Shyamalan said that David realized that Mr. Glass was telling the truth- there are people who have "superpowers". And one of them is extremely dangerous, and David has to stop him.
Mr. Glass is a super-villain the same way Lex Luthor is a super-villain. Physically, he's rather weak. But he's got a genius-level IQ and knows how to make and hide bombs to kill hundreds.

That ending scene is awesome. The music is incredible, and you can sense the fear in those people in the diner as they hear that this demonic monster is now somewhere amongst their community. And yet, they don't realize that the hero who will save them is sitting their with them...
Yeah as others have said, that's the main theme from the movie Unbreakable. When I first saw Split on streaming, it was completely unspoiled to me. I didn't even know it was a Shyamalan movie because I kinda lost touch with his work lately. So then the theme starts playing and I realized OMFG this takes place in the Unbreakable universe (!!!!). One of my favorite movies of all time. Was totally blown away.
I really didn't see this coming I actually gasped when I first saw this scene and really we should have seen it coming because M.NS is well known for shocking twists
Rorschach Mr. Glass has a real-life condition that makes his bones fragile, like glass, hence the name. He is also the main antagonist of Unbreakable, and he is portrayed by Samuel L. Jackson.
As a fan of unbreakable and movie scores in general, sitting in that movie theater was truly mesmerizing. When the theme started playing at the end, I felt nostalgia because I knew I had heard that song before but couldn't remember exactly from where. It was bothering me but I couldn't take my eyes off the screen because I knew a twist was coming. when the lady says "the crazy guy in the wheelchair .... and they gave him a funny name too. What was it?" I blurted to myself "Mr. Glass!?" It came to me, so naturally. As if I had for a second made a connection between the two movies. But how could that be right ?? It had been Soo long since unbreakable came out. non the less I kept my ears to the music as I always do. When I saw Bruce Willis' face, before he even got a chance to speak. I knew right there ... "Mr glass" Time stood still! I will always cherish that moment. Thank you. M. NIGHT
Yep I got the chills, have looked the movie like 2/3 times before split, always enjoyable, I saw it as a parody of WTF is going on with MCU and DCU non sense. People... Seriously, if people had spend that amount of time trying out to make their life and others better, instead of arguing if Spiderman is dead or not... Movies can be nice and instructive, but also dangerous. A good a movie is a one you see one time, that you enjoy, and make you think or outlook your life differently.
And somes are particular. In a bad mood I put my "Conspiracy Theory" DVD and I get a nice laugh every times with Mel Gibson, and get the trust on woman's again wathing Julia Roberts behavior. There is always an issue, even when CIA-men project MKULTRA lock your mind up.
Almost exactly my experience, I just couldn’t recall Mr. Glass’ name. Here in Mexico you don’t clap, yell at the screen or do such things, is just wrong, but I tried (unsuccessfully) to hold several “NO WAAAY!!” with my hands well into the credits rolling. Unforgettable moment!
I went back and watched Unbreakable and noticed something very interesting about what Elijah's (Mr. Glass) mother said to David Dunn during a conversation they were having while they were looking at one of Elijah's' paintings at one of his comic art shows. Here's what she says to David: "That's what I said to my son. He said, there's always two kinds. The soldier villain (The Horde) who fights the hero (David Dunn) with his hands, and then there's the real threat. The brilliant and evil arch enemy who fights the hero with his mind (Mr. Glass)." Crazy how much M. Night Shyamalan set these two movies up with such subtle hints.
Apparently The Horde was going to show up in Unbreakable I think he was going to be the villain who David saves the family from at the end but Shyamalan found setting up the character too complicated to fit in with the rest of the film so he saved him for Split.
Devyn Corvington Elijah even describes the beast in unbreakable when he's talking about the comic book with "jaguaro". Long mane, long nails, tall and sharp teeth. The same description Dennis gives Dr. Fletcher in Split
I have to thank this reveal of David at the end for introducing me to my future wife. Watched it in an almost packed theater and when the reveal came both her and I stood up and said omg yes finally! Was kind of awkward because we both literally stood up and shouted it but it did bring our attention to each other. After that me and my friends started to talk to her and her friend about it and one thing led to another.
So.... you almost gave up hope. There were so many times you stood up and shouted in theaters, so many films, so many seats, so many angry theatergoers. Just to find her. Now that you know what you are, she knows what she is. She's not a mistake. It all makes sense. You know how you can tell your future wife? She's the exact opposite of every other theatergoer. You should have known way back when. You know why? Because of the priest... He called you - man and wife.
Just finished rewatching unbreakable. The look on Dunn’s face, compared to how he’s been throughout the whole of unbreakable... he looks actively excited. After all this time, he is no longer depressed. He’s found his sense of purpose. Being a hero.
Kyle Patrick that part was good but I hated the way the killed off David Dunn. I found it dumb that he fought off the beast underwater but got drowned by a random guy in a puddle. But that’s just my opinion

