My life changed the night I went into a casino in Seoul, South Korea. It was the first time I ever saw a toilet with a bidet, heated toilet seat, and air dryer. My fellow military men and I of course made fun of it. Then quickly headed back to the casino floor. However after losing a decent amount of money I had the casino bring me a nice traditional Korean dinner. Of course, my American gutter pallet stomach couldn’t take it and my only hope was the explosive discharge I was about to put into that toilet. I used it for all it was worth, the heat, the water pulsating, the air dry. My god, it’s all I think about it. Sent chills up my spine then, and still does. You never forget your first warm pulse of water up your anus, and it consumes you wanting more. I highly recommend a bidet.

Toto has other really neat features beside the bidet: 1.) Their own extremely smooth enamel finish.
Nothing can adhere to it, so it virtually never needs cleaning.
    2.)Cyclonic flush ports.
Maximum bowl evacuation using absolute minimum amount of water.
3.) Top of line model designed by reknowned artist. Look amazing.
(something I've never said about any other toilet)

Never thought I'd let a computer wash my ass. I was wrong! I live in Japan for 2 years now and enjoy my automatic toilet a lot. The lid opens when I enter the bathroom, the seat raises with a press of a button. Do Your business on a warm seat get washed and dried, pull up Your pants and walk away. For those without power outlets, I've been happy with a basic model that has a mechanical valve and no heaters. The water is warm enough because it's room temperature from sitting in the pipe. For drying, I just use a small amount of toilet paper, less than without a bidet.
Also, it only cost $100 Canadian at Costco, which is around $67 US.

    • @QuickQuips
      @QuickQuips 4 ปีที่แล้ว

The office building I worked at for a couple of years leased out the first floor to Toto (it was their south Florida HQ, I guess) and they outfitted the lobby bathrooms completely. We'd all go downstairs to use them rather than use our own private office bathrooms, they were that good. The weirdest part was the parties Toto would occasionally throw in the evening - they'd hire models, catering, musicians, etc., it was a typical, glamorous, PR event. For toilets. So...yeah, very Florida.

Very pleased, I have 3 baths only one has a washlet installed, I will walk down a flight of stairs to use it. Useful for a person with mobility issues. Savage did his excellent review without snickering, good job. Since this is primarily an automobile review site I will call the Toto A100 Washlet the Miata of bidet toilet seats.

Took a week vacation in Japan and went to Tokyo, Kyoto, etc. It was great. All the hotels I went to had bidets. It took me a few days to get used to them but I quickly found myself using them all the time. Came back home and I just felt like a dirty peasant without one. Bought a cheapo $60 unit to attached to my already existing toilet and I feel clean again. It took me just a few days before I said "I can't live without one now" to get my own. It may not have heated seats nor a hot air blower but man do I feel so much better wiping a wet ass instead of a shitty ass.

I like how in depth he went on into these devices lol. As a fair warning, these might not reduce your tp usage as much as he implies. Your mileage may vary. I've lived in Japan for a while and I actually brought 2 TOTO washlets back to the US. Most models except the top of the line one's like his, don't have a drying function. Even when they do they mostly don't work so well. I end up having to use tp to dry off after. Granted my nether regions get sparkly clean, it's worth it for me. BTW those worried about nasty back spray, TOTO washlets with UV and electrolyzed water keep the wand super clean. You will have to clean the toilet bowl and surrounding area more often due to back spray though.

The only regret you'll have is not having purchased one earlier and also like some people are saying, you'll feel less clean when having to use a restroom without a bidet. If you're hesitant about getting a 1200 dollar model, go for a BioBidet of something from your local Costco. You can return it if you don't like. :X

Definitely not silly. I discovered the bidet first in Paris 20 years ago when I just stared at it and laughed but more recently after back surgery when it was impossible to wipe my a** I was forced into having one. These are the single greatest invention ever and I agree with you that I have no idea why they haven’t caught on in America. On second thought I really can because I watch the news so I know that we aren’t the brightest country in the world so never mind then. I guess I do know why they haven’t caught on. Excellent review.

My wife is japanese. And all of her relatives have these in their bathrooms. They are just common. I agree, you set on one of these, and you are like, where can I get one, and I dont care how much it cost. And, the retractable pipe, actually will self clean, and you can actually manually clean it. Its been very very hygenic. More than toilet paper.
    Kudos for this review.

People think “how can you review a car , a car is a car , just drive it “ I thought this about reviewing a toilet , but you seen realize it’s much like cars. You can buy a toilet based off power of flush , the water consumption, how long it last , ETC. interesting.

I'm wondering how to attach this to my carseat and what the reactions will be when I go the to market. Social distance will not be a problem when they see this in the parking lot at Trader Joe's or Krogers. I know I will get a thumbs up when Gretchen Whitmer sees this.

Fantastic video, much needed here in North America. If a bird shits on your head, would you smeer it off with paper or wouldn't you make sure that you wash it off with water thoroughly. Men, have pride and be clean

I'm confident this channel actually chronicles one man's descent into insanity and we're all here along for the ride. Really, at it's best savagegeese is a channel about probably the most in-depth car reviews TH-cam offers. At it's weirdest it's a channel about a man who is excited about his Civic, screams at imaginary kids in his Chrysler Pacifica and discusses technology that wipes his ass.

We got a Toto Washlet because a family member had a stroke needed help in the bathroom. He's a younger man and this automated Washlet has been godsend in that it gives him independence. If you're veteran with a disability, the VA will buy one of these for you.
