    I have this laptop and it’s simply amazing. One thing to note: It DOES have a fingerprint reader. It’s the power button.

      Ahh. I wondered that. Never did it prompt me to set it up and under settings the only option was Windows Hello.

      Thanks for your input, I just ordered one with the 1360 and I've been obsessing over whether or not it was a good decision. I do need a windows machine and something with a bit of kick as I need to do bioinformatics processing and Mac doesn't play well with a lot of that software.
      Edit: on that note, I've noticed almost every reviewer tests laptops with video editing/photo editing- which I get it's what they know, but also this thing has a par-subpar gpu, and like for me I could care less. I'm using the thing for computational power.

      Hi, what are your opinions on alleged problems of overheating, fan noise and low battery life?

    • @decisiveman78
      @decisiveman78 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@gokergiresunlu1370 Hey There, in my experience, it overheats surely during a multiple-update session, and then a few days after… but after that it calms down. I also noticed that it depends on the unit itself also. For example, we all can attest do Dell’s horrible quality control dept; therefore every individual unit will have a different issue. I have had 3 of these Dell 13 pluses thus far, one on an exchange, another because I wanted black instead of white, and yet another one because I sold it on eBay and then bought it back again. Lol. Out of those 3, 1 of them had massive overheating issues, one of them the screen wasn’t as sharp as the others (even though they were all the same resolution specs) and the 3rd one was perfect! So truthfully it all depends on the unit and when it was built it seems

    Does this model have issues with fan noise and overheating or is that just the 13 non-plus version

    Actually there IS a fingerprint reader on the device right next to and to the right of the backspace key. I prefer to use that instead of the face reader. This is a phenomenal machine which I find I'm using more now than my MacBook Pro M1 14.

    I have this beauty
    Absolutely fantastic. Absolutely. The only qualm I have is the 60Hz Display. MacBook Pro's come with 120Hz Variable Refresh Rate. The XPS should, too.
    Also, the Power Button is the Fingerprint Reader. Works flawlessly.

    Babbling about ecosystem. Mac = Better Trackpad. Dell XPS = Better Customer Support (Atleast in india apple devices have 0 support whatsoever)
