After reading the manual that came with the bidet (Washlet+ S7A), I'm questioning the decision to install the bidet. An old style porcelain bidet seems a wiser choice.
The instructions say to use a pH neutral cleaner. What would be a pH neutral bathroom disinfectant that is nontoxic? Does a product like that even exist?
@@marius9993I use Force of Nature (hypochlorous acid) to clean mine. The advertised pH is between 5-7, and mine tests at 7, which is considered pH neutral. If you’re interested in seeing how well a particular cleaning product disinfects, the Field of Focus TH-cam account features Petri dish testing (sterile swabbing of a toilet rim, cleaning, then sterile swabbing the same area again).
All the cleaning should be designed to be done without dismount the bidet seat. Any cleaning requiring shutting-off water should be done only every 10 years to minimize any chance of water leaking.
Thank you so much for this thorough cleaning tutorial.

My husband got one. I am terrified because I cannot use chlorine or other disinfectant. That is just nasty.
I am terrified of cleaning toto bidet. I am still watching a video before I start cleaning it.

LOL, I’m not looking forward to cleaning it. Seems very time consuming. I suppose if I do this enough times, I’ll ace it.

Huh. I've been cleaning with benzene all this time! Doh!
Is the main unit washable? It could get disgusting if not.

My contractor’s bidet has lasted for 6-7 years now. He advised me to use baby shampoo or wash , PH level 5-7
@@chocolatte8803 That is a soap. What disinfectant can be used? For diseases transmitted through feces.

Fabuloso is ph neutral. I presume the antibacterial version is as well. Rubbing alcohol is ph neutral and disinfects.
Is there anyway polish or smoothen the toilet seat which is damaged by nail polish remover
