I enjoyed your video bro I have. 2016 wrx cvt with catback exhaust tomie to be exact and the Cobb stage 1+ tune I have question after the install should I drive the car around without the new tune just to see the difference. Or should I wait for the pro tune to come would driving without the tune cause engine issues
No smoke. I don’t have the car anymore but when I installed it there was no smoke. Smoke wouldn’t come from the pipe it self, smoke would come from something else like your motor.
No. People keep asking that. It’s not necessary and not recommended. The runs fast and great. Just do the parts and a proper tune and it will run great.
@@guzmansrandomreview i was just asking because having issues with my wrx. Long story short the place I took it looks like they messed up my car, they put it on a safe tune so I only made 14 psi pretty much can’t go pass that but I took it off and now my highest peak is 19.8 so when I try to go pass that the car starts shaking if that makes sense, it stays around 14-17 psi doesn’t wanna go more then that but I force it and most like I said holds 19.8
@@finessejr6202 I would go with a different tuner and maybe take your car to a different mechanic to get it looked at. #clarkturnertuning is really good with e-tunes. I have him listed on several of my videos . Sounds like you got a bad tune and install.
@@AngelFlores-bs9jh if you watched the entire video I stated a couple times that you need a tune after installing the J-pipe. If you haven’t bought an COBB access port first and don’t have a tuner ready after the install, don’t even think about installing this part. Please watch my other videos. I mention it just about every video, you need a tune after every install and for that tune you need to have a tuner and an access port.
Yes! If you are going to do any modifications to the engine you're going to need a Cobb Access port. You are going to need to tune your car after the install.
That never happens. Plus that doesn't do anything to the metal nor does it effect the performance of the product. Also, there are a lot worse things hitting the pipe once on the road.
dude got rando paddle shifters on a cvt... "ima go into manual mode" lololol
Awesome video, informative and entertaining. Making me buy the J-Pipe to go along my Invidia catback :)
I recognize the Ft. Belvoir commissary in the background lol
I gave you a thumbs up kid...nice VA chassis.
LOL I'm too old to be a kid but thanks for the thumbs up.
Was enjoying this video then I realized it was a cvt 🤢
I know right lol
Love it bro don’t stop uploading
Nice man! invidia for life! Ive got the catback so fat can't wait til i get this too but def free flow catted
Is this an automatic wrx?
Do you have an aftermarket BPV installed or is that the stock one we’re hearing the whoosh sounds from?
I have a Perrin BPV installed, I made a video on it. You can find it in my channel.

Don’t drive without the tune first so you don’t damage the transmission.
Did a check engine light come on once you installed it
Any smoke coming out thru the tips after install? Is it a part of the “break in”?
No smoke. I don’t have the car anymore but when I installed it there was no smoke. Smoke wouldn’t come from the pipe it self, smoke would come from something else like your motor.
@@guzmansrandomreview thank you sir!
where did u buy it men? looks awesome
It’s in the description
Do you have a video of you driving from the outside? Great video btw
No but I do have a video with exhaust sounds. You can find it in my channel
CEL comes on with the J-pipe?
What kind if bpv do you have? Do you have an intake paired with it?
GrimmSpeed BPV and a CoBB intake. Don’t forget to get that tune. I made a video on the install. Make sure to check it out.
did you take off the restrcitor pill off?

I just install my invidia R400 and i wanna upgrade my downpipe do I need the adapter? Or not?
The answer is at the 2 minute mark.
Nice did you keep the stock exhaust right?
Yes I did.
Will it pass smog emissions in California?
Probably not. California has these most strict rules in the U.S.
Do you need the adapter for the stock exhaust
Yes
Did you also remove the restrictor pill?
@@Blickedd. that part has nothing to do with this install but no I didn’t.
what pipe do you have in your subaru cvt
No EWG on that?
Nope
I’m running a big af intake with an invidia exhaust I was wondering what tune do you need to go stage 2
You have to talk with a tuner about that.
Which tune did you used for the invidia jpipe
@@Misakihead Watch the video. I tell who I used. You’ll need to talk to tuner.
If I install the j pipe do I need a cobe system ?
So you mean CoBB access port? If so yes. You’ll need a tune after you install the J-pipe.
@@guzmansrandomreview soo I would need to install a Cobb acces port ?

No
ANY CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS BEFORE THE TUNE?

How much horses are you pushing with the jpipe?
About 277hp.
@@guzmansrandomreview is that with the air intake plus the jpipe?
@@guzmansrandomreview i thought you be close to 290.
@@smackarooni4359 Yes as of this video.

Did you remove the restrictor pill?
That questions has been asked. Read through the comments.
Does the J pipe require insulation?
Nope
How much power can the CVT handle?
About 300hp and 300tq
I like the sound but hate that its on an automatic car
Shouldn’t have put your bare hands on the pipe. Now all those hand marks are going to burn into the pipe

That sounds horrible
Is he driving an auto?!?
Ewwww a cvt
Cvt? 🤮
Is this with the stock exhaust? just a j pipe to exhaust?
