Bro I'm so fucking proud of serral man, I got into watching sc2 from some random videos, then he hit the double and I was watching every single serral game man just to see if he could even loose! I don't play StarCraft but I know so much about the units etc just from watching, man, serial is the freaking goat I love that he is still going such a sick mentality and deep understanding of the game, literally words could go on, such a great dude.
I thought about becoming a world-champ SC2 player but then I watched Serral stream and decided it's not worth the crippling depression required to be the best.
It's 5,5-11,5 months depending on if you got to on to become an NCO / Junior Officer or some specialized branch (11,5 months), a few are 8,5 months, and then basic level tasks (grunts in infantry, line-cooks, recon, artillery, etc) are 5,5 months. They do live in the barracks for the whole time though.
Yes, in a couple of ways: 1. The time of entering service is different. Usually we enter military service in January or July, but for athletes it is either April or and October. April allows winter-sport athletes to do the majority of their service during the off-season, and October for summer-sport athletes. 2. Going through the athlete program, you tend to get a bit more leeway when it comes to extra leave, and also extended evening-passes if you have to practice. Usually you can leave at 18:00, and have to be back at the barracks by 21:30, but that can be extended by several hours, depending on the sport. 3. If athletes are chosen for NCO or Officer training, i.e. 11,5 months, they are trained in recon related tasks (physically very taxing), as they tend to already be in quite good shape.
@@vincentback6496 Thanks! I dont think 3 will be relevant for Serral... I wonder how it will go with all those athletes in peak physical condition, and then this one skinny guy (with awesome reflexes)
@@drorbedrack8720 I'm confident it'll be just fine. Every year the % of out-of-shape conscripts is higher, and they do okay. At the "urheilukoulu" (athlete academy) this is of course a very low %, but for example somebody doing competitive powerlifting, chess, etc. might score low-ish on endurance tests (cooper). Anyways, supporting roles require a lost less physical strength. I was trained in recon (not athlete academy), even though my endurance was SHIT, but that was the only 5,5 month training spot available. I did just fine, even though it was very exhausting at first :-)
More Serral stream analyzation from you would be nice to see. He is still 2 more months in the military, so he will be competing full speed in the fall season again, although I have not seen his skill level ever drop.
Agreed. Serral is terrible, uninspired, weak, and straight up bad. Now if you'll excuse me, Imma queue up my silver account and go melt to another marine push.
the best artists and athlets are extremely selfcritical. John Lennon didn''t like most of The Beatles songs just to name 1 example. and the ones who think who are doing pretty good, are the worst. you can bet on that. it is absolutely normal that serral is never really happy with his performance.
7000 MMR Barcode, yeah, could be anyone xD Edit: Also, around 3min he said "My pool position was off there accidentally". Finglish can be a tad tough at time.
Hmm winter could make it harder to complete the training for sure. But as winter as your gamer tag. You should sound a bit hurt inside that Serral isn't going to have a bit of winter. You could be a bit happy as well that you beat Serral with winter as well. so, either way could work.
Oof, I love watching Serral but more as a spectator and not necessarily from his perspective. I find it difficult to process everything that's going on at the speed he jumps around.
Not a lot of people are aware that Finland shares a border with the ever aggressive and violent Russia. That's why Finland joined NATO for protection last year.
Serral's hair reminds me of my grandpa. He was bald but he had hair on one side of his head. So he would comb it all the way over the other side of his head, making it look like he had a full head of hair.
ProTech's MMR is higher than either of theirs, and he does not play like that. He wins every game on 2 or at most 3 bases, and in reality he has usually actually established control of the game before his second base is even saturated, it's just sometimes it takes a few minutes longer to prove to your opponent that they've already lost. ProTech beat all the best Korean players in both 1vs1 and 2vs2. In fact, in a 2vs2 Arranged Team Tournament, he BAGELS the Korean Pro gamers. I win all my Middle Diamond through low Masters games on ONE base within 8 minutes. I have 3 build orders that I use and just swap between them based on what my first probe scout sees, and I never need a second probe scout, because i know I've already won as soon as I see my opponent's build order.

1000 mmr from silver to diamond isnt worth the same as 1000 mmr in gm league ;p Silvers are usually totally new players, they know nothing about the game, diamonds are already advanced, this is a huge difference, much larger than between 6000 mmr and 7000 mmr, they both are almost the best, one is just even better. But it's a missconception that mmr is worth same amount for every range, while higher density is at 2500-3500 and between 5000-7000 there is almost nobody. Always between totally beginner and average player difference is much bigger than between two advanced players, it's not even close.
Nah its the same. Diamond league for some dumb reason starts at like 3.1k which are players who usually don't have any strengths yet and the games dont really resemble starcraft yet. Literally, the way MMR works means it is the same. MMR doesn't function differently depending on your league. Either way, it gives you a certain amount of points based on the MMR difference between yourself and the people you're beating/'losing to. The only difference is it gets exponentially harder to gain MMR the higher up you go. For example. someone can go from 3k to 3.5k MMR with simple fixes like just learning a real build. but 6.5k to 7k is much much harder to get. Essentially, the reality is exactly the OPPOSITE of what you said. 1k MMR difference in GM means way MORE than 1k MMR difference in lower leagues where they could get better in a week if they tried.
I love watching these games, but I cannot play StarCraft in any sort of skillful capacity. The amount of twitchyness required is too much for me.
