Thanks for this video! This was very informative and I wanted to see if I was setting things up right. I like how excited you were for that bow lol, really seems like an amazing game.
when you get to higher levels, you'll get to choose whether you want to be a guardian or a weapon master. this won't be available until some future expansion though, IIRC :)
This is getting creepy. That's the second time a set of videos is uploaded only hours within my copy of the corresponding game arriving in the mail. It's also extremely convenient. Thanks for creating all these videos and helping with the difficult decision of what games to buy.
I look forward to seeing this played and am settling myself down as I'm half way through Middle Earth Quest too, What's happening in the top right corner a minute in? Carpet cleaning?
Evidently the first two scenarios for BO are completely devoid of armor. I'm running a 4 player game (solo) so 2 extra locations and none have armor. So, if you're needing armor (you won't as it is pretty lame 99% of the time), you have to hit the one chest (barrier) that gives you 1d4 armor. Btw, I find it funny that only 2 locations have the Monsters and Barriers flipped on the cards, and you showed both of them.
I have something called a "Role card" For my fighter it had a Guardian on one side, and then "weapon Master" on the other. Any idea what those are for?
Be REALLY careful with erasable ink. It is erasable initially, but becomes more and more permanent with time. See if you can erase that in three months... I am considering sleeving mine if I get this game and marking on the sleeves.
I'll never understand the issues people have with marking on cards for games like these. Games are meant to be played, not kept in pristine condition for resale value.
I have purchase all the expansion for this game. i was thinking, during setup and building deck for monsters , items, do we only form it from the deck from respective adventure set Or we choose from a deck with all the other expansion mix in?
cindy tang you're supposed to mix in new decks of stuff with your existing ones, and slowly over time remove lower level stuff. but i'm sure you can do it however you like :)
***** however, i think you're only supposed to shufflie in new weapons/items/etc. when you first "enter" a new expansion because they do rise up higher in power as you move deeper into the campaign
Does this game have a decent amount of replay value if you only get the base set? Or is it linear and needs the expansions to fully enjoy it? I am seriously considering this because it looks pretty fun!
there's probably a bit of replayability in it, running through the adventures again wtih different characters, but i don't think that will go very far. you'll really need to prepare for investing quite a bit more for the expansions :)
I have been looking forward to the Rahdo treatment of this game. Thanks, Richard!
Thank you so much! I just bought this game today and the guide book was hard to read. This helps sooooo much!!
thanks for the heads up!

i think its a good idea to put cards in sleeves and just mark on the sleeve instead. at least the character ones

Your voice sounds a lot like Mean Gene Oakerland so I'm getting nostalgia watching this.

Excellent job!! You can play solo with 2 characters? Or is that not recommended...
It works totally fine :)

Great videos, thank you! Exactly what we needed.
Good video. Beginner question. When you're setting up, do you just use the basic cards for set up. Or do you use all of the cards
+tubeisace nope, many cards wait to get added in subsequent adventures
Rahdo, can you give more information about the marker/pen you used?
Rick Loe pilotpen.us/brands/frixion/ i think you can get them on amazon or most any stationary store :)
***** Thanks!

Oh dear lord, he marked the card. Pardon me, I need to bang my head against the wall for a few minutes. Okay, it is erasable. You scared me Richard.
