I don't know how many of you got this, but "the Caller" is probably Nyarlathothep. "The Great Calling" is calling out to Lovecraftian deities. Track 86 has wooden wind instruments, which sounds a lot like the pipe music that plays to keep Azathoth asleep. The caller is even said to become sleepy as it goes on, so it has an effect of putting old gods to sleep, though it probably affects Azathoth more and this is a side effect for Nyarlathothep. However, plot hole: Why would the Caller protect the DJ with his own rule of not opening the door for 2 knocks (seeing as he wrote the rules)? Maybe he was toying with him and just wanted to test him instead of killing him? Also, if my theory is true, wouldn't playing church music be dangerous for possibly awakening Azathoth?

I l8ve these stories. This one reminds me of, I think it was a twilight zone episode. Artie Johnson was the DJ in a station similar to this one. He didn't make it out of the station.
To be honest if you are used to hecklers, all you need is some nice drapes to cover the window, cover them peep holes, and add some doorstops to make it less impulsive to open the door, and problem solved. Not like Goat-Boy is actually gonna bust down that door, and after a while, he might provide some interesting conversation.
WoW that was spooky!!! You included on of my biggest fears, the electricity ⚡️!!! I’ve been zapped more than once or even thrice, from poorly grounded metal lamp posts to working on 100+ year old houses rerunning wires after someone who didn’t know what they were doing and somehow had 2 live feeds and managed not to burn the house down (still can’t figure that one out), to why I hate metal boxes. And why I’m so grateful my first Husband wasn’t as afraid as me when we ran new wires in a house where there didn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason to why there different types of wire running from one outlet to the next!!! Ouch 🤕!!! You really got me there!!! Thank You for such a really great story!!! ♥️♥️♥️😊

Most of the time, yes.
I l8ve these stories. This one reminds me of, I think it was a twilight zone episode. Artie Johnson was the DJ in a station similar to this one. He didn't make it out of the station.
This is the first time i find one of these stories actually unsettling. The background music/ sound effects, surely helped with that. Bravo.
“the midnight record” sounds like something from a story I just heard, the main character had to work a booth at night to let people in
It sounded familiar but I couldn't place it & what makes it bad is I just listened to it. 🙂 🤷🏻♀️
@@VanneMichel prob the previous toll booth story
Yay Lighthouse!!! TY!
Part 508 of thanking the lighthouse horror for the amazing narrations
Thanks for another another fantastic video Stephen 🙂
Terrific thriller! Thank you...😳⚘️🙋♀️
I always get happy when Lighthouse Horror post a new story. My favorite narrator ❤
Just in time for supper my dude
Food + listening to TH-cam = ❤
Great way to end the weekend
21:00 seriously 😐 freaken hippies 💀
Great stuff!
LIGHT HOUSE HORROR TEAM, THANK YOU FOR THE TALE!
🔥📏📻🗿👊😎🗿📻📏🔥
I discovered this channel 2 days ago, and binging episodes ever since. I work in Radio on air, so this one hit different, especially since my career began as an overnight DJ!
So this was the station mentioned in the Toll Booth story, right? I remembered the rule where the symbols need to be traced as the Midnight Record is playing. Interesting!
Also, I wonder if Ben returned the next shift and just played the worship songs to prevent all the evil stuff from happening?
As usual, thanks for the amazing narration, LH! 😊
This is chilling, especially the implications on the ending. 8/10
Holy crap! I just noticed the goat demon in the window lol. This was excellent! Great job LH Team 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼😊
Always here for a lighthouse story!
15:00 "Nice, isn't it?" That is delivered so well, I can't even begin to describe the chills it gave me. 😂
This was really good. I kept thinking how this would end. You're truly a very good storyteller, I can't wait for the next one. Sometimes, I go back and listen to some of your older stories just to relax. Your voice is very interesting. One can almost picture the stories you are telling. Thank you so much.
As a breeder of goats, I totally believe the part about the goat. I have several that smile, and they can be downright evil bastards. Lol
Perfect timing
Love it when the stories are linked to other stories!
Yayyyyy perfect timing
WOW, I've listened to your stories for 2 or 3 yrs now, Your my favorite. This story really moved me, Thank You!!!❤
Trippy story, man, I was screaming, "Don't play the goodbye song!!," cuz I thought it'd be goodbye for him! 😆
I just listened to the Toll Booth video yesterday, my first time listening to vids from this channel and I geeked when the beginning said "Radio Harmony" there's LORE and it's giving Magnus Archives vibes and I can't wait to binge more stories 😍
i love how cheerful it was at the end. XD see ya tomorrow!
Very happy for once to see rules that don’t immediately scream “RUN AWAY!” Like, just a few quirky things that make total sense for a new employee-don’t forget the midnight record or sign off song, but twist into something else once it’s too late to get away.
bro connected the Toll Station story so well! i remember that old radio trope. very well written.
Even in horror stories, God prevails over evil. Well done, Lighthouse, keep it up. 😎✝️
Looking forward to this....i love rule based stories! 💯
Hey lighthouse,
First time caller here. Love your radio station, definitely gonna start listening to it
Working on a spooky D&D campaign and youve given me inspiration. Prolly gonna have to listen to all your videos now
that was fantastic! ❤
YAAAY!! Just in time for bed! 👏❤️
EXCELLENT, that was 😊. Thx✌️
I like how your “shtick” to differentiate yourself from the other narrators is having yourself on camera while narrating, giving off a classic storyteller vibe in the process. Keep up the good work, Stephen. 😊
I appreciate that thank you Jolis
I really enjoy the abundance of these survival rules theme stories that you’re coming out with lately but I do wish they were longer…. !!
Also Lighthouse I hope you know but we are long due for one of your hour plus time length uploads😅
Scary story! Geez!!!
Wasn’t “Harmony” the radio station in the story a few weeks ago about the tollbooth?
Still sounds a million times better than my job and most likely pays better. Where can I apply?
I am so glad to have can across this channel it's so different from anything else I have listened to, the stories are very well written with a great narrator.
Thanks your new subscriber.👌
I just found you yesterday, and I’m obsessed!! All your stories I’ve watched so far are crazy great! Glad you popped up on my page!😊🔥
I really do love the "list of rules" stories. Please keep them coming ❤
Having to choose between being trampled by smiling goats or listening to gospel music nonstop through my shift... man no matter how good the pay my ass is quitting
The only reason I caught the connection to the toll-booth story was because this was the story I listened to right after that one lol
The easter eggs from the toll-booth story is that Radio Harmony was mentioned, and in this story, the song called Midnight Record played at, well, midnight!
Loved the demon caller guys voice. Reminded me of the green goblin from spiderman. 😊
Great job as usual!❤
Love these “rule” stories! I’m only half way through but I wonder if this author was inspired by Wedningus’ “Accounts from a Lonely Broadcast Station”
Love your horror stories
