If anyone is curious to know Nigel is as friendly and nice in person as he is on camera. Thank you for the kind words about me and for bringing a vibrant energy to the bonsai community
What a nice experience having squirrels climbing on you in nature, I'm very jealous of the native flora you have in Canada that has such dense Autumn (fall) colour. Thanks Nigel, i enjoyed your walk. 🍁🍂
Hi Nigel! It was nice meeting you on the Sunday, I was the guy that got David Easterbrook to sign my personal copy of the same book! Hope to see you around.
Wow, you have such amazing autumnal colours over there. We are happy with a bit of yellowy brown, but your reds and bright oranges are something to behold. Thanks for sharing Nigel.
Crazy I recently found David on TH-cam about 2 weeks ago as I sat patiently waiting for your next drop. Really cool to hear you express your admiration and respect for him it only encourages me to dig into his channel further. Thanks for the effort you put out for your TH-cam community Nigel. Also, what are you bribing these squirrels with? LOL Only a kind soul can get a squirrel to casually approach them! Thank you for being you man!
Dear Nigel your videos always bring so much joy into my day and I love watching them just as much as I love watching my own plants grow! You sir are an inspiration! Keep it up!
Hey Nigel, great to meet you, Connor, Ross and everyone at the TBS, had a great talk with you guys and appreciate you guys sharing your knowledge and always being so pleasant.
That was so awesome Nigel! Thanks so much for taking me to the show. I just adore David Easterbrook, been following his youtube too. I enjoy his work almost as much as I enjoy your videos! Who knew you were such a squirrel whisperer?! That park in Toronto wow, just beautiful and those trees seems like they were in love they way they grew!
Great video! Amazing trees, wonderful walk through the park and adorable squirrels(never seen american squirrels in black, only the eurropean "red" ones). I really needed such an experience these days.
Mentioning the two trees growing together. In my side yard there is a very large hemlock intertwined with an American elm. I love how nature makes the rules and sets the laws. Great show Nigel 👍👍 thoroughly enjoyed!!!
I always learn something from watching Nigel. Today I learned that there is such a thing as a black squirrel. Been living in New England most of my life, and never seen one.
Loved seeing the walk outdoors. What a beautiful area! You have viewers from everywhere - those squirrels were just adorable. They must have heard how kind you are to animals. LOL Looking forward to part 2.
The trees in the forest are stunning and so inspirational! I can't wait to see the next episode, and your trees at the show! Thank you so much Nigel! Lisa
Glendon Neil Hi Nigel, I am a subscriber to your channel.i became an ardent follower of your channel over the past two years.suffice it is to say that your hard work and down-to-earth method of teaching has inspired me to start my own bonsai project . fortunately i am a owner/operator of a large plant nursery so it was easy for me to transition some of my daily cultural practices to this new venture. PS ...Don't underestimate the positive influence you are having in my neck-of-the woods.
Woaaaah! Never seen black squirrels... Over here they are way smaller and are red-ish brown with black points on their ears. Took me back to the time I lived in a forest.. Anywayz.. Thanks for the video, was awsome! Always looking out you visiting this show.
Absolutely fantastic Nigel - i thoroughly enjoyed that video - gutted i missed the premier especially with it being just at the right time for me lol - interesting to see David Easterbrook giving his critique.
Thanks for a great video Nigel. Seeing some of the show is great, and I really enjoyed the fall colours in the woods! What an amazing landscape this time of year!! The fall colours at the Royal Botanical Gardens are awesome right now too. Check it out if you're looking for a fun day trip!
We were just talking about you interacting with animals and how your voice changes. The squirrel interaction was so cool. Great meeting you at the show. Jeff from Bluewater Bonsai.
Lord makes me want a squirrel now. Sir Nigel , I have two different trees growing like in your video. Persian pear next to a apple custard tree mine are super fused on eachother trunks
Hello Nigel! I just know you from your videos, your trees. But, with friendship, and respect, if I saw you on the street I gave you a handshake. 🙂Do you understand?
man i am allways jelly of your maples there, the trees here go from green to yellow and the drop, the don't stay on the trees a lot to have the tree with yellow leafs.
It's Nutkin from Peter Rabbit! - "Nutkin is the squirrel who refuses to bring offerings to Old Brown Owl, who instead teases the pompous bird mercilessly - and gets his tail bitten off."
That black squirrel either gets fed a lot or has rabies. 😂 No worries, it’s the food with this fellow for sure. But wildlife approaching always raises a rabies flag.
At least you were able to talk to David and your followers and have a nice relaxing day with them.
Enjoyed the nature walk too.
If anyone is curious to know Nigel is as friendly and nice in person as he is on camera. Thank you for the kind words about me and for bringing a vibrant energy to the bonsai community

Tailless squirrel wan almost certainly a male. They are really tough on each other during the mating season. Tails are sometimes chewed off!

A very strange squirrel encounter indeed! They must get fed often by the locals lol

Thinking of all the fall colors you showed…. Have you ever tried growing a sugar maple as a bonsai?
Yes, I have a forest to put together this spring, they have awesome fall colours!!

The animals know that you are "the Bob Ross of bonzai" HAhahah ;D