Same here. The only superhero movies from DC or Marvel I even liked as much as Unbreakable were Batman (1989), Batman Returns, The Dark Knight, Superman the Movie, Blade, Spider-Man (2002) and the first Iron Man. I much prefer completely original superhero stuff to adaptations of genre favorites chockful of explosives and elaborate costuming. Movies like Unbreakable and RoboCop just have so much more heart and substance by comparison. They do so much more with much less than today's superhero movies.
This clip still gives me goosebumps, I never saw that coming after watching Split. No matter how Glass is, this is the best way to pay tribute to Unbreakable. Genius!
The one thing I love about this scene besides the David Dunn reveal is when he looks right at the camera. That look is bascially saying "Time to go to work". Absolutely one of the best Shyamalan twists. Sad to see that the conclusion (Glass) didn't live up to the hype though. Unbreakble is still his best movie in my opinion. (Edited)

The most exciting scene I’ve ever experienced in a movie theater. I legit had a panic attack when the James Newton Howard score from Unbreakable kicked in.
You know, the clues were there all along. The way the poster for split worked out: the shattered glass look, the cracks in the title, even the close up shot of the lead actor's face.
The Green Cape Crusader vs The Horde. This is probably going to be the toughest fight Bruce Willis has ever been in. But. . . as we all know, he will never give up.
I love how Patricia and Dennis are speaking calmly about how they have to trust The Beast and Hedwig is just freaking out how cool The Beast is. Giant props to James McAvoy for being able to switch between these characters so fluently.
I almost stood up cheering in the movie theater when I saw Bruce Willis, I was older than most people there and was the only one that got it. Driving home with my date I finally understood how the titles were linked, Unbreakable-Split. I was a huge fan of Unbreakable in 2000, and going into Split, I thought I was just passing a Saturday night with an easy horror/thriller, what surprise!
I already freaked out when the music started (which was a few second before this clip started)...I was already crying and my friend was like "WTF man?"
Can we just appreciate the acting skills of James McAvoy?! This fella gave the best performance of his life. Can't wait to see all 24 identities again in Glass!
Were you a theater where people were screaming "Oh My GOD!!!" over and over and over again? That's how intense it was. My friend could only babble "Holy shit!!!" over and over like a broken record. It was awesome!!!!!
I was the only one in the theater freaking out. I could tell no one else in there understood the connection. Their response was likely nothing more than "oh hey Bruce Willis, haven't seen him in awhile"
Yea....like I was losing my shit....grinning ear to ear...and then the rest were like...just....nothing. I am like come on...people...the theatre is full...you can't be serious that no other person that bought the ticket hasn't seen the previous movie?
kaister901 Noone knew it was a sequel. From what I've seen of the hype towards Split was that it looked like a standalone film. Great way to comeback though!
Split is NOT a movie that would have worked with a less talented actor in the role as Kevin. James is honestly one of the best actors of our generation.
Christian Sans Areva Split is not a direct sequel to Unbreakable, yes the movies are connected, but Mr. Glass is the sequel which is coming out 2019 which means 19 years from Unbreakable...
I used to listen to the Unbreakable theme a lot back in the day when I was a huge M. Night fan, so I got the biggest smile when I heard the first few notes. Great way to make people flip their, Mr. Shyamalan. Finally, you're back.
M. Night: You know what the scariest thing is? To not know your place in this world, to not know why you're here. That's... that's just an awful feeling. Split: What have you done? M. Night: I almost gave up hope. There were so many times I questioned myself. Split: You killed all those franchises. M. Night: But I found you, so many awful films... just to find you. Split: Jesus Christ... M. Night: Now that we know what you are, I know who I am. I'm not a mistake. It all makes sense. In a directer's career, you know how you can tell what the comeback is going to be? It's the exact opposite of his best film... I should have known way back when, you know why? Because of the critics... ...they called me Mr. Twist. [[original comment by crazgus]]
