I got 2 of these gear venders overdrives. 1 in my 94 150 4.9l zf5 and one in my 1997 f350 zf5. They are amazing for when you are climbing a long steep mountain and need a gear between let's say 3rd and 4th because 4th is a bit high but 3rd is to low. Love it. It's basically a super 10 speed transmission.

You were able to use the stock Ford knuckles, and use the GM’s 2WD steering box and pitman arm?

Gear Vendors themselves told me I can't use it with an exhaust brake, so I ended up selling mine. There was another option for a similar unit, which is a gear drive set up made by US Gear.
That's not true. I have been using mine for about 13 years on my 1990 D250 with a Cummins and a Getrag 360 and exhaust brake, and it works beautiful. The reason they say don't use them with exhaust brakes is due to some people not having common sense to not splitting gears while going down grade or slowing down.
