Thanks for posting this, I had changed the limiter before but forgot how to do it…. The “Cutt-Off DFCO” was right in front of me the whole time 🤣🤣🤣 thanks again 🙏
Hello Great video Could please do a video or replay to me on how to disable auto shift I’ve got a 4 speed ls1 Even when i put it in manual mode it shifts from first to second automatically. I want to disable that , i want the car to hit the rev limiter . And thanks again for the great video.
Well I am not that experienced with tuning and have not had the opportunity to tune a car with manual shift capability. Let me know what car you have and I can find the tune for that specific car on HP tuners and take a look.
@@LSxMotorsports2021 I own an auto 2004 pontiac gto with ls1 and a 4 speed auto trans It shift automatically from first to second And then from second to third it hits the rev limiter , i need tit to do the same from first to second, until i choose second gear i need it to shift
OK so I downloaded a tune for a 2004 GTO and compared it to a stock 2002 Camaro and they are very similar. I have never been in a GTO so I thought they may have had the paddle shifters but the 04 still has a 4L60E. These transmissions don't like to be manually shifted. If you want it to shift higher going from 1st to 2nd you'll have to mess around with the shift points in hp tuners like I show in the video. But it is best to keep the changes small until you get it to where you want it. These transmissions are very lazy when they are stock but making small changes here and there can make them much more aggressive.
You should make a video on proper DFCO adjustments. My car has a lot of snap, pop, spits off throttle for about 8 seconds then fuel is cut off. Sounds cool at high rpm but it does it all the way down to arpund 1600 coasting off throttle. Id like to get dfco to instantaneously be active. At least as close to the action of off throttle as possible and be smooth. Its a bit much and it kinda sounds like this was done purposely as if its a "burble: tune or whatever so its a bit obnoxious at times. Any explanations i have found are pretty basic they just say adjustment it in dfco settings but how???😂 I also checked my spark advance in these areas, and they are well within where there should be as far as i can tell nothing is altered to purposely create this situation. It doesnt create flames as far as i know but i think evwry once in awhile it may with the more rare bass'ey deep pops🤷♂️😅 I feel like messing around here could also improve off throttle rpm settling.
Helps to mention that yes my car is an LT1 powered 4th gen, it is managed through a 411 pcm ls engine management and hptuners software (eficonnections 24x).
@LSxMotorsports2021 you're the man! Appreciate it. Not expecting you to watch the link but if you have time this is a quick short of my car on my channel and it always does this. Which again sounds cool but as stated it does it for 8 seconds every lift off at every rpm. It's just too much, especially downtown in low rpm in the touristy areas with cops trying to be down low, I just don't want that attention 😅 I should get a little better MPG and engine braking with it being activated quicker also. Also, this will be kinda hard to explain but you know that off throttle, like- "reverse growl" many V8s make between shifting? I think that sound is way cooler than the pops. I miss that sound.
Can't get the link to work but went on your channel and the car looks great. Right now I am working on a truck but later tonight or early tomorrow I will check my tune and the tune I have of the LT1 camaro with the torqhead to see what the settings are and if you want I can video the settings so you can see were they are set. The LT1 camaro idles good and no burble tune on it. I expect it has all stock setting but I will look at it later.
I think it is more simple.I have leaned out the fuel and added timing and calibrated the MAF and also done volumetric efficiency tuning on mine. All things I have not done on the LT but going to take a crack at eventually on the 2016 Camaro.

Glad the video helped. Thanks for watching and commenting we really appreciate it.

Thank you for this information
I will try and look anywhere in HP
Thanks again brother!
So I’ve seen that Camaro Z shifting at 8500 and I want to try to get my 5.3 procharged Z to that range 7500-8000
A Procharged 5.3 running 7500-8000 would be a beast.

I will have to look at my tune I am pretty sure I didn't make any changes to the DFCO settings on mine.

Thanks, I was wondering why my truck was cutting off on wot
Glad someone is watching.lol.
Great videos
Thanks.Hopefully they will be of some help to someone.
Heck yeah…LS looks like a way better platform to start on rather than jumping to LT… or so it seems maybe I’m wrong
