I have an s 7 and it randomly goes off...nightlight and spray even when not in use or I ma not near it is this normal and can this be turned off AND if it is turned off is this not good for the bidet? Thanks!!!
The air dryer strength is also down 14%. I like the new remote, its battery should last much longer. You can now configure the lid to close before auto-flush. All that along with the more sitable profile and seamless lid makes the upgrade worthwhile for me.
Love the way you are being polite and trying to comment in the kindest way possible about how backward the remote design has become. All jokes aside however, this design actually is in line with the rest of the remote design range inclusive of the K300 that I just purchased. To me, the additional feature of night light and another feature(?) may not warrant costing more than twice as much as the lower model/K300 that does almost everything S7A can do.
@@ManyBidets It's really needed, because the remote makes changing advanced settings super hard, the manual is super vague about what the settings do (like what's the difference between "auto flush lid closed" and "auto flush lid relation" or how all the auto flush/lid settings interact since a bunch of them have notes about how setting A changes how setting B works). I want to have the S7A always close the lid before it auto-flushes, but I can't figure out how to make it not smack me in the back with the lid 5-15 seconds after I stand up to wipe dry since those are the only "auto flush delay" time options! Surely I'm missing something.
@@guspaz The S7A remote design is definitely more complicated for programming these settings and we look forward to being able to share a remote walkthrough video soon. To change the delay time and whether it closes the lid before flushing, page 32/33 of the manual will address that!
@@ManyBidets Right, the problem I have is that the available settings are 5/10/15 seconds, which is way too short: it doesn't wait for you to step away, you get at most 15 seconds to dry yourself after you stand up, then you better get out of the way of the lid or it will hit you! I wish that it would not close the lid at all if you are still standing in front of it, but failing that, I would at least be happy with a longer delay. I thought that setting "auto flush lid relation" to "on" would change the timing to 25/30/35 seconds (per note *2 at the bottom of page 32), but even after turning it on it still closes after 15 seconds. It's very confusing!
The remote (and all functions) seems complicated to program. Some settings I got working, some others don't seem to work. Is there a setting where closing the lid manually, automatically activates the auto-flush? (yes I have the autoflush valve installed and operational) ... when can we see a video to programe/use the s7a remote.
Thanks for watching! We have a remote walkthrough video on our short list and hope to be able to provide more insight into this soon but we don't have a timeline for it yet. There is no setting which activates the auto flush when the lid is closed manually.
First off, I love your video reviews. They are very informative. Second I’m considering getting the S7 since I’ve heard with other Toto wavelets that the auto open/ close lid feature is highly sensitive specially in smaller bathrooms. What has been your experience with this feature in the S7a. And can you use the flush buttons on the remote without having the sit flush kit? Thank you so much!
Thank you! :) If you have a smaller bathroom you will have a higher chance with the S7A lid lifting every time you're near the toilet so the S7 might be the best choice. For the auto flush buttons on the remote they will only work if your seat is paired with a washlet+ toilet that has an auto flush kit installed.
Is there any noticeable difference or pros/cons to installing S7A on Toto washlet+ ready toilet versus the Toto’s without the larger hole to feed the cables? The water line and electrical cable do not look as bulky as other bidet seats?
I’m assuming Autoflush will work as long as Toto tank is autoflush compatible. Is that true? Thanks for your videos. Super helpful when making purchasing decisions.
Thanks for your question! When installing on a non-washlet+ toilet the cord/hose will be just as visible as any other bidet seat since the cables will be coming off the side of the seat. Installing on a washlet+ toilet will give you the sleekest setup!
@@summerhahneWe have not gotten a chance to test this out yet but based off of what we know, if you have an auto flush compatible Toto toilet you should be able to install the compatible auto flush kit with the S7A although you would have an additional visible cord off of the washlet if it is not a washlet+ toilet.
Overall liking the use of the S7. However, the operating manual of the remote is the worst manual I've seen in 50 years! Still cannot set all the preferences.
Great question! Although we haven't made any Kohler video reviews yet, in our experience with them we've found their water pressure to be pretty inconsistent so we tend not to recommend them too often. However, it just so happens that despite this, we do have some Kohler videos coming. So, stay tuned!
The S7 remote is red headed stepchild ugly. You also gotta wonder why they don't put bluetooth into the seat and allow you to control if from you phone. In this manner they could push updates out to improve the remote functionality over time.
Let us know what questions you have for the TOTO Washlet S7A, we're excited to share this new seat with you!

We also noticed the decrease in pressure, but agree that a lot of other features outweigh the cons.

TOTO certainly has options across several levels of features. Thanks for your feedback!
Ready for the update. Would love a S7/S7A Tutorial.
Stay tuned because we are planning to make one! :)

I wish they would bring back the design from the Toto S400 seat, the THU9179 remote, it was so great.
They've certainly changed the looks of it a lot since then. Thanks for commenting!
expecting soon we can control with iphone as well 😅
When?

Can you use newer model remotes on an older model bidet such as the K300?
Unfortunately they are all model specific so you would not be able to pair different remotes with it.

Unfortunately TOTO does not have a sittable lid currently.
How do you turn off the seat warmer
