Watching your videos has inspired me to take on projects that I am in no way qualified to do but I am going to try anyway because how else will I learn?
Hi, hey man, I have the same truck in my country, and I can't find the leaf springs, how can I find the original leaf springs, rear and front , for a GMC 1991 c3500hd?
I have a Range Rover video that I've been working on since September. I just got the engine back in after some open heart surgery, so hopefully I'll have this video out next 👍
I’m continually impressed with how far this channel has come in such a short time, especially considering you’ve done most of it shade-tree style or in a barn with a dirt floor. The word awesome is over used but it certainly applies to you and what you’ve done here. Looking forward to what the future brings. 👊👍🏻
Your channel is probably MY most anticipated viewing. I love the detailed commentary of the builds and the fact you're not afraid to try anything. I am hoping for some new content soon.
The level of Genius and Ingenuity to pull something like this off is nothing short of Impressive....No multimillion dollars shop, $3-400,000.00 sets of tools, lifts, scanners, and other fancy Gizmos...Just basic ideas and knowledge...Bravo, Sir, Bravo...!!!! 👏👏👏👏👍👍👍!!!
It's fun to see all your work compressed down like this. Hard to believe it's 'done'! Also looking forward to seeing that new-to-you S-Class! Keep up the great work. Your channel is truly special and the effort you put in really goes a long way to stand out from the crowd. Excellent demeanor, presentation skills, and overall personality. Can't wait for more.
At first I saw the part of the title in the notification and was really excited for a Cummins swap update, then I saw that it is basically a recap of the whole project and I was admittedly a little disappointed because I was hoping for something new but then I realized this video is perfect to help me with something of a reality check... I'm planning out a project to take a used not running/barely running van, extend the frame, swap a medium to heavy duty pickup truck engine and transmission into it, redo the interior and possibly add a homemade bucket lift to it. Now on paper that sounds (at least to me) like a not easy but also not horribly complicated process but seeing this has given me some insights into what kind of work I would actually be getting myself into, in a small easy to digest video. Thanks for all the hard work and showing people that massive automotive projects are doable with enough time, and patience.
So you just built this truck the way it should have been built in the first place, using available parts and fabricating the rest. Amazing, inspiring, unstoppable. And a great pleasure to watch. Thank you!
Sir you are a man that has the most incredible talent I have ever seen in a long time, your fab skills are awesome, that truck turned out beautiful, stay awesome.!!!!! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

