    Kieran your a wealth of knowledge , although I live in scotland now I was raised in st’helens and I love the history of Lancashire and surrounding area keep it up bud

    Another cracking local Bimble. A pint of etiquette. When you approach pedestrians on the two paths are a bell ringer or a vocal excuse me person. I tend to the vocal approach myself

    Kieran, how do you call the ferryman? Do you ring a bell or shout him? Or is he always stood there? Does it get busy? I’ve been meaning to take my young son on it for the experience and a bit of education. Many thanks. I have bought you a coffee ☕️

      I think he sits in a little brick hut. It rarely gets busy. :)
