About Married with Children:
The less-than-lovable Bundys are a radical departure from the saccharine-sweet TV families popular since the days of Father Knows Best. With offbeat humor and unflinching honesty, Married... paints a more realistic picture of middle-class existence, warts and all. Al Bundy (Ed O'Neill) is a shoe salesman who is fond of frequently reliving his doubtful 15 seconds of fame on the football field. Al is terrified of the all-too-frequent amorous advances of his ditsy wife Peggy (Katey Sagal), who spends most of Al's wages at the salon and the mall. They have two teenage kids: stunning but superficial party animal Kelly (Christina Applegate) and egocentric Bud (David Faustino). Married for 16 semi-blissful years, Peggy and Al have found that the secret to a happy marriage is to accept one another's idiosyncrasies.

Perfectly put, pally! That’s why you got a GREAT, BIG, HUMONGOUS “thumbs up” from me!!!

Damn! the women they had on Married with Children over the decades. 🔥😍😘👍
Married with children, the simpsons, in living color.
Oh how we were blessed
AMEN...yes we were...
I had no choice at 12/13yrs old and hated going to church at 7pm on Sunday nights...
Didn't want to miss Sunday nights watching FOX... Middle school chatter was all FOX...
Todays kids just don't know how simple it was in those days...
Today everyone's all up in arms, imagine a character like Al Bundy in today's pc garbage TV.
Yes indeed we were blessed...
Names two of the most successful shows in tv history. Good argument…
Yup and fire Marshall bill
Yes sir
And they were all on the Fox network, which back then was not afraid of taking chances.
That look on Al's face when the neighbor says she dances on tables for men is priceless!
Near airports.
The one where she shakes his hand, calls him a "big strong guy" and he turns around as well!

I’d rather watch Al Bundy than white, red and blue Rooskys blowing up yellow and blue Rooskys

He’s married to Gloria in “Modern Family”
Married with Children is the epitome of a show that could never be made in this day and age.
It would be canceled on the first episode for being misogynistic and would be gone after Al's first fat joke. So sad how the world has become in just 30 years
I have two favourites.. married with children ( american) and love thy neighbour ( English/ british) both as funny as hell, but not in a million years would they put them on tv today..but we still have TH-cam..😀
Yeah because there days it's Al & Dan
Or Peg & Jen
This show could barely be made back then lol. That was the point. It was on a brand new network, so everything was super edgy to bring in the views. It worked!

Women were much more gorgeous back then, before the tattoos, nose piercings, and blue hair.

Never knew this show very much because it Never aired here ,but though bits ,i love it ,and this scene is one of the best 😂
Peggy enters and sits next to Al. No dialogue for 25 seconds, and yet the audience is laughing their asses off the whole time. That's a sign of superbly developed characters and great chemistry. We all know exactly what's going on in Al's and Peggy's brains, long before Al finally caves in with his cry of frustration, "WHAT???" Peggy wins the battle with her sheer sassiness.
Their chemistry was insane. They seemed like an actual married couple who loved each other but hated each other's presence.

That's what happens when you peak in High School
@@michaelrawson6261 - I saw a reasonable feminist in the wild once... on a train to be exact... I knew it was a feminist because it was reading a book titled "Why men don't matter"... She was only a chapter or two into her book and already the "empowerment" was coursing through her like her 5:30pm TGIF Cosmopolitan on a Wednesday.
Ed O'Neill has had the talent ... and the good fortune ... of playing not one, but TWO iconic sitcom characters. First he played Al on "Married with Children," and then he played Jay on "Modern Family." That's something to be proud of!
