@@GreasyMooseKnuckle69 That's going to be a serious weapon 👍
@@LSxMotorsports2021 that's the plan 😁 Hoping for around 500 on the motor WeaponX
You should hit that number no problem.
If you go to timken site they say to never hat a bearing over 250 degrees.
To much time in the vid wiring the SAME set-up bro
Yeah it's an old video, shooting these videos and editing them takes time to learn. Still haven't got it just right but getting better.
What if it only pops up afte the car has warmed up and its turning on and off ar im driving? Brand new battery btw
Well I am new to this problem too. I would check the 2 wires that plugs into the alternator. Make sure there isn't any breaks in the wire or any missing insulation exposing bare wire. You could also check ground wires to the body. Sometimes they corrode bad enough they cause electrical issues.
@LSxMotorsports2021 yeah I'm going to have to go through the whole cars wiring and fuses at this point. One second its at 11.8 the next it's at 14.6 and it just jumps back and forth
Yeah electrical issues are the worst. Sometimes very difficult to diagnose. Good luck.
Thanks for the Christmas and not Xmas. Hope yours is great!
Thanks. Hope yours is great too.
Tell me what sounds better than a v8 winding up like this 😍
I agree 👍
How much horsepower is this currently running over stock? This thing absolutely rips, especially with these gears.
Not sure of the power number because it's never been on a dyno.
Whats the name of the exaust system ?
It is from Speed engineering. It is a dual 3" system.
I went to torqhead. I love it. It was a easy install plus made my 94 obd2
Yes It is a good system. Makes it much easier to tune.
Think I may just try and make my own this weekend if that's all they consist of. Grab some great 8 bolts to use plus I have some 1/4 inch steal plate left over. Think I'll just use that....
How many miles does it have ?
About 55000 miles
The odd shaped plug has a thermostat in it. It has to be 0°F to turn on.
I do you know if its a fuel pump fuel filter, or opti sparks
What were your mods ?
Headers,Exhaust,CAI,3:73 gears,BTR stage 1 cam and drag radials.

This is awesome, shows me exactly what I need to do to change the taillight bulb on my 2017 colorado
Glad the video helped. Thanks for watching.
This video also saves me approximately $20-$40 in labor, 😁
Yeah it always pays to do what maintenance you can yourself. Everything cost so much these days.
Lt1 s like being run cold
I agree.
How is your oil pressure on cold starts? Is it normal to be almost at max when it’s cold?
I honestly never really paid much attention to it, it does go a little higher but not maxed out. But it really doesn't get driven in the cold and stays in a temperature controlled garage. My truck on the other hand has a digital read out and it usually runs 10 -15 pounds more oil pressure when cold. So I wouldn't worry about it. When it runs low when hot is when you need to worry. Just drive it easy until the engine reaches normal operating temperature.
I meant cold start by the way
@misterglock.4282 OK but it still will read higher until it reaches operating temperature. You may need to replace your oil pressure sensor it could be getting weak. Of course as long as it is not leaking you may want to wait. They are a real pain to change because of the location.
I want to say 6 gen Camaro owners make sure you change your spark plugs to NGK Iridium IX Spark Plugs LFR5AIX-11 # 4469 these spark plugs got rid of my check engine light and a traction control light after changing my stock manifolds to kooks long tube headers with competition pipes.my car drives amazing and is crazy loud now and I never turned my downstream O2 sensors off and still no check engine light. Hope this helps y’all I hate seeing people chase their tales on these long tube header installs. It’s really easy just got to get your car up high enough 20” or so and the pipes slide right in from the bottom. Take your time and Double check your work and your be glad you did it yourself. Good luck.
Jesus christ dude. Add up everything you just said suspension, fuel system, cam ,heads , rear end exhaust. Now you will find its the same as building a stroker motor or an ls crate. The lt1 is ok but with everything available today it's a huge waist of time. Just buy a fucking crate save yourself hours and days of heartache.
I get what your saying. But you don't install all this stuff at once. These are modifications made over a long period of time. And as far as a stroker motor or LS swap your still going to need all the bolt on parts for your new engine for it to perform. You're still going to need the suspension parts for it to put the power down. Throw a stroker motor in this car with everything else being stock your not going to be much faster than the stock motor. If money isn't an issue then just buy a 6th gen ZL1 and leave it stock.
Do you guys have 80% E85 up there...youll be REALLY surprised then lol. I liked this video!!
No E85 in this area unfortunately.
0:39 ...I think we own that
i tried different times as well . there are just to many variables. i usually get 14.5 lts/ 100km. i tried it the first time the best got 12.7 lts/ 100kms it went down . than i did it again right after the first and it just went back up to 14.5. and stayed there only using the more expensive stuff. went back to the cheap stuff.
Yeah I am sticking with the cheap stuff too.
@HypocriticYT - 98 octane is racing fuel grade rarely sold at a standard gas station unless it is a station near a race track catering to racers. I have never seen it sold for only 1 penny higher than the normal highest octane of 93-94 octane. Where "way down south" do you find racing fuel for only 1 cent higher? Not sure you want to put that in your regular car anyway. Will likely do some damage. A spot check of a couple locations in Georgia show premium gas at 93 octane to cost .50 cents to .80 cents more per gallon more than regular 87 octane.
The highest I can get in my area is 91.
Way down south you get 95 and 98 octane and it’s only a penny difference between the two. We are getting ripped off being charged so much extra for higher octane.
Yes we are all getting ripped off on everything these days.
thank you!
Is this a stock 1994 Z28?
No it has Headers,Exhaust,CAI,1.6 Roller rockers and ported stock heads and drag radials. Stock cam and converter. It also has the torqhead kit to replace the Opti.
Oh okay I see, thanks!!
Way back when.. I used to tune fords. Getting the mass air flow transfer function dialed in TIGHT over the WHOLE curve would correct upshift timing and firmness. Something I've seen professional tuners not do because "its close enough" and they don't want to spend time dialing it in. I even saw one tuner just command the shifts way early "because its revving so quick". 🙄 I read about this somewhere on a mustang forum and they were saying their idle was smoother and it was shifting better than factory. Once I corrected it to an obsessive amount and in 500rpm increments all the way to 5500, my part throttle and full throttle shifts were spot on to what I was commanding. Its not a magic bullet.. but it sure seemed to help me get trans functions right.

