner into anything with out that bar on it, the blade will hit it, be it a tree trunk, a bigger rock, the corner of your house, or your kids leg.
Please, leave the bar on there.

Yes, the ZT-1 is offered with the Kawasaki engine, (on my 50"), but it is the smaller "691" (726cc, 23hp) V twin. I see yours is a different engine, (thanks to your vid), and has 1 more HP. Looks the same though. Your fron castors are 13", the ZT-1 is 11". The rear tires are the same size, but you hay have a 4 ply tire, while I have a 2 ply tire.
Opps, The ZT1 rear wheels are different. both 20", but X 10 and 8.
Great vid Supreme I had an older cub zero turn with Kawi the decks don’t hold up they shake and rattle a lot and the cut quality is poor everything else holds up pretty good Tractor Supply and Home Depot sell them 👍

I have the zt1 50 with fabricated deck, I love the mower other than the deck vibration, had it in for repairs and is much improved but tensioner pulley bounces too much, belt is too loose and slaps around under the deck. It remains to be seen if it holds up long term? I'm hoping for a solid fix from Cub. My Buddy has the 42 with stamped deck and has no vibration. 👍

zt2 w/60" fabricated deck here. 2 years in, and the fabricated deck is literally coming apart at the seams. metal under the exit chute broke off a year ago, metal on the other side is bent backwards and leaves yard scars in reverse, multiple weld pops across the top. have a cub tractor with a stamped 46", and that thing has held up wayyyyy better. stay away from the fabricated decks, they look beefier, but are craptastic.
Btw... does anyone know how my mower will be delivered from The Home Depot? Crate or assembled?
