I recently met one of my subscribers, and she is one crazy f***. She bought her very first motorcycle, and it’s none other than a ZX6R (636)! Not gna lie her bike is sick, and she is doing pretty well on it.

I really enjoy the the navy blue and lime accent color scheme of the '22-'23. I'm still in love with my '21 teal, though. the '21 white and '20 orange looked incredible as well.

Glad you mentioned tires in the cold. I ride a 1995 CBR900RR on Bridgestone Battlax Hypersport S22 rear and S21 front. GREAT tires. Super sticky when they are warm, but they don't like pavement temps below about 60F. A long light will cool your tires enough that getting greedy will see you slime the back tire through the intersection. Bridgestone says they have superior wet traction. MY ASS bro. You see rain on your visor, pull over. Set your rider mode to rain, dial up the traction control and ABS if you have them. I don't, and my bike will swallow your soul in the rain.
yeahh i noticed when i was practicing wheelies just a tiny break in the action and my rear tire just slips haha not even 5 minutes of being stopped. appreciate the tip man! 🤙

i bought an 04 zx10r for my first bike got my license 2 days ago was nervous but as long as you have self control its not biggie
two days under my belt now, road with my buddy the first day but riding by myself the 2nd day helped me to just calm myself and go at my own pace

Starting with the Ninja 400 at 17 and now being 19, I'm considering upgrading to a ZX6R in the near future, but I'm unsure about the ZX10R due to that I won’t be able to use its full potential on the streets or even track.

Good luck get full riding gear. I learned on dirtbikes rode 8 yrs in dirt before hitting street. The enduro then 400 four then original 600 ninja. Had that been first bike and street I would be dead. Again good luck

My 750 doesn't need throttle to move under load. It rolls out in 1st with no effort. Just ride at your own pace. You will sink into the groove soon enough.

Get those wheelie training wheels so you dont have to be scared about flipping. Then youll start to learn by muscle memory how much throttle you need to get the perfect wheelie done.

I know you guys are new riders, but I am too and I started on a 636 as well. But get an exhaust and a tune. It feels and sounds so much better once you get them.

@@MedusaMoto If you get an exhaust to get with your tune, then they can tune whatever specific exhaust you get with your tune.
My bike was tighter, the clutch was different. It constantly pops now and sounds like gun shots lol. But you feel the extra power and people can hear you
@@MedusaMoto Gotcha. But yeah, get an exhaust and tune, it feels like a different bike. Way more raw and powerful.
Plus taking off the stock exhaust saves like 12 pounds

@@Dankwubwub for sure! any sort of advanced practice/course in my opinion only enhances your skills and knowledge. but i think that’s a question better answered by someone who had taken it
Stick with the 400 for your first bike, you can always get a bigger bike but you can't get a new life if you panic and do something stupid on a 600, also that 400 will be alot more forgiving when you make mistakes, and i mean alot. I started out on a ninja 300 and i had prior experience on dirtbikes so i already knew somewhat how to handle myself. Dont listen to all these people saying get a bigger bike, 99.99% of the time youll never use a 600 to its max and you will never use a liter bike to its max on the road unless youre in the middle of the desert with miles of straight open road
I started on a ninja 650 and within 3 to 4 weeks I was already bored of it , I personally wish I would of just started on a 600
Cool video my girl and I enjoyed it… I ride I’ve been riding 10 years and my first bike was a 954 Fireblade and I have had 4 other 1000s including the one I have now so I know what it’s like getting on a big bike out the gate… needless to say my girl is ready to hop off the back of mine’s and do her own thing and I suspect she’ll be going 600 cc R displacement… but she has the safety net of an experienced rider not recommended for just anyone but again I did it so depends on the situation and person… should at minimum have a working knowledge of how a manual transmission works and not easily frazzled RIDE SAFE
good stuff man! she’s gonna love the 600s. tell her to be safe and have fun out there! i have plenty of beginner videos (and i also post ALL of my mistakes). but yes, the safety net is crucial and deff all depends on the person. keep me updated on the progression! also love the 954 fireblade 🤙🤙

Buy a 400 you will learn so much faster and better

Hey bro do you think if do my msf course and get my motorcycle license I could start on a 600? Never rode a bike before and don't even know how to balance. I also plan on using full gear. Can I? It will take practice but I plan on going slow and practicing in a parking lot for the first 3 weeks or so
that’s a personal preference honestly. i will tell you that it’s possible and i did it. but it’s not for everyone. i do think im a quick learner and was able to practice almost everyday. so it depends on the circumstance, and most of all yourself. if you’re a safe driver and have had road experience where you know what to expect when driving in a car, i think those are the most important things behind discipline. you need a ton of discipline to just not twist the throttle when you feel like it. the power is there but you need to ease into it. best of luck and lmk what you decide! 🤙
@@MedusaMoto ok so I have decided. You’re right it takes self control which I don't have. So I did some research and apparently it's safer to pull the throttle like that on a 400 rather than a 600. Because the 400s are more forgiving and also they have better flick ability. And tbh the 400s don't sound that bad. It's just in idle that it sounds weird but when you start revving and doing pulls in high rpm's the real sound starts to come in. Plus the colors, looks, and ergonomics are good as well. I Plan on getting the ninja 400 and maybe when I get used to it a little giving it some sort of cosmetic and exhaust changes and also might stretch it so that I have a better time with it. Then I will just sell it to then get a 600 after some months of experience. Not 100% yet about the ninja 400 because other 400s look good as well. Even the 250s 300s and 650s are good but it's the one I have my mind on. Love Kawasaki. But yeah thanks. Without your advice I wouldn't have been able to choose

No, buy a ninja 400. If you dont even know how to use a clutch then youre gonna end up hurting yourself on a 600. The 400 is a much more forgiving bike

Thats crazy how a salesman to make commission sells a bike like this to a absolute new rider.. Yeaaah u could learn n survive it.l but even Rossi n Marquez started in smaller CC bikes.. Margin for error is very small on 600cc plus bikes..
agree but at the end of the day. they’re only there to sell. so it’s up to you to make sure you’re choosing correctly

@@R2690-f3y i mean, that’s different due to legal restrictions. if there were no legal restrictions, then what you said is right. they’re there just to sell guns. there really is nothing stopping a salesperson from selling a motorcycle legally to a beginner. you go in, you pick one up. not sure what you expect them to do. quick road test to make sure you can handle it? there are ppl out there that dont belong on a 600 that has been riding for years bc of recklessness and no regard for how they ride. so you’re not gna sell to a beginner who will most likely go slow, but sell to a 10 year veteran rider with 20 accidents?
you’re also comparing a vehicle to a literal weapon. not sure if that’s apples to apples tbh

It’s not rip it just depends on the rider. I started on a 636 and I’m just fine. I would say not everyone can start on a 600 or up but she’s good. She know the fundamentals. She know to take it slow. Learn the bike. Ease into the power , etc