This has got to be one of the best twist endings I have ever seen! I remember my jaw dropping and getting on my feet because it came out of absolutely nowhere!
The moment i heard that music, i couldn't place it, but the moment i remembered i started screaming with joy and then bruce willis showed up and it confirmed my immediate suspicion. Made me super happy.
Same here, I started with: "That music sounds familiar." Then I when I recognized it I started saying, "Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god." Finally, when you see David Dunn I almost screamed, "YES!"
Same for me. I kept thinking this feels like something I know, something I really liked but couldn't place it. Then as soon as the outline of Davids face came into view, even before he said anything,it all clicked and I jumped up off the couch.
Wanna know what makes The Sixth Sense, Unbreakable, and Split the the best shymalan movies. 1. Good Twists 2. Interesting Characters 3. BRUCE FUCKIN WILLIS!!!!
They are a great combo that's for sure. Although I think Samuel Jackson turned in one of his best performances in Unbreakable as well under Night's direction. Mel Gibson was also amazing in Signs portraying a lot of depth in such a simple understated character. I'd also add that I think this was McCavoy's best performance. When Shyamalan is on point you can expect amazing performances.
You mean who can say yes. And not market everything the same way. Here he has control on his project . Like will smith literally took over on after earth and that turned out so well.. all his stories started being marketed as horror even though he kept saying spiritual..
Glass has the potential to be a masterpiece, all the ingredients are there... I loved Unbreakable and always felt it was vastly underrated. Split was great also and now Glass. i hope the team can pull it off!
Actually, the source close to the case is Casey...she's the only one who heard him refer to himself as The Horde. Well, the only one left alive anyway.
You know, i was so focus on the scene, i didn't even notice the unbreakable music. I definetly got a goosebump hearing "mr. glass". Man cant wait for the sequel for this 😁
Jiren Yes ! If he continues the Universe, I would like him to cast Adrien Brody, Dylan Minnette and Katherine Langford as the next heroes. But they need to have their own movies first.
The Unbreakable music starting and then seeing Bruce Willis omg omg I screamed. M Knight's villains are sad though. I feel bad for them. IDK how he managed to make a realistic "super hero" type sequel where your heart breaks for the "bad guy". I cried for Mr. Glass. Truly great performances. Mr Dunn proves being a good guy is not easy. I love how he's laying low, still working the same job, and he has discovered another one. Mr. Glass was right. There are others like them out there. Truly hope a third one will come out.
This scene made the whole movie 1000x better. Everything that happened before makes complete sense. The whole movie fits perfectly now that we know it's an Unbreakable sequel. It was pretty good as it was, but this scene made this series one of the best in the genre's history. If Glass turns out to be nearly as good as Unbreakable, this will be my favourite movie trilogy of all time.
The most satisfying feeling I’ve had after watching a movie in the theater. I went from feeling mixed on what I saw to being mind blown cause of how much sense it made after this reveal.
This movie's ending had me so hyped! I was like, "Dang, I can't wait for Bruce Willis' character to drown in an inch deep puddle of water in the next one!"
As a very unbreakable fan, I was at the movies, and I pulled the connection with the two films soon after the song (which I also really like) started playing when Kevin's personalities chatted in front of the mirror !!
Completely original such a beautiful thing to see actual creativity, instead of the remake bs Hollywood has been producing. A good question to ask is how the hell did knight make superhero hero films better than the people who make superhero films lol I love it