I have done alot of tuning on the MAF trying to dial it in. But I also modified the MAF by removing the screen so it actually would be worth a try putting the screen back in and seeing if that cures the problem. Unfortunately that will have to wait until spring now but that's a great idea to try just to see if it cures my problem. Thanks.
@@LSxMotorsports2021 That screen helps keep the flow laminar. It should help the MAF read better at part throttle. And even more so if you have an aftermarket CAI Putting a BTR LVL 1 V2 in my ZO6 (LS6 this winter). 🥸
That's a good cam choice.👍
Thanks for your 3-year review on the 2018 Chevy Colorado. It's now late November 2024, do you still have your truck? How did it hold up for you throughout the passing years? I just bought a "22,000" mile excellent condition 2018 Chevy Colorado, Centennial/100th Anniversary edition. The original owner had all the factory recall work done, from your experience what can I expect, or what can I do to pre-empt trouble?
Yeah I still have it. It's been doing good so far. I had to do the rear brakes so I just went ahead and did the front and back but the front brakes would have lasted atleast a couple more years. Had to replace the lower ball joints but I blame that on extremely bad roads. For me this has been a great truck. Lots of videos on this channel of the truck. Thanks for watching and commenting I really appreciate it.
@LSxMotorsports2021 Thank you for the good news about the durability on the Chevy Colorado & all the invaluable & informative information. Luckily I live in South Florida, so all of our roads are pretty much perfectly smooth here, so hopefully I won't have any ball joint issues👍🏾
My 02 Camaro SS is making a terrible groaning noise while turning at low speed ESPECIALLY when the car is cold. Could it be my differential? I had a mechanic put in a new axle and im wondering if he didn’t put in enough fluid maybe?
Well if it didn't make the noise before you had the new axle installed I would say most likely something was done wrong. You could start by checking the fluid level. If your car has the limited slip diff that uses the clutches the mechanic may not put in the limited slip additive which will cause the clutches to make noise.
There’s no way to check it without opening the differential right?
You don't have to open it up. There is a fill plug just turn it out and usually fluid will drip out as soon as you remove it and if not you can use your finger to check the level. If it's full I betting you have the diff that requires the limited slip additive.
@@LSxMotorsports2021 I’m gonna update you on the results soon. Thanks for responding!

Did you took off the trim while the door was closed since you couldn't open it from the outside or in?
It's been awhile since I did this video. I removed all the trim and screws and then I was able to pry the door panel forward enough to get a hold of the lock rod and pull it up which allowed the door to open. Before I did that the lock rod was sunk down too far to get a hold of it. But you're door could have a different problem than mine so no way to know if that will work for you. But I did post a link in the comments for another video that can help you get your door open.
@LSxMotorsports2021 just to update you. I got it open
That's awesome. If you have any tips that are not in this video I am sure alot of people would appreciate it. Unfortunately this video isn't that helpful for most people with this problem. And thank you for watching and commenting I really appreciate it.
Damn! He’s going to have to run that stretch you showed us in your Camaro before!! Something with less of a slope
He needs alot of things for the car. The injectors were running at 100% duty cycle during all those runs which isn't good.
@ ohhh yeah that’s not good!
At about $200 the Dragy is worth it 👍
It definitely is worth it if you're testing new parts to see if they improve performance.
@@LSxMotorsports2021 It takes quite a bit to knock just one second of stock time.
@ Yes it does for sure.
That gets expensive quickly. Can’t get a good set of tires for these Camaros under $1500 and probably more
Yeah it's a drag radial so needs some heat in it to stick.
Oil filter is located on back right side.
Dam it was invalid🥺
What sucks more is he forgot to video it with the Draggy.
what all has been done to the car?
SLP lid with SSRA, BBK Longtube headers and Speed engineering true dual exhaust, 3:73 gears, and BTR stage 1 cam.
It would be nice to show how you made the changes .
Well I try not to show too much because I really am not qualified to teach tuning because I am still learning myself but in the future I will try to show more. Thanks for watching.
Can I put an lt1 in my 01 firebird?
Well you could but it would be alot of work. I am assuming you have a V6 Firebird. It can be done but most likely cheaper to sell the V6 car and buy a good V8 car.
@ yes it’s a v6 that’s been in my family for a while and I want to restore and upgrade it
OK well it can be done. Easiest way is to find a donor car. Something that runs but has been wrecked or maybe has rust damage so you can get it cheap but still has everything you need to make the V8 swap.
@@LSxMotorsports2021 thanks
This may be a dumb question... but theres 2 power wires... Do they have to be on the correct orientation or it doesnt matter which side you put them on?
No the 2 power wires can go either way but you have to be sure the ground wire is correct.
@LSxMotorsports2021 thanks bud! Helpful video
Thanks for watching and commenting. Really appreciate it.