I've watched through the build series as I prepare to do a 24v Cummins swap into a 1990 F350. This has been an invaluable resource. Thank you a ton for this.
I've been watching the build series for a while and to see it all happen all in 12:43 mins. It really makes me wish I had a neighbor / friend like you to help me on my projects.. I can find the great deals.. But lack the resources to push them through.. sofar on my back logs I have a 1977 IH Loadstar 1800 with an SV-304, sitting next to it is a 2004 International 6.0 diesel engine / cab (wire harness was butchered by buyer who wanted the chassis), a 2000 dodge ram 3500 diesel with bad rear axle spindle and a 1994 Ditch Witch 5110D with bad injector pump (still sitting at seller's summer vacation home for almost 5 years now).. But I gotta saw this one turned into an awesome build 🙂
Waldo you are definitely the content that stands out in the crowd. I can relate to sketchy pulling with a tractor and a log. BTW I love your home/shop area. The nature really adds something to the videos too. Greetings from Mexico 🇲🇽 🤟🏻
The projects you have done you make it look so easy, you have to feel proud after you accomplish the projects, I know just changing an engine and transmission takes hours and hours of work, It was much easier back in the 70,s and 80,s but still took hours. I hope young people get inspired watching the videos you produce and try new things. Thank you for sharing
Your videos are great because they SHOW the details of your builds. Talking is to a minimum, project progression is smooth and once again loaded with visual details. Keep up the great work, your fabrication, auto body and mechanical skills seem GREAT!
That's hilarious. I didn't recognise the original truck and thought this was a completely different project. Seeing it like that, I realised what an amazing job you did. Thanks for sharing.
Easily my favorite video on the channel now. The fast-paced editing made it thrilling to watch. I'm a new subscriber so I never saw this series, but this project is amazing. I kept expecting you to compromise something but it never happened, everything is top-notch. If the YT algorithm is any good this vid should go viral
Waldo -- You are the most talented person I have ever seen when it comes to mechanical stuff. I found your channel maybe a year ago and I sure am glad I did and I look forward to your new videos. You sure do beautiful work on no matter what project you take on.
I was given a fairly low miles Jeep Patriot with a failing CVT. Cost more to fix than its worth. I did what you have done. I raised it up and rolled the chassis from a 1988 Nissan Pathfinder 2 door. V6 power 5 speed manual, warn locking hubs, 33" tires. At 7 feet tall, the hood was about the height of the roof of a stock Patriot. Lots of fun with the wiring. It stole the show at a jeep show and it was just parked in the parking lot.
Absolutely amazing job! Your work is so inspiring. Too bad GM didn't follow your lead and put that legendary Cummins engine in the those trucks during the 1990s. They would have been a huge success. Thank you so much for sharing.
Your content is so awesome! I have been searching lately for a first or second Gen dodge with a Cummins in it for a project truck to work on with my grandfather. Your content is always so inspiring! Thanks!
Waldo, for a software engineer, you do amazing work, and you seem to have a passion for it. Don’t quit, keep your curiosity going so we viewers can benefit in the form of new content 😊
I came across your channel about 5 hours ago and im hooked , its now almost 2am here in Sydney Australia and i cant stop watching. Love the way you improvise and fabricate parts from scratch
Just makes you realize how much work involved, it would have cost a small fortune if contracted out , well done Waldo always great filming and look forward to more project's !!
Good video and job. There are very few people that could have done all you did on that truck. Your tool boxes are way better than after market. Take care, be safe and well.
As many have said Waldo: we LOVE this channel and your 'Can Do - Will Do' attitude. But the confidence you give to others is also much appreciated. God bless you John 3:16
Awesome! Amazing results on this build. Your videos are wonderfully unique. I know this is a flashback to some earlier videos, but I really enjoyed seeing it shrunk to a 12 minute recap. It was so packed, I watched most of it at quarter speed. THANKS for putting so much effort into editing this for the viewers!
So amazing to see this come to life, you were who I watched when doing my skoolies Eaton 5 speed swap. Not many videos out there of this 5.9/5speed mash up, I can proudly say I have one of my own videos now of our swap thanks to you! My wife & I are both amazed by your skills in the environment you are in, I showed her this video lastnight & she says email us if you are single.............
I love this build series, its transformed so much since the beginning. I found your channel by fluke one day when I was searching for welding / fabrication videos or seires.. I was just getting comfortable with welding and fabricating and I wanted to learn so of the not so obvious tricks to the trade. I learned so much from the flatbed videos and the goose neck series. All the best this year and looking forward to all the content!
Great video! I did a cummins conversion myself, only in a ford dually. Lots of blood, sweat, and tears but totally worth it in the end! Looking forward to more content!
I was looking for an idea for a father son project and this might be the push I needed. Thanks for the inspiration. Thinking I’ll go with an extended cab truck, Cummins Allison swap
This is absolutely amazing! I wish I had a friend like you to help me with my truck and also to teach me the Fab side of the build I’ve mechanic for 10yrs but this creativity is fantastic the dash blew my mind great work brother 🤝
With all that skill, nice rig. You seem young, maybe invest in a concrete carport to make life easier with an engine stand/hoist. Stellar welding skills. Excellent mechanical as well as interior work. The custom flatbed was state of the art.
Some stock 6.5 liter engine mounts actually work for the cummins , my buddy has a 5.9 swapped obs and it has factory Gm engine mounts in it still , makes it handy for having replace that stuff
Niice vid recap Waldo. I'd forgotten that you addressed the KDP, which means i need to go back and watch that episode again for Cummins swap project. I luv the 3500HD, i always rubberneck when i see one....thinking of your truck.😎 Im a C-60 guy myself. Looking forward to that International.😜
My shop is almost done. When people ask what I’m going to do in it….it’s about as hard to answer as “what’s your favorite bourbon?” I usually just stare at them and say…”stuff”.🤷🏻♂️ No I just send this video and say “stuff”. Thanks for posting
12:20 AWESOME! Thanks for the short clip. I was thinking all the way through "Man this would be an awesome longer series!". Then you drop it at the end!! :)
Finally! We have all been patiently waititng for a video, a Jack of all trades. Thanks for the content and the way you story tell/ create. It keeps me engaged for sure. Keep up the great work! (Also; your "titles" are amazing)
I’ve always wanted a Cummins. I think they make great engines. However, I’m a Chevy guy and I don’t want to drive a Dodge. This thing is awesome. It’s one of the coolest trucks I’ve seen. Something like this would totally solve my problem. I want to build my own in the future. Hopefully one day I will acquire the skills, equipment, and money to do it.
crazy this project has been going on for years now! I remember it from the beginning days of your channel. Looking forward to next range rover video, as I also own a 2010 5.0L just like yours. Has a coolant leak right now.. anyway, hope this comment helps the algorithm!
Watching your videos has inspired me to take on projects that I am in no way qualified to do but I am going to try anyway because how else will I learn?
Yes! That's one of the best ways to learn! I also learned a LOT while I worked on this project 👍
@@WaldosWorld amazing work! Beautiful truck! And nice welds btw!
That's how seriously everybody starts. Get in over your head, and claw your way out. Either at 5 or 65, it's the only way to really learn.
Measure cut weld repeat. Sweat blood and tears
Hi, hey man, I have the same truck in my country, and I can't find the leaf springs, how can I find the original leaf springs, rear and front , for a GMC 1991 c3500hd?
Dude's literally a genius. Teaching himself to do all this stuff, and succeeding to that degree is beyond impressive.
You can learn anything on the internet.
Yale, Harvard, Princeton can’t teach you what the internet can! What they teach is how to not work with your hands, and still keep them pretty 😅
Backing up the truck with a tractor and a 4x4 might be the coolest thing you've shown. Masterful.
Haven't seen you in weeks, and we get 12 minutes! Stop rationing our Waldo time.
I have a Range Rover video that I've been working on since September. I just got the engine back in after some open heart surgery, so hopefully I'll have this video out next 👍
@@WaldosWorld You had surgery?! I hope you are well Waldo, you look to be a rather fit young man. Take all the time you need, and Godspeed.

What happed to the trailer
What's crazy to me is how being a mechanic, welder, fabricator isn't even your career and you picked it up so quickly and make it look easy
what was he doing?

I built my 6BT/6 speed C3500HD in 2014 and am about to rebuild it after working it all these years- this is great inspiration
Wow can't believe they put a diesel Cummins in junk Gmc what happened to the duramax
So you just built this truck the way it should have been built in the first place, using available parts and fabricating the rest. Amazing, inspiring, unstoppable. And a great pleasure to watch. Thank you!
Waldo you're possibly the world's Greatest fabricator.
I like how he started to build a gooseneck trailer but never actually finished it but just get more projects and finished them instead
Sir you are a man that has the most incredible talent I have ever seen in a long time, your fab skills are awesome, that truck turned out beautiful, stay awesome.!!!!! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Great build. Seems like you put a ton of work into it, but the end result turned out well.