When Marv first hears the name of the man who killed Goldie, Kevin, he says “I’ll see you soon Kevin” and then rips of the cell door.
You mean the horde
I remember screaming when I recognized the movie music theme and Bruce Willis. One of the BIGGEST twist
0:17 to 0:26
My reactions when I saw David Dunn!!!!!!!!!
😂
Kishan Bhatt I LAUGHED TOO HARD AT THIS IN THR MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT. 🤣
Love david dunns concerned look....he knows there is a monster out there he has to stop
And THAT is the coolest thing ever!!!
David Dunn is forever my favorite superhero bring him back pls 🙏🙏 like logan
Every hero that's stretches back all the way back to the first comic.
They can take a seat, David Dunn is back.
This scene sold the entire movie for me, it, is, AWESOME
Can we just appreciate the acting skills of James McAvoy?! This fella gave the best performance of his life. Can't wait to see all 24 identities again in Glass!
David was probably thinking, "Dammit! Batman gets the Joker, while I've got several Jokers in one body..."
😂👍
underrated..
Why did David Dunn die he is a superhero
At 2:06 dunns face hes like "these damn super villans"
Goes to his home into his closet puts on tha poncho
LOL yeah 2:09 he's like: "Oh boy, time to break out my poncho again."
TheBraunMachine2011 Or maybe he's thinking that this coffee taste like shit😏
I flipped shit when i saw this on theaters.
Split was a wonderfully creepy film. I can't wait for the sequel. M. Night making a comeback warms my heart.
Split is NOT a movie that would have worked with a less talented actor in the role as Kevin.
James is honestly one of the best actors of our generation.
As soon as the music started, Unbreakable fans lost their minds.
unbreakable one of the best movies ever
This is *SPLIT*
Than we got Glass
No split is better
Only took them 19 years to make a sequel to unbreakable
Penguin Smacker you just described every marvel movie and I want today thank you for letting me know I wasn't the only one to notice that.
Um, Unbreakable came out in 2005.
Reclaimer Your math is pretty daft. Unbreakable (2000) - Split (2016), how can you get 19 years from that??
Christian Sans Areva Split is not a direct sequel to Unbreakable, yes the movies are connected, but Mr. Glass is the sequel which is coming out 2019 which means 19 years from Unbreakable...
@@MalrickEQ2 Release date: November 14, 2000 (USA)
Kevin Wendell Crumb you have made a MESS
Just A Soul Jaja Spot on.
It's weird because my last name is crumb
Honestly, I have more anticipation for Glass than I did for Avengers: Infinity War
Gage Gross How is this even a superhero movie
Yozi Productions Watch Unbreakable, then watch the trailer for Glass
I’m disappointed in you.
@@nicholasgambacorta3840 and I'm disappointed in you
How dare you
I used to listen to the Unbreakable theme a lot back in the day when I was a huge M. Night fan, so I got the biggest smile when I heard the first few notes. Great way to make people flip their, Mr. Shyamalan. Finally, you're back.
When the music from Unbreakable starts building I got chills. I get chills every time
Twist.

Not enough likes bro
Roland Latore Speed *You posted that on the Unbreakable ending video too. I just saw it there.*
This. This is way too epic not to be shared more. Did you tweet this to Shyamalan? If you not you have to
“They called me Mr Twist” LOL HAHA 👏🏻
Replace "M. Night" with Unbreakable.
David Dunn gettin ready to clock in!
This is one of my favorite soundtracks, to one of my favorite movies. When those first few notes hit I almost lost it.
This has got to be one of the best twist endings I have ever seen! I remember my jaw dropping and getting on my feet because it came out of absolutely nowhere!
M nights back .......
CaptiveCactus67 rejoice
CaptiveCactus67 Amen to that
LOOK AT WHAT HE CAN DO
CaptiveCactus67 he's back and better then ever
NOPE this movie was still mediocre looking past the hype
The moment i heard that music, i couldn't place it, but the moment i remembered i started screaming with joy and then bruce willis showed up and it confirmed my immediate suspicion. Made me super happy.
xj3ewok I watched Split a day after I watched Unbreakable. I damn near shouted when James Newton Howard's theme kicked in.
Same here, I started with: "That music sounds familiar." Then I when I recognized it I started saying, "Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god." Finally, when you see David Dunn I almost screamed, "YES!"
Forget DC COMICS, m. Night is back
Same for me.
1. Good Twists
2. Interesting Characters
3. BRUCE FUCKIN WILLIS!!!!
Signs was also great
They are a great combo that's for sure. Although I think Samuel Jackson turned in one of his best performances in Unbreakable as well under Night's direction. Mel Gibson was also amazing in Signs portraying a lot of depth in such a simple understated character. I'd also add that I think this was McCavoy's best performance. When Shyamalan is on point you can expect amazing performances.
gsimon123 I kinda Split my choose between Split and sings.
Soul Jr The Village was pretty good, too.
Whitney houston
This shows that Shymalan is best when he’s working with a limited budget and a strong producer who can tell him no.
You mean who can say yes. And not market everything the same way. Here he has control on his project . Like will smith literally took over on after earth and that turned out so well.. all his stories started being marketed as horror even though he kept saying spiritual..
Limited budgets can indeed be the most surprising benefits for the genuinely best in filmmaking.
Umbreakable...favorite movie ever.....imagine that moment...when the music start...
I lost in the damn theater.
Glass has the potential to be a masterpiece, all the ingredients are there... I loved Unbreakable and always felt it was vastly underrated. Split was great also and now Glass. i hope the team can pull it off!
William Sauer Man I am so sorry
@@williamr.c.4168 why? Glass was great
Christian Sánchez Plasencia I’m glad you feel that way. I wish I could say the same. I respect your opinion.

