I have the 435 and never had a big problem with it. The only thing that I had to do to it. Was change the diaphragm for the carb.

I also have this saw. The dealer ran it and adjusted the carburettor for free before I left the store. I get the impression that most people who have a negative view of the saw never had this done.
My saw runs great. I mostly cut up old man pine trees, and often make it do work heavier than it was ever designed for.

I agree 100%. I have been running my 435 for 5 years. Cut down well over 100 red & white oak, maple & red pine in northern Michigan. Even some big ground thumpers as they fall. It too is my most used saw & always goes out with me. Completely flawless. I have a 440 and it’s hit or miss. Wish I had a second 435. I have a Husky 455 Rancher that is my second go-to, ported 61 beast made into a 272 for the biggest oaks, and a STIHL 460 but still my first “real saw” being the 435 has my heart. I’d marry her if she’s have me. 😂

I have the same saw. It matters a lot who you buy it from. A good dealer will test it before sending it out the door. Mine needed a carb adjustment straight out of the box, it wouldn’t idle. Then it just gets better and better for every tank. Taking apart trees the wind has taken down is a joy with this saw, light and nimble. I am a homeowner, not a lumberjack, but my family were all working in the woods at one point or another, and this is the saw they all started using once their pro felling days were over. That’s all the approval I need.

I have a 445. I am completely happy with this. I have a original Husqvarna x-cut chain and bar on it and it cuts thru wood like a warm knife thru butter. Husqvarna also has the nicer "sound" compared to Stihl 🙂

  • @thadstuart8544

I can relate. I have a small Echo CS400 that i normally grab over my Stihl MS250 or Husqvarna 562XP. The small Echo will do 90% of the type of cutting i encounter on my 5 acres of mixed hardwoods in Georgia, and i never get tired using it. The Husqvarna is a beast but after 45 minutes i feel like i went to the gym. A much heavier and more powerful saw isnt always the best when it involves physical work

I have had my 435 for around 6 or 7 years. Has always worked awesome. I keep parts replaced on it when they war out. I too would recommend this. I am gonna order a spare one off of ebay as they have updated this model and I want the older one. My gas and oil knobs are twist off and do not have the flip feature. Good Post.

I have the Husqvarna 435 and it is the best chainsaw I have used. I had an echo chainsaw for years and it was good, but the chain would loosen and come off when I didn't want to. I was always tightening the bar to keep it on the bar. The chain has never come off my 435 while I was using it, nor has it even loosened. It is a workhorse. I did have one issue on my 435 after only six months of use where the spark plug fouled, and the carburetor needed to be cleaned. I don't know why that happened because I use premixed Hasqevara fuel. Besides that, one problem, the 435 has been outstanding.

I have a Stihl 211 (12' bar) and an Oleo-Mac GS650 (24' bar). Both good saws, but you know about it after an hour or two when you are using the Oleo-Mac due to the weight. I don't think there are any bad main brand saws out there and it is all about how they are used and abused. I got some great tips from a retired tree surgeon about looking after chain saws. As I do not use mine as frequently as he did, he told me at the end of each cutting session (before I put the saw away for an extended period) to clean the saw down, lubricate where required, clean the chain and associated areas with petrol (soak if required), blow out the filters and then start the saw and let it run dry (in terms of 2 stroke). I have done this as much as I can and have not had an issue with my saws. They get serviced as and when required and like your Husky the carb can get a bit troublesome, but nothing that cannot be easily resolved. That said, you cannot beat an axe and a bow saw - different type of 2 stroke!

Great comment buddy, weight is the issue with the 365 . cleaning and inspection is important,, but I've never done the runit dry trick

Just bought one , so happy to see this review. I had a 550xp but was too powerful for me to be honest. I’m only cutting firewood occasionally so this seems a more sensible option , I’ve got a 15inch bar but I’m thinking of swapping to a 16 for better performance 👍🏻

But do you like this one? lol ;D I moved to Southern Washington state a couple years ago, and after paying an arborist to come out twice already and no end in sight (trees grow like weeds!) I thought to hell with it, I can do 85% of what I need done if I got a saw. I was looking first at the 455 Rancher, than the 450 Rancher, but came across your video and a couple others swearing by this 435, saying the 16" bar was enough, and if that's the case it seems a way better fit for my needs (and physically!) so I'm eager to give the 435 a try. Thanks for the heart-felt review, very helpful. Cheers and be safe!

I bought mine on your recommendation, it’s been ok but I think it needs service. Now my first chainsaw is a Stiga 340 which is about 16 years old, perfect apart from leaking fuel but the fuel tank is integral with the body.. no spares for it but I can rely on it for starting straight away, unlike the 435, a bit temperamental at the best of times

I've had the 435 for 3yrs. It's the worst tool I've ever owned. For every hour I've managed to use it I've spent 2 repairing it or yelling at it. I have lots of Husqvarna products that work great daily. I even ride a Husqvarna motorcycle daily. However, my Husqvarna 435 is total crap. Maybe I got a bad one :(
