The attention to the boost drop off and not calling it a day for that car is the exact reason why I would ship my car to these guys over taking it to anyone local. Always respect the respect RPM has for their customers to not half ass anything.

I'm trying to make the choice right now between going Pro Charger centri unit and twin screw Whipple for the MT 2024 Mustang GT. I am mostly having fun on the street in the car and doing a handful of track days at the road course. I do some roll racing and will dabble in dig racing with a few drag strip days. Centri seems like the safer choice, but would the Whipple be a better choice and easier kit to install and maintain? I've always been NA or stock turbo and never had a supercharger.

Most probably the Whipple would have more HP on low and mid rpm, which may necessitate "pedalling" the accelerator or activating traction control. While the procharger makes more power up high with lower parasitic loss and lower IATs. Big power on low RPMs might be desirable in a truck application, not so much on a street car.

I’m just in the middle of the video, but what about a boost leak? I dealt with my fair share of belt/tensioner issues on my Whipple car, but the pro charger has a ton of extra silicone couplers and intercooler as potential leak points
I cld tell a bunch of crazy stories about customer cars. BTW the customer is very happy with his TT Camero you guys remote tuned for us(Frazz). I hope he takes your advice and get rid of the cats on that car. Procharger over Whipple is probably going to upser some people but I love it🎉

My opinion is if it's a stick car that is down on tq and your willing to deal with more moving parts and potential failure points it has a place. If it's a 10 speed or a daily driver I wouldn't recommend it.. just my opinion from someone who was down on tq and a stick car and greatly considered it but still decided not to because of more failure points and it being my daily.. keep in mind one of the great things about centri blows in the linear power curve which is great for street traction adding that wastegate could potentially give u a aggressive power curve and blow the tires off (obviously this is tunable but if u have to tune most of that boost out to keep traction) WAS IT WORTH IT,? Just my 10c
@@scotts1668? The whole point of gate on a procharger is to control boost and not be locked in to pulley size . So you put smallest pulley for top end power and open wastegate down low to cut power and control traction .
I would think that a Whipple would make more torque under the curve vs the snail procharger. Wouldn't the Whipple feel faster? I did forward to the dyno section. Probably missed something here.

But if burnouts are what "fun on the streets" are, then maybe Whipple is the way to go, i guess. Wanna go fast without having to worry too much about managing traction? Go with centrifugal sc.
You can tell by the type of dyno. This setup is a chassis dyno, which would mean, the HP numbers are RWHP on the Maro. So, to the wheels on this specific setup.
Crazy how the very experienced mechanics who 100% specialize in GM vehicles, specifically LS/LT platforms, know everything inside and out and act like a person who is learning this stuff should automatically know it all like them. If their annoyed about the videos and social media stuff then they should work somewhere that doesnt operate this way. This it what happens when the pro's Like, National Racing in VA says 13K for a Whipple and a tune, and your buddy say's Hey I know someone who can do it for half that? Don't listen and Just keep saving and go to the pro's shite they send you home with a 12 month warranty even.. And if you spent 40K to 60K on your car, and you just hand it over to the local guy, Thats a huge Mistake.. We also have a guy in South Jersey doing Coyote Swaps in Notckbacks and 88 GT's around here, But IDK.. For now I need the MGW shifter put in first.. In about 2 years i will be ready for the super charger.. Not going to be happy till I hear the SC scream...

When I sold cars, I was able to drive both a procharged 5.0 mustang and one with a rousche supercharger, which is similar to Whipple. It was night and day. The procharged mustang had a little more top-end power, but the rousche charged mustang had much better throttle response and more torque at lower rpm. I'd much prefer a Whipple or rousche supercharger over a procharger. The looks of the top-mounted superchargers is the icing on the cake.

The Whipple didn’t fail. I was unable to make the power I wanted , I guess Fran doesn’t like them.
It'll be the coupler inside the case. It's common on the old M90 and M112 Eaton as well.

True in most cases. It would definitely FEEL faster with the Whip, compared to the ProCharger, due to the thicker TQ curve on a Whipple.

The Procharger has a large air to air intercooler. I have a D1-X and my intake air temps are in the 70's at idle.
