Great video so happy I found your channel. I'm putting a deposit on a MY19 STI tomorrow and I will be getting MSR to tune it. Trying to find info on power figures for a tune to fit my budget is crazy with every tuner saying something different. Keep the videos coming and enjoy the rex
Thanks for watching mate! So great to hear about your upcoming STI. I definitely do recommend MSR (not sponsored by them in any way), Michael and the team knows his stuff. I think you can push out about 190kw atw with a full turboback with the sti! But send Michael at MSR an email, he'll be able to tell you everything.

Yeah its been on ever since mate, been performing perfectly since. It was extremely droney between 2500-3500 rpm, my ears felt like they were bleeding. Ripped out the R400, now have the Q300 and don't miss the R400 at all. Yes I think the ELH could be next.
8:29 you can hear a rattle noice or idk when you start the car I have that save issue here , when going around 2-3k rpm it makes that exact same sound ? Any ideas why ? or did you fin a fix for it ?
Hey mate. I only ever hear that rattle on the start up - probably just some cold metals vibrating and shaking from the cold start. The only thing I hear between 2k-3k rpm is the disgusting drone. Thanks for watching!
No idea mate, maybe there's a different metric or variable on this dyno. It defs feels a lot torqueier than other tuned WRXs but I'm not sure it feels 600nm torquey 😂 The rods give out if you push the torque down low in the rev range. Mid or high up in the range its not as bad.
@@MrDuongTV1 appreciate the reply, I’ve enjoyed your channel for ages and helped me to decide on the WRX 👍🏻 mine was on a dyno dynamics at Got it Rex in Melbourne, btw in the R400 vs Q 300 vid where you talk about the drone did you have the back seats down as I found it unbearable like that and totally fine with them up?
Cheers mate! GIR seem very reputable, a lot of ppl from all over australia send their subarus down there! Nah I had seats up and even then the drone hit me. Initially it didn't but after about a year, yeah started to hit.
Love the channel mate! I just had my downpipe fitted recently and I’m curious about the intake change… Did you go back to factory intake? I love the turbo induction sound I get from my process west intake but the whistle on your car sounds amazing!
Thanks mate! Appreciate the comment. Yup I went back to the factory intake. I had the Mishimoto intake which sounded hectic, but apparently wasn't the best design. Michael at MSR recommended the process west intake as well; apparently its designed really well. The stock intake actually already does a really good job. I started to get tired of the intake sound after awhile because it would kick in when I was driving home tired haha. I definitely do appreciate the turbo whistle, it really disappears when I'm on the gas going on boost though so it would definitely be buried with an intake.
@@MrDuongTV1 ok great I will keep that in mind if the intake sound gets old… All my mods are done on a Cobb OTS tune so I might have to check out MSR for a pro tune at some point.

Mate your boost pressure is absolutely tanking at end of that dyno pull. You're almost down to 10psi - I don't think it should be like that.
