      They are a good 110 unit. Great insulation and a very reputable company.

    Trying to decide between Hot Springs and Master Spa brand. Is corrosion a problem with a saltwater system? Master Spa told me their mineral system is superior. Any thoughts?

      Salt all the way. If you have a hot tub that is built for a salt system it will not corode. If you add salt to a tub that doesn't have a 24 hour circulation pump or a titanium heater you are asking for problems. The most importat thing to decide when it comes to buying a hot tub is do you like the dealer you are buying the tub from. They are the ones that have to take care of you when you have problems and if they tell you somehting they should stand behind their product. Do your homework on the dealer first. You will love being a hot tub owner!!

      NEVER get a Hot Springs...speaking from experience with a Hot Springs Jettsetter that sits dead on my screened in porch has been a nightmare. MasterSpa's are good but at a great price point is CalSpa's which are also 100% American Made with the best selling Balboa system, glued & clamped plumbing lines and efficient energy saving insulation.

    We are looking at a Platinum spas hot tub. Is that a good value brand?

    What do you think about the Bullfrog hot tubs sold by (Costellos) AKA Ace hardware

    • @TheHotTubLady
      @TheHotTubLady  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Wasn’t aware that they were selling them…. It is a week built tub. I am not a fan of the exchangeable pacs as no one ever upgrades. And well it’s just one more place for mold and bacteria to grow because no one cleans behind them. As I always say your dealer and the support you get is more important then the brand if you trust the dealer and you have a good relationship you will be fine

    I have a Hot Springs Jetsetter and it has been nothing but problems. Now it is leaking and to hire the repair person to come out, I was quoted $2,500 because he would have to saw out all the sprayed in foam to search for the leak which meant hours of labor time. Foam filled hot tubs are a nightmare to service. I am now looking at Arctic Spa's. Any input on those? I never want a foam filled hot tub again because of the repair/servicing issues.

      I am sorry you are having bad luck. I would maybe check out a Caldera with the Fibercore insulation. You can shop vac out the insulation, fix the leak and put it back in. Ease of repair without sacrificing anything on your energy bill

    What do you think of Maple Hot Tubs from Canada? Looking to purchase the M-820 - looking for your thoughts.

      Unfortunaltely that is a brand that I am not familar with. Ther number one thing to consider when buying a hot tub is how well you like your dealer. If you trust your dealer you are probaly in a good spot.

      Artic is a good brand. If you like the dealer you should be fine

      Arctic Spa's have China Made Parts and you are at their mercy with high cost parts & repair prices. Hope you never have to have a repair plus they are known for leaks.

    Any thoughts on the brand vita? I’m looking at the envie model.

    • @TheHotTubLady
      @TheHotTubLady  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Vita is an ok brand. I don’t have a ton of experience with with it. Make sure you do your homework and the most important decision when purchasing the hot tub is the dealer. Do you like them do you trust them will they be there for you when you need help

    • @currytoys
      @currytoys หลายเดือนก่อน

      They are budget spa's with low energy efficiency. I recommend CalSpa's which is American made with no propriety parts, glued & clamped plumbing lines, Balboa system with parts easily available, Energy efficient and easy to service with NO hardened blown in insulation. They have perimeter insulation.

    I have a local Sundance dealer in my area and looking at the Hamilton 780 series. It has a lounger and two corner seats. It’s very nice but it’s also 16,000 dollars. Is this too expensive and overpriced? Or do you get what you pay for? Why would I spend that kind of money when they’re are lesser models out there? Number of jets? Reliability? I want to buy one that lasts 15 years and has parts available and has a great track record.

    • @TheHotTubLady
      @TheHotTubLady  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      you kind of answerd your own questions here. Sundance is a good brand and that price seems very fair to me. You do get what you pay for .... the sundance is fully insulated. Parts availability is a huge deal and Sundance is usually pretty good about keeping parts around for awhile. Warranty is another reason Sundance has a good warranty. I would always encourage you to check out your Local Caldera or Hot Springs dealer as well.

      @TheHotTubLady  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Ther are other options then chlorine but sanitizer is important when purchasing a hot tub.
