    I've watched your video several times and it's helpful. However, I'm wondering about the correctness of your information about 10 minutes in when you talk about the settings on the back of the remote that look like 6o and 9o. My understanding from the manual is that you can put the unit into a sort of sleep mode for anywhere from 6 to 9 hours. Hence the numbers are not shown as 60 but 6o and if you choose the unit to sleep for 6 hours, the o is an LED light that shows you've chosen 6 hours. Let me know if this is incorrect since you obviously know your subject. Thanks.

      You are absolutely right and I am absolutely wrong. (That's what I get for ad-libbing commentary 2 weeks after reading the manual.) Yes, it is 6 and 9 HOURS. Which means you can you can hit the 9 hours button, say, when you go to bed one night and it will power down that night and every night following for 9 hours. Only problem is you'll be greeted with a cold seat on those late-night loo visits! I'm going to pin your comment so others are not misled. Thanks.

    Fun fact, the remote from a 15 year old washlet also operates this new one-- so you don't have to reinstall a new remote (except for the updated features). Apparently the IR control signals have never changed.

    Great video. At 2:28 though, when you talk about the bowl spray, which they call the Pre-Mist, it's just regular water not the "Ewater+". The Ewater+ is only for cleaning the wand; it's sprayed on the bowl only if you upgrade to at least the S300e, according to the official TOTO comparison chart

    • @WardCo
      @WardCo  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Awesome video WardCo. Thank you very much. Just installed one on a new Toto toilet so learning the nuances was greatly helped by you with an in depth instructional. The booklet falls way too short. Also, the installation instructions left something to be desired. Kudos to you.
    Now on to the complainers. Whaa! Whaa! There are some black mineral deposits. That is what my turd gulpers look like depending on the well water. Very hard to get rid of without using a volcanic rock scrubber. Not supposed to do that nor use chlorox. I do use borax on occasion and the stain remain for some time. Eventually the problem helps solve itself only to reappear.
    So for the critics out there. Shut it!

    I have one of these… not sure if you have the answer to this… But I noticed when you leave it on the default settings the seat is always warm when you sit down. Is it bad to have that seat warmer running 24/7? I don’t mean cost-wise…. Is it going to break in a month because it’s constantly running warm?

    • @WardCo
      @WardCo  ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, probably not in a month. It's not really all that much heat and I'm sure the plastic material is designed for it. How it holds up after 5 or 10 years is the real question. Does the long term effect of the heat degrade the plastic in any way? I don't know.

    • @brianmonarchcomedy

    Hello, I have a question please. Once you use a rear or front feature, does it stop automatically or do you have to press something else to stop it or to go on to another feature? Say for example, I use the feminine feature then want to dry. Do I have to manually stop the feminine water or does just pressing the dryer stop the water? Mahalo!!!

    • @WardCo
      @WardCo  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You can jump from feature to feature without pressing stop first.

    • @WardCo

      If you stand off (thus opening the micro switch in the seat) the water stops and wand retracts.

    Great video! Is there a way to get at/turn off/move the pressure sensor on the right side of the seat?

    • @WardCo
      @WardCo  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Not obviously. It's sealed in there pretty good. Looks like maybe the seat is made of 2 pieces -- a U-shaped top and flat bottom that are fused together, but can't be sure. So the best bet might be to get into the stationary bit where the seat attaches and just disconnect or bypass it -- but I have no idea how to even do THAT. (I can't remember if the bottom was accessible and I don't want to take the bidet of the toilet to look.)

  • @dwigts4887
    @dwigts4887 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

    It would be helpful to leave meter plugged in for several days to know average energy usage. I'm going to guess it's 45 watts for the seat plus 10 watts for the water tank, with all other functions being insignificant to contribute to average energy usage. It is quite expensive. Over the course of 6 years you will pay as much in electricity as for the product. I wish it was possible to have the seat heater only turn on when someone sits on the seat. In other words timed energy saving set to all the time. It seems you can only set to 6 or 9 hours.

    • @WardCo
      @WardCo  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You made me go look! :) No -- well, there is a very slight join where the edges meet the (continuous) bottom but the seam is too smooth and small to be a dirt catch. That said, there is some "splash back" evidence on my mine -- time for a good wipe.

      Release all buttons.
      Push the Power on/off button once to turn off the unit.
      Unplug the power cord and wait for about 10 seconds.

    Is there a way to turn off the LED lights on the lid? They're so silly and unnecessary. Thank you.

    • @WardCo
      @WardCo  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I don't think so -- but maybe someone will correct me. The only UI toggle I can think of is turning the beep on or off. Of course, you can turn off many of the lights by disabling the corresponding feature, but that kind of defeats the purpose of the thing. I've been known to stick white vinyl tape over similar LEDs, though it might take 2 layers to completely kill the glow.
