You would never know that it was a "beautiful adult toy" and not the real thing! Music was a nice touch. Flies beautifully and great landing.

The just over two thirds scale makes it look so real when it's up in the air. Loved the smoke trails too

The actual creator of Little Nellie did the real flight sequences in You Only Live Twice. He was the only one who could make it do the flight stunts in the movie. This model is beyond cool. Great job!
His name was Commander Ken Wallis. He invented Little Nellie and you're correct, he flew her for the flight scenes.
Sadly he passed away in 2013

I don't know what I'm more impressed with, the awesome flying or the nice gentle landing.
It's not giant RC, but a small RC gyrocopter with a small guy pilot in it! Either or each way GREAT JOB! Great flying, perfect landing! Woow!

Super realistic,Wing Commander Wallis would have loved this,the fleet of gyroplanes he built are all stored at Old Warden,Bedfordshire UK.
A truly excellent model spoilt only by the fact that the model pilot owed more to Sean Connery and less to Commander Ken Wallis. Put a handlebar moustache and beard on him and your sorted! Loved the dead stick auto, nice.

It's just amazing the amount of lift that this thing puts out! When he did the slow flyby, I was really surprised how slow he could go.
Now that would be a fun project, off the beaten path to model. I like it. Interested in it.

Love helis in general.....love this Gyro also. I've seen the smaller baby models of this type flying and they are toys compared to this. The other smaller scale type models (much smaller I might add) don't look any where near realistic in the air, and their handling is pretty ordinary too, James bond wise, or otherwise. This is what I call a Gyro - enough said. I want one, like yours.

Amazing, so great, in Terms of "how hard it is to tell that this is a model" this may be one of the best Scale Models I have ever seen. Looks, sounds, flies like you'd expect the original to do. Perfect! And it's fun!

If one of those rotors ever came off it could quickly make shish-ke-bob out of someone. Some cool additions to this gyrocopter would be to have the pilot turn his head in the direction of travel and some type of arsenal with flashing lights and sound.
What a wonderful project! That's real 'old-school' aeromodelling - rather than just ordering something ready-to-fly from an online supplier, you pick a plane, draw up some plans, buy the materials, work out the mechanics, build it to a very high standard, then fly it brilliantly. Fantastic!
Of course, there's nothing wrong with buying something ready-made (not everybody has the time, patience or skill to scratch-build), but the sense of achievement when something like succeeds must be tremendous. Bravo!

@@user-hp1mt9du6t Unfortunately Ken Wallis died in 2013 😢 Ken did all the flying scenes in the James Bond film ''You Only Live Twice''.... It's a great film but the camera on Sean Connery's white helmet never convinced me it would work 🥸

When they made that scene the flying was done in Spain by Wallis, and Connery was sitting in a duplicate Gyro firmly affixed to the ground in a studio, being paid probably 10 x as much.

Looks like he had an electric pre-rotater on it?
Free spinning in flight, powered to pre-spin for shorter takeoffs.
The spin up is call prerotation and it’s done in full scale as well using pullies.
In this model it had a small separate motor.
