I have to say mad props to Mike for going out as someone who isn't a pro putting up the first videos of a 19' ZR1 on the quarter mile. Lots of people watching and doing it in a manual. Not making excuses, just having fun and getting out there. I respect that.

Its the only show that show's automotive pros actually doing work and showing off the results of their efforts. I drive a Mopar and I watch these guys build some of the baddest Chevy's on the planet.

RPM does ALL the mods but there is definitely NO NEED for a driver mod. Fran can throw em and snatch em with the best
Your Vette is nuts!!! The view from the back against the GTR you can see how bad it spins and you still pull on it.
He didnt exactly pull on it, infact the gtr was starting to go just before fran let off! The gtr also suffers with traction issues with that power!
Id say thats one of hell of a tune on a gtr! Just looking at the numbers ud expect the vette to walk it from a roll

You guys have a class act of a channel that sets the standards for others to play catch up to. Mike sure needs practice leaving the line until then he will be chasing his own tail. I love to watch - can't remember the mechanics name he can be filmed - talk and still keep working without a wasted step. You guys deserve to have more subscribers for sure. My Son runs the circuit with his Mustang - LS - twin turbos - pro mod - 2,800 - 3,200 hp depending on its tune and if using laughing gas. You guys are know for very good work and parts around the country according to him. Keep up the great work.........
Oh I also forgot to mention that Fran should jump in and drive Mike's ZR1 as Mike is lacking in race experience.

For everyone I can’t even stress how fast Fran can shift. He kept right up with one of the fastest transmissions out right now which is in the gtr. Frans def a driver mod

chaseon4wheels What turbos can do, more correctly. There is nothing inherently special about a "V6"
6, 8, 10, hell even 16 cylinders isn’t really the point here. It’s about the size of the motor and how it’s fed air. So even though it’s only a 3.8l (I’m not familiar with this GTR so it could be a 4.0l), all things relative, turbos are always > a supercharger.
Both cars are badass though!
We need Fran to make a Pass in Mikes cars to see there full potential 👍🏻

Mike also hasn't run a manual down a track in a long time. Mike's ZO6 is an automatic making well over 1000 hp. It could get down in the 8s. I can't wait to see that car run.

Drag racing is sort of like photography. You can go and buy a $6500 professional level Nikon or Canon DSLR and own the best camera money can buy, but there's no guarantee your pictures will be better than anyone else. The guy next to you will wind up with better shots with his $600 hobby level Nikon or Canon because he understands how to take a picture. You can go out and spend $150,000 for the baddest Corvette ever and brag about it being the first manual so it's special bla bla bla. But even after two two heavily modded Z06's, you bogg your ZR1 down on launch .............. Well, Fran knows how to drive and Mike's still learning. That ZR1 should have been a automatic.

Motor Sportz You should race one sometime.
ZR1 is built for road courses, not being fast in a straight line. Powerful and quick car for sure, but not a drag car. Kind of asinine to compare it to dedicated drag cars.
Doug Mooney Sure the Fox body can be made to "beat" a Corvette, as long as "beat" doesn't include any of the following:
- prestige
- resale
- handling
- braking
- racetrack performance
- style
- comfort

From a detailing standpoint, i really love that GM didnt put emblems on the side of the front quarter panels. From the enthusiasts standpoint, it kinda bothers me.
In 2005, GM began putting "Mark of Excellence" badges on all of their vehicles. My '07 Z06 had them. I never liked them. Four years later they decided it didn’t help sales and they were discontinued in 2010. The 2010 Camaro and 2010 Equinox had GM logo until the existing supply of logos was used.
of course the idiots at GM would out a Badge of the most powerful production corvette ever made. they make me sick when they always leave something to be desired. Why cant the just do shit 100%, The badge on the front fender is a staple now, but of course GM always does...or doesn't do little do little simple shit to seemingly piss people off.
Tell ol' girl to roll the window up next time. Big time drag there! Might have even beat that gtr, you'd be suprised man! After 120+ the coeffeicient of drag is multiplied.
