  • Hi, this repair video shows me attempting to fix a PSP that has no power. This video is long as I had to completely tear it down because I overlooked a mistake I had made. I felt people still might want to see the whole troubleshooting process so I have made an index here in case you would like to jump around to a certain part. Enjoy the video and don't forget to subscribe and like!
    Many thanks, Conrad :-)

    Man you really should try to replace that fuse with some type of fuse. With that fuse gone, next time, instead of the just the fuse blowing, it will fry a more important component, And lots of people are just bridging their fuses now because of this video. Im glad you made this video to show where to fuse is at instuff, but just bridging a fuse for more than just testing purposes is a very bad practice, that may come to bite you in the A$$ later down the line. Try to replace your fuses properly guys, these PSPs wont be around forever, and they will never be re-made. Try and take care of them.

      Philly Gonzales I bridge the fuse with solder around 19:54. The better fix is to replace the fuse rather than just bridging it but it’s what I could do with what I had.

      I can not see you finding a fuse. That looks like just 2 unsoldered pads. If there had been a fuse, it would look like a black capacitor or diode. It would not be 2 clean pads.

    The braid gets stuck because you need more heat in that gun....its not heating up enough and melts the solder slightly and boom the braid is soldered to the solder.

  • @olevet75
    @olevet75 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    amazing but that's exactly what I have too. I had no idea whether it is power charger socket cable, or buttons housing board, or mother board was problem...it turns out it is a same blown fuse like in this video. Btw if you don't have tool to test circuit, I just unbended and used a paper clip to make that bridge...after that boom and light went on. Now just gotta find solder and make this permanent bridge (put a solder dot over fuse) Kudos to my man for making this video guide

      @@jacenthegreat9536 A piece of wire can act as a fuse (about the size of a few hair strands to be precise). But, you wouldn’t be able to determine the current at which it’ll melt.
