Make sure the ribbon cable holder near the power button is also secured! This happened to me - I probably opened it accidentally when taking the top off with a pick, and this is what caused my power light to stutter when I tried to turn on the PSP.

i'm reconnecting the power flex by pushing to the power socket on the psp board then press down the socket lock then put scotch tape on top of the power flex to secure the flex i hope this will answer your question.

i have a red psp 3000, and this is the strange thing: At first it would work fine for hours, i bought it used and modded with cfw, it usually turns on with the charger in tact, but if its only battery forget it, however, when i take the battery out and turn it on with only charger it boots up with green light instead of orange, then after a few minutes i pop the battery in and take out the charger, usually the system can play between 10-30 minutes before a random shutoff, after the shutoff it doesn't turn on without the charger again, also before anyone says, I have already replaced it with a brand new battery, still no luck, i wanted to know if anyone knows this is a cfw issue? Or is it just faulty hardware with the power or something?
@@akedojune No maam, sadly i did not, i replaced the battery, tried numerous different methods, such as recovery boot, nothing helps, like i explained to someone else, I would just say it is faulty hardware at this point :(, if you do manage to figure out something, please let me know!

kuya ice try to troubleshoot step by step 1. try using other charger 2. try to change battery 3 .try to change charging port 4. if is still not charging maybe there is line or board component that is damage you may bring it to repair center .But before you buy charger or battery you have to test it first if is the problem of your psp to save you money if is not the problem don't buy maybe it is on board problem i hope this will help you good luck.

@@KingLlamaYTTTV if the inside of the yellow charging port on the PSP is clean. (look inside with your phones flashlight or take a picture with flash on and zoom in.) then you prolly need a new charging port.
also ribbon cables like to slide out over time so like the video shoed make sure they stay plugged in all the way. even if you have to tape them in place
i personally use tweezers and put them on one side of the plugin and the plastic overlap on the ribbon cable with the other and pinch it together gently

My psp 3000 cannot turn on. When it is charged without battery or start it with battery inside without charging, the green light come up but the screen will be off after short time and the wlan green light does appear right before it happen. @@beybladeztx9560 did you already check the battery connector inside if it is solder properly in the board also check dc voltage output from battery terminal going to psp board by using multitester.
you can troubleshoot the problem by using new battery if is still can't detect your new battery the problem must be on the battery terminal in the motherboard.

@@kanwong208 usually the problem is on the connection of battery terminal and the psp get a neddle and try to pick the battery terminal to make a closer contact on the two metal on each terminal l make this also to the remaining battery terminal .Put your battery on psp then push the battery on the side of psp terminal then power on your psp if it solve your problem put some tape on the side of terminal before closing.I hope this will solve your problem.

maybe power flex is defective and there are other parts that might cause no power like power switch,battery,software issue,board problem it is more economical to bring it to repair shop than to order online all the spare parts to use on troubleshooting the problem.Our diy video is for minor problem for complicated issue i advise to bring it to repair shop thank you for visiting our channel

What exactly were you doing with the power flex tape? Pressing it down? Sorry, it's hard for me to see what you were doing with it.

Maybe something to do with Supercapacitor 3.3V

My psp 3000 cannot turn on. When it is charged without battery or start it with battery inside without charging, the green light come up but the screen will be off after short time and the wlan green light does appear right before it happen. Sometimes there is pop sound when it is turn off. I had try fix the flex power cable but it didn't work. Charge the battery does work with orange light but the screen won't turn on. Any help?

Today afternoon i remember my psp still have 40% battery and at the evening i tried to turn on my psp but it won't, so i went to charge the psp and i can turn on the psp but that's no battery icon and not charging at all even i remove the battery still the psp are still functioning with the charger. @@kuyakikotv6699 so today i just try again. I connected the charger and turn on the psp, it's finally show the battery bar are charging and still remaining some battery power before, but once i disconnected the charger my psp won't turn on.
@@nightmoon1017 you can try new battery but before you pay for the new battery test it first to make sure that the battery is the problem or you can borrow for testing .

Thanks sa video boss pero di yata applicable sa akin. Ang problema ko sa PSP 2000 ko, namamatay habang naglalaro. Bale di na kasi nag chacharge kaya dinadaan ko na lang sa adapter mga ilang linggo na, okay naman pero ang nangyari ganun nga, kusang namamatau habang ginagamit. Board na ba yung problema?

My psp doesn't turn on when i press power button, but when i plug in the charger it does light up a orange led. Often during the day it turns on by itself and suddenly turns off after the sony logo. @@kanwong208 usually the problem is on the connection of battery terminal and the psp get a neddle and try to pick the battery terminal to make a closer contact on the two metal on each terminal l make this also to the remaining battery terminal .Put your battery on psp then push the battery on the side of psp terminal then power on your psp if it solve your problem put some tape on the side of terminal before closing.I hope this will solve your problem.

maybe power flex is defective and there are other parts that might cause no power like power switch,battery,software issue,board problem it is more economical to bring it to repair shop than to order online all the spare parts to use on troubleshooting the problem.Our diy video is for minor problem for complicated issue i advise to bring it to repair shop thank you for visiting our channel
