- I had a great start at Goodwill today ......the very first thing I found in the Hard Goods section was worth over $100 and made 100 miles from where I was born!!!!.......
Hello Everyone! Its Tiffany with Thrifting Vegas. I shop at thrift stores, estate sales, garage sales and discount stores for items I can resell for a profit on online platforms like eBay, Poshmark and Offer-Up.
Its a gorgeous warm and sunny Easter Saturday and my favorite Goodwill was busier than I expected, but I found amazing treasures hiding on full shelves. Thrift with me and learn what to bolo for and what to leave on the shelf and why. I found 3 cute brooches, a vintage bamboo butler's tray, a Betsey Johnson trinket dish, a set of Spode Christmas glass tumblers and a set of Lenox glass tumblers, a fantastic vintage brass spitoon, a pair of tea bag holders, a gorgeous pastel pottery vase and a Churchill blue Chintz teapot!! Calico ware!!! Dani passed a mug up a couple days ago. I'm just starting the video but I had to pop on and yell CALICO WARE! 💖💖💖 I have full settings for 12 and many pieces, including the teapot, espresso cups, water pitcher... Oh I just love it. I was little in the 70s, when my mom would take me shopping and she'd buy pieces... It was always understood that some day they would be mine after she passed. She made sure I got them before I lost her. What a beautiful find! (You're calling it Churchill, and I think it's got several names for the same blue calico pattern.) Happy Easter, Tiffany! 💝🐰

Oh, and a very nice haul! 🤣🤣 I liked everything except the many eyed bank! I can see that it would definitely have its appeal to others, though. Surprisingly, I really liked the cowboy hat pin! Not at all my thing, ordinarily, but it looked so well made. That mirrored pedestal is gorgeous and I can see you using it to showcase all sorts of items in your hauls, not just jewelry. You’re so fun to watch!

Oh! While shopping at my goodwill store in van Nuys CA I came across a pair of DAUM parakeets sitting 🙃 😐 😅 on a branch. They are blue and green. I love the translucent
Another great video Tiffany. I wanted those huge brass things so bad!! I checked out Bear's videos and the narrating giving him a voice is such an awesome idea! My favorite quote was when he was getting his bath: "I'd rather be covered in hot bacon grease quite frankly"... I laughed out loud. His channel is going to be a winner! Your husband is hilarious. And of course I liked and subscribed!

Another wonderful shopping trip. The pin you're calling a hippo is actually a rhinoceros . You can say the little horn on his nose and hippos don't have horns on their noses ! I am obsessing over the teapot it's beautiful.

I’m originally from the BlackCountry (West Midlands, UK) not far from the china and glass factories. In 1967, my Mum bought a Burleigh Blue Calico tea set and dinner set from the open air market in Wolverhampton for the kitchen in our then new house. Over the years she added many pieces. As Blue Calico gained in popularity, it became more expensive and harder to find ‘seconds’ so she retired the Blue Calico and started collecting Blue Willow for the kitchen as the pattern was made by several different manufacturers and both first and second pieces were easy to find at reasonable prices. My Mum and I have hand carried many, many pieces of Blue Calico across the Atlantic. Have added to the collection and is easy to tell,what is from UK (Burleigh) and what I have bought in US (Royal Crownford) I have this teapot, it is Churchill’s version of Blue Calico and is a different shape to Burleigh/Royal Crownford. Found fabric in authentic Blue Calico pattern - made a table runner and napkins - don’t use it all at the same time, it’s a bit too much Blue Calico all in one place even for a long time collector!!

I have a couple of little pieces in the sane pattern.
The spittoon has to be one of the most disgusting items from the olden days, YUK but you were lucky to find it; maybe for umbrellas or a plant. I just knew Bear was a star !

The hippo pin is pretty old. When the pin is longer than the end it's an indication that it's an older piece. It's in great condition.
I think it might be a rhino. It’s nose looks pointed like a horn. I may be imagining it, mind you.

Enjoy your videos Tiffany (& seeing Bear). You have a good eye. I really liked the bamboo tray. I hope it is ok but I want to make a comment about pottery. I have a Fine Arts degree which included Ceramics. A piece that is thin is not necessarily of inferior quality. The drip glaze candle holder appears to have been thrown on the wheel before the pierced decoration was added. The clay looks to be stoneware which is a high fire clay and thus strong even when thin. It actually takes more skill to throw a thin vessel.

Hi -- I just wanted to answer a question you asked about on a recent video. Regarding Temptations bakeware: it wears well with some care on scalloped edges. It is sold on QVC and comes in many colors and patterns. My daughter in law used it and gets many compliments when she brings it to parties -- it is really nice for a cook-in presentation display. 21:08 I really like that amber glass pitcher! I am used to seeing the green ones, which are also nice, but I imagine that iced tea would look much better in an amber glass pitcher.
My ma had one in white! She had a dish set she got w purchase at the grocery store she thought looked similar to cut glass . Sis has it . But got rid of all the flow blue when she had cleaners clear out the condo !