One of the best movie endings ever.
You know, i was so focus on the scene, i didn't even notice the unbreakable music. I definetly got a goosebump hearing "mr. glass". Man cant wait for the sequel for this 😁
When I saw this scene in the movie theater I almost stood up and cheered. Unbreakable IS HANDS DOWN the greatest superhero movie ever made.
Joseph Callahan Isn’t a superhero film
You are correct. Joseph Callahan isn't a superhero film. BUT UNBREAKABLE IS THE BEST ONE EVERY!!!!!!!!
Unbreakable is forever my favorite David Dunn the overseer must return like logan 🙏🙏
M Night avengers confirmed
Jiren Yes ! If he continues the Universe, I would like him to cast Adrien Brody, Dylan Minnette and Katherine Langford as the next heroes. But they need to have their own movies first.
What do you mean? This is a completely different ball park to the avengers
Well there is only 1 good super human and 2 bad ones so....
Great way to destroy the Avengers franchise.
stfu
I like how this is the most viewed scene of the movie.
man when i heard that unforgettable score creep its way into this movie, chills. chills
YazmanianDevil what do you think about glass after seeing it?
Why did the kill David he is a superhero and Mr glass creates superheroes and villaina
Alchemistic Academician and probably the most underrated.
Glass kinda ruined it. Such a disappointingly bad movie
too bad Glass sucked
I liked glass
So did you like it?
Unbreakable and split come together
Next is "GLASS"
kaine fragua so hyped
kaine fragua right I saw the poster
I *know* stuff

Hell yes and 2 weeks to go.

Erick Rodriguez glass came out already bro. Idk what you’re talking about

mburzzzawa we got the hero’s Unbreakable and maybe Casey and we got the villain’s story now we will see them collide
It's like the music has a 2000's vibe to it, which make its perfect! Good memories!
The most satisfying feeling I’ve had after watching a movie in the theater. I went from feeling mixed on what I saw to being mind blown cause of how much sense it made after this reveal.
M Night is back. I loved Split and can't wait for Dunn VS the Horde.
A year on from Split I still love the final scene. I knew something was coming but this reframes the entire movie.
I hadn’t even watched Unbreakable when I saw Split and I still got pumped at the ending reveal.
This movie was soooo much better than the trailer made it seem. And this ending was the left hook I didnt see comming. Cant wait for "Glass"!!!
That David Dunn music. I can only imagine the hype when people first saw it.
McAvoy deserved an Oscar for this movie alone.
This movie's ending had me so hyped! I was like, "Dang, I can't wait for Bruce Willis' character to drown in an inch deep puddle of water in the next one!"
The New Cinematic Universe
Crime verse?
Shyamalaverse
The New Superhero Cinematic Universe
Unbreakableverse
Eastrail 177 Trilogy
This scene alone should get a Oscar nomination. Fantastic acting
This scene alone show that James McAvoy is one of if not the best actor in the world. Definitely my favorite.
UNBREAKABLE IS CONNECTED TO THIS MOVIE 😲😱😮😱😱
The third movie in what was just announced as a trilogy is coming out next year, it’lol be called ‘Glass’
As a very unbreakable fan, I was at the movies, and I pulled the connection with the two films soon after the song (which I also really like) started playing when Kevin's personalities chatted in front of the mirror !!
This movie stood so well on its own!
Then they dropped this monster of a twist! I spazzed in the theater!
One of the best surprise endings ever
Completely original such a beautiful thing to see actual creativity, instead of the remake bs Hollywood has been producing. A good question to ask is how the hell did knight make superhero hero films better than the people who make superhero films lol I love it
