Imo, there is no reason to do it kneeling. The hamstrings initiate the motion and the glutes finish. Kneeling just means you'll use less weight and not engage the hamstrings.
It depends on the result you want. It's better to start with a weight you can handle and do from 6 to 10 repetitions, after a while do less repetitions, but add more weight. Decide first what you want to get tones or growth.
Would you say the cable pull thrus are a good alternative to hit thrusts? I love hip thrusts but I do not like to do them bc the barbell pinches my hip bones, even when I have a pad on the barbell :(
You can try to adding a yogo mat under the bar and see if that’s more comfortable for you. It will look crazy, but it does prevent any pain from the bar.
That cable glute pull through doesn’t do anything for the glutes as you’re not hinging properly and you’re not increasing the ROM. I used to do those before and stopped. RDL’s are more glute effective and so are hip thrusts, if you struggle with hip thrusts then use a dumbbell x
I was doing the 5th exercise today and one of my gym mate came to me and told it is of no use and has got no affect on glutes so I had to watch this video to confirm btw he was a guy like idk what's true now
