    Hi Flora and Note that was the most interesting spa I’ve ever seen..I like the casual atmosphere and everyone in their robe does kinda seem like a very relaxing community. The food was great and all the areas you can relax is just amazing. You can eat, sleep, play games and get a massage all in one place. Wow you folks really like your meat, no lagging in the appetite area. I liked the brief karaoke clip wish I could have heard more,Flora you have a nice voice..as well as Note ..the harmony was great. Good to see you folks just relaxing and not worrying about getting all the details of everywhere you go..That fruit display probably had every fruit on the planet there..Can’t wait to see more! Aloha.

      This kind of spa is common in China, this one is one of the excellent ones, most of the others are not as big or provide as much but they are much cheaper, less than half this price. This one is excellent value for the money, there are more expensive spas but not all of them are as good as this one, just the foods alone are worth the money.

    Locals usually take shower first, then hot spring for different tempreture, then shower again, then bursh teeth and blow dry the hair then get dressed then enjoy food and games and mid night for massage and sleep on a public massage chair or private massageroom then goto work next day.

      I once booked a spa + Roman bath in Vegas Caesar Palace. It was 300 USD, back in 2014...... can’t imagine the price now with the inflation. And it was a 2 hour massage session and I could arrive one hour early for the bath, with no food, limited selection of drinks. And in this video this is a form of NE China bathhouse but with more ummm, user friendly lol. Normally they’d charge you for drinks in NE China. Yet the entry fee and massages there are cheaper than here in ChengDu, like half of the price. So it’s a gain and loss thing lol

    I was in Beijing a few years ago. One day, it was raining and cold outside. I called up a friend from Beijing but live in the US. I ask him for advice what to do in a raining day in Beijing. He recommended me to go to a spa that was very similar to this one and was even more grandiose decorated. It costed $40 USD for up to 12 hrs stay. It including a very good buffet with so many variety of dishes. There is a library, a gym, resting area, and massage parlors (with extra payment).

    Those big spas/bathhouses in many Chinese cities are very nice and a must visit. By comparison, the Spa Castle in NYC costs around $100 per person to enter. Food/drinks are extra. Most importantly, spas/bathhouses in the US just can’t be compared to spas in China in term of scale, luxury, and value for the money………my guess is that they are just too expensive to operate for all the reasons you can imagine (a few lawsuits the owner is done) and the price would attract no customers if such bathhouse is opened anywhere within the US……….sad…..

      The infratructure of spas are top-notch in the Northeast area but too many ppl there don't follow the basic spa etiquettes, like taking cell phones in nude area, smoking in non-smoking areas and talking very loud. It's a lot better in spas in more economcially developped areas, like Shanghai and Shenzhen.

      @@edwinhuang803You may not have experienced one of the newer establishments yet, but I think you’d be pleasantly surprised-people are generally much better behaved than you might expect. I visited one earlier this year in Dalian, and none of the issues you mentioned were present. While people do use their phones throughout the space, there’s no photo-taking in nude areas; the staff are highly vigilant about maintaining privacy.

      @@zhuluxurylifestyle9381 That's my personal experience in a couple of cities in that area a couple of years back. There's actually different tiered all inclusive lifestyle spas in every big city in china !!
    The more you pay , the better the selection of foods, snacks and entertainment and lounge areas .
    For example the 899 to 1299 to 1599 will have lobsters, foie gras, sharks fins , wagyu , caviar and even alcohol !
    Rule to remember to always book your massage and spa slot once u get in before the crowd comes in and 9 to 12 pm is usually the peak hours for people to book after their buffets then they will have a late night snack or meal then crash and check out in the morning !!

    OMG. This looks so great. I'll be Cheungdu in few weeks. Do they have this or similar in other cities as well (Chongqing, Shenzhen, Shanghai ...etc.)? Also, is there an area I can leave my luggage (one carry on) - like front area or bigger locker so I can be there and go to the airport after spa? Also, what is their business hours?

    • @EvaHappyweirdoinShanghai
      @EvaHappyweirdoinShanghai 11 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

      Yes every city has this kind of spas. Mostly running 24hours which means you could sleep overnight there. According to the luggage you may have to check with them.

      @@EvaHappyweirdoinShanghai Is it typical for Chinese spas to be all inclusive with so much food options? And are there usually vegetarian food selections?

    • @EvaHappyweirdoinShanghai
      @EvaHappyweirdoinShanghai 9 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@tgen744 We also have traditional spas here but yes this kind of spas is a trend. They can be easily found in every big city. Food option is rich so vegetarian could also have a good meal. And you can also choose less expensive ones with only drink/fruit included. I think everyone can find their own preference here.

    • @xueshang1035

      Most of these SPAs running 24/7, but you might wanna double check if they are allowed foreigners to stay overnight. In China hotels require special licenses to take in foreigners.
      Also I would say always look for a newer facility, some SPAs don’t really have many entertainment options like this one

    How does we chat work for scanning? In Australia I hv a new Chinese restaurant I want to go to and you can only scan the menu to pay and order. Out the front was a wechat barcode/symbol on the windows. Have never used it before!

    • @FloraandNote
      @FloraandNote  12 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      I think more and more restaurants in Asia use scan menus. You either use your phone camera to scan or if they have WeChat/AliPay logo then you use the app to scan. But if you aren’t sure, just ask for a menu or they can help you with the app. I’m sure lots of people are still adjusting to it so no need to be nervous.
