- I couldn't quite believe it.... my favorite brand, my Holy Grail of vintage glass, just sitting on the bottom shelf at Goodwill!! Thrift with me and find out exactly what it is.......
Hello Everyone! Its Tiffany with Thrifting Vegas. I shop at thrift stores, estate sales, garage sales and discount stores for items I can resell for a profit on online platforms like eBay, Poshmark and Offer-Up.
Its Friday night, prime restocking time at my favorite Goodwill. I have a couple of hours to shop so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I can find some treasures and fill me cart. The spring weather is lovely, clear blue skies and in the low 80's. The trip started out well with a pottery whiskey jug on the first end cap, and it was all uphill from there as I found my Holy Grail at Goodwill and more and more amazing treasures. Thrift with me and learn what to bolo and what to leave on the shelf and why. I found a gorgeous Anchor Hocking amber water pitcher, a tall African tribal piece, a huge Star Wars Ewok, a Florence California ceramic doll, a lion and cub wall plaque, a collection of ceramic and glass birds and a waterfall incensee burner!! Stay to see everything I purchased in my haul where my lovely tabby cat Ziggy takes a nap in the take home box from Goodwill. I’m curious. 🤔 How many other “minimalists” like myself enjoy watching Tiffany’s thrifting? I find her videos so relaxing which is a direct contradiction to my “less is more” lifestyle. I love listening to her soft accent and soothing voice. My blood pressure goes down! All the treasures she delicately handles and describes in such an articulate manner is a joy to watch. AND BANDIT! 😻 Such good vibes through her videos. I may be a diehard minimalist, but I thrift vicariously through Tiffany. 🥰
Me too! Minimalist all the way!! But these videos are like looking at something evil that you can’t stop watching…I love seeing all the things that just delight her.. she’s so much fun! I’d drive that cart over a cliff but it makes her so happy!! 😊

You are very fortunate that your goodwill has such wonderful items.
I lived 2 hours from the Viking factory and would make a trip every summer in the 70’s to visit it. Also my first job at a drug store sold Viking and my first day I had to dust. This was in 1968, I’m old.

A stunning, rare Viking Glass asymmetrical triangular shallow bowl. This piece was part of its Epic line and made only for a few months in 1962 due to the difficulty of making the triangle shape and its thick, rolled rim. We have never seen another one in this large 16" size, and we believe it was made for a very short period during the few months the line was in production. Whether you collect Viking Glass or mid century modern design, you'll want to add this piece to your home. It's a show stopper.
The blue color is fantastic and the bowl is quite large. As you can see from the photos, each side of the triangle is slightly different in length from the opposing sides, each measuring between 15 1/4" and 16". Similarly, as the bowl flares outward and upward, the height of each corner is slightly different, ranging from 3 3/4" to 4 1/2". The base of the bowl has a ground and polished "marie". It weighs 5 1/2 lbs.
I'm in Arizona and if I could get such good price like you find I might shop Goodwill more often. I really don't want to pay Target prices for second hand so I don't shop Goodwill anymore.
I'm in central Alabama, I only go to Goodwill here if I'm in the area, which is rare
You are correct... Arizona goodwill has high prices.
I live in arizona also. The Salvation Army and Mesa thrift have much better prices.
Yeah, don't see your prices in AZ Goodwills too often.... but there are deals out there once in awhile....I still have it on my list to stop and shop them. Salvation isn't much cheaper on my side of town ...bottom line, it's all hit or miss at any thrift.
It makes no sense not to keep prices low, more ppl would return and sales would be higher. Then friends bring friends. The mentality for selling is not smart for these thrift stores. They don’t pay wholesale, they r donated for free. So, it’s all profit. Not bright on their part. I know a thrift store that closed because ppl said their prices were too high. This store is fair.

Loved that amber pitcher and the gorgeous bowl! I collected a ton of amber glass and that bowl isn’t one I had. I don’t blame you in the least in that bowl - I’d hold onto it, too! Liked the cat mug and some of the little ceramic birds, as well. Ziggy, of course, is my absolute favorite of the things on the table!
Bear was so chill with the box! It won’t be long before he recognizes the blue on the box and wants it open right away so he can claim whatever he’s allowed to take from the box. Mine likes the Chewy boxes, but is equally as fond of Amazon and is always thoroughly convinced that the contents of all boxes are intended for him. 🤣 Bear is so polite and stands back while you open it - encourage that to continue. I made the mistake of thinking it was cute when my Kirby would excitedly approach the box and now he’s so enthusiastic about the opening of ANY box, that he makes it three times harder than it needs to be while I try to keep him away from the scissors or knife as I cut the tape!

Another fabulous video.... so many cool things and amazing finds. I keep looking at local Goodwill's for some treasures, alas.... never find anything worthwhile. And OMG, Bear is just sooooo wonderful. My 4 pups love the antlers, they are keeping their teeth sparkling. I see Mr. Bear has to grow into those big ears yet. Sending you greetings from AZ!

I have a 16 lb. Pekingese who adores bully sticks. He has trouble chewing harder items and he's not much of a chewer. It is cheaper to purchase a whole 4-feet long bully stick and cut it up onto several more managable portions than to buy the smaller ones individually. I always let him have it before cutting it up when he gets a new one, which is only about twice a year, LOL. He thinks it is such a prize that he has such a huge treat. I also bake liver, chicken gizzards and hearts for him. But his absolute favorite treat is cheese! Somehow he knows when it comes out of the fridge and he goes nuts until he gets his three tiny pieces. The cat has caught on and now he wants his cut too. So cute.

Ikr....ours in the few towns away can be spendy as well.
We have barely anything priced less than $5.99 usually....NOTHING under $2.99. That tribal piece would have been $40+ here too.
It’s crazy where I live too! I think all the managers look on eBay before they anything out!
Same with the 3 stores in my county, the mugs are $1.99 and up. Today I went to one of my local stores and the prices were extremely high, for a medium size plastic kitchen bowl they were asking $7.99
I wonder if they are watching this channel and think they have to rise prices.
I live in a small county in Florida, I call it a cow town, because our county average income per year is less than $40,000

I use it to hold my candle remotes:) Also- thank you for showing the furniture pieces. My local Goodwill's don't accept furniture donations, so I enjoy seeing what other stores have. :)

The bird with a mauve or purple stripe through it looks like a piece from v. Nason & co. I have a different size bird with a similar stripe through it. I’ve seen other figurines with a mauve stripe through it by this artist.

It’s amazing week after week of great finds at Goodwill. Bear is still new to the delivery box goodies, but give him a few months & he’ll be at the window waiting for the delivery man! Our fur babies get the Bark Box & oh what fun.

The Viking glass factory was about 20 minutes from my house. We are about an hour and a half from where the Fenton factory was. We used to go there a lot.
