    So good. These would've been ideal for the old BBC. Obviously I'm thinking of a time long past when the BBC presented quality, innovative and exciting programmes.

    Have to say you amaze me with your knowledge of well
    most subjects of History,However this particular one
    regarding SALT, took me back in time growing up ( just around the early 40/5 yrs)
    when a guy used to pull a handcart around with 2 or 3 lenghs of SALT 2 ft long&
    around 4 inches thick and would cut a slice off to sell to you . How times have cbanged. 😊

    I wonder if it was the same people that build the viaduct also at Stockport over the m60? Enjoying the blogs too 👍

    Absolutely love the history surrounding this bimble. You certainly quench the thirst for knowledge. Didn't know about the St.Helens connection, like a jigsaw puzzle connecting different areas of Britain. Thanks for the time it takes you to research the facts for the history lesson kieran. As ever peace- love and bimblism 🚲☕✌

    Yet another great vlog Kieran ,
    I also enjoy your sense of humour , especially about the “ Southerners “ tongue-in-cheek of course .

    Really fascinating Kieran. Only been that way once, 3 x punctures, all thorns. Hope you didn't get any. Imagine we used to be in a desert on the equator. Brilliant 👍

    I've done that river weaver a couple of times, including an overnighter. First time I got a puncture at Dutton Locks and had to push my bike to Frodsham. Left my puncture kit at home. 🤦
    Fascinating stuff again, Kieran. 👍

    • @BimblismUK
      @BimblismUK  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I got a puncture around there during the summer and a thorn stuck in my shoe on Sunday. I think it's the thorns.
      I might do a camp next to the viaduct next year. :)

      @@BimblismUK Yep, I was done by a thorn, too. Pretty bad for them, there.

    Victorians made the world we’re living in today. Men with vision but also forgotten people who risked their lives. Health and safety saves lives. Scary to think how unsafe it would have been to work on these projects.
