  • I bought a 40CC, 13 inch bar chainsaw made by Husqvarna. Husqvarna has some of the most recommended chainsaws that professional tree cutters use, this saw is more for home owners cutting firewood, but it's a high quality saw. In this video I unbox the new chainsaw, make a cold start and give it a test run. This Husqvarna 435 X-torq 2020 model is fitted with a powerful X-torq 40cc chainsaw engine which reduces fuel consumption by up to 20% and produces up to 75% less emissions. Overall, the saw is great! If you want a quality unit that meets a broad set of needs, without costing a fortune...I believe this is it. And I'm not saying this only because I'm swedish 😄

Looks like a good design. I like that the primer is protected so well.

I have a 435 too, you won’t find better quality than Husqvarna for chainsaws.

Thank you for the video, I just purchased the same saw and you made it much easier than reading the Ikea directions! LOL thanks.

Chain’s a little to tight. I was considering this as a backup to my stihl, but maybe might get the ms 250. How’s it holding up?

You need it to get warmed up for a minute or so, nothing wrong with your saw. Cheers!

Many thanks for doing this Gurra, apologies if this sounds ungrateful, but hardly a review, more like an overview. I am going to see one tomorrow, so was looking around for an in-depth review, as i have only purchased high end Stihl and Husqvarna chainsaws in the past, so be robust and reliable. the 2 Stihl saws I was not happy with, but the two Husquarnas have been great.
I can't justify spending so much for a professional saw now at 76 years old, but do need a back up smaller saw, to use along side of my Husqvarna 365. I see you have been now using it for 3 or 4 months, and you are still happy with it. So wonder, have you given it some really hard work to do, and how much use have you given it, please? I much appreciate any further comment you might like to make please, such as build quality? Many thanks for your time. vänliga hälsningar, Melvyn

Hello Melvyn, it works fine, very easy to start my only issue it takes some time for it to warm up, my old Stihl got up to working temp faster, but maybe it's just tuning. And it's the only thing I have noticed. Adjusting the chain is fast and easy. It's light and doesn't vibrate much, cuts great too! I cut over 20 cubic metre of timber wood every spring, I heat my house with firewood only. So yes I'm very happy with it.

@@GurrasGarage Hi Gurra,, So many thanks for your response and updated experience with the saw. Like you wood is the only sources of heating for us too.
This give me more confidence in purchasing the saw, so I much appreciate your time and trouble. A very good day to you, in these trying times. Regards Melvyn

I like this saw. It makes me miss cutting firewood with my Stihl 026. After seeing you cut that big chunk , it looks like the chain could be sharpened a little more, or take a axe and remove the dirty bark.
I think I need a new carb for my Stihl though. I rarely use it anymore.

I love it! I should have waited for it to warm up, first cut with new saw so no need to sharpen the chain.

Try cutting a wedge it will keep it from binding.

I have an older 435 with no chain/ bar oil adjustment. Do the newer 435's have an adjustment?

Thanks for this. I don't know what your level of skill/knowledge is with chainsaws, but you might be interested to see the Husquvarna videos on how to operate a chainsaw. Their suggested technique differs quite a bit from yours - let's put it that way!

What is he doing wrong. You hold the saw and cut the log. By the way I just bought this saw today because I had a problem with my Husqvarna 440 and I had to order a part. I only used the saw for an hour but I really like it. It idles and runs great and cuts like a champ. Husqvarna chainsaws are very good.
