Always love when these stories have happy endings! The one line, "So I adopted her," was like an instant dopamine rush that immediately had me smiling. Fantastic story!!
This is what every horror story protagonist should do. If a mythical being is on your side just accept it with open arms, I liked the more realistic ending, you should narrate more of these kinds of stories.
This reminds me of when my ex still best friend and I got one of our last dogs who was a black lab/pitty who didn’t speak a sound for first 3 months then one evening someone knocks on our door she jumps off the couch ferociously barking making us jump lol. Right now I’m working on characters for a series of short stories and this is a great idea for an addition!!!
You could narrate a clerk bagging groceries and make it the most anxious and nervous experience. “The lady wanted to use a coupon, I told her we don’t except those anymore.” She wanted to see the manager. I said: “I am the manager.” She just stared at me. Giving me a growl, then, a loud Rrrreeeeee came from her mouth.” Lol, I truly love your videos. Keep up the amazing content.
...And there came this unfathomable smell i've ever encountered along with a twisted, wrinkled arm pushing a ten dollar bill towards me. I startled and looked upwards to that thing to whom that arm belonged. His eyes was almost white, clouded like spoonful of flour in a waterglass. And the mouth, there were these blackish brown teeth, only no too many left of them. Then again that sickening smell blew towards my face like a storm almost knocking me off my seat as he started asking a pack of camels. - "Don't do meth", he growled. And I have ever since done it!
My previous dog, a finnish lapphund, acted just like that! She would look at me like; hey hooman, are you stoopid? She was really smart, almost arrogant, self-confident and independent, she didn't play with toys, she dug holes.. I always joked that she was actually a grumpy grandma in a dog suit 😂❤
I also have a dog like that. He's a big 220 lb Cane Corso who thinks he is a lap dog, but, as long as he and the Grandkids are on our property... if anyone he doesn't know approaches any of my Grandkids, he will put himself between that person and my Grandkids. He will stay like that until either... the person leaves or I tell him it is ok, if the person keeps coming closer, you'll hear a warning growl, keep coming, then he will bark, growl and snarl... once people see his teeth they always back off. No, nobody has been stupid enough to push him further, and yes, he will attack if pushed passed that point. He's fine if other kids approach or, we are on a walk or playing at the park. However, he is still extremely vigilant. Took 18 months of specialized training with ongoing refreshers 😊
Did not expect that ending, I must say! I liked it more than I thought I would. Mad props for having the balls to take her home, for sure. I was really hoping they wouldn’t put her down or just let her escape. Nice job ☺️
Love the idea of a skin walker being bored enough to get captured by a human and just see what happens and or being like a person going to a processing plant like “I eat them I should see how they have to live”

Or it may be demon possessed. I knew one very, very well. He was such a beautiful man...with such a horrifying demon inside him that would pop out or take him over. Once I was at a daytime party at the ex's longtime girlfriend off and on. I was so embarrassed for him as he was running around everywhere among our friends and party goers on all fours, then I saw that his legs were bent backwards as a dogs might be. It was the demon visible, but I guess I was the only one that could see it. I told him to stop he was making a fool of himself and he just laughed horribly at me and kept running. I was disgusted and wanted to leave, but was with friends and had no way to leave. He later shyly came up to me and apologized. I told him to leave me alone. It had been a long time since I broke it off with him. It took a long time to get him to stop talking over my radios or banging on the walls when I was home alone. I would simply call out to Jesus and sit huddled up with my Bible. Never take someone or anything else for granted as being what they seem. True story, not made up.
This is one of the better stories on your channel. The twist at the end was even foreshadowed multiple times - Lucy was described to be intelligent and instilled fear in others, but she had always just observed them, implying a conscious choice not to attack. Even when ransacking the shop, she only tore up the food bags, and did not hurt any of the other animals. At that point, I knew she would turn out to be benevolent.
I love these stories where the creature is the protector. I believe many of the "bad"monsters just got tired of failing to get people to give them a chance, fell into depression and became the monster in a "f it, fine, I'll be the monster!"
I believe similar... I had an experience with something I can't quite figure out, a skin walker/wendigo thing that appeared to me in my dreams when I was digging too much into that stuff. But it didn't feel dangerous, just curious.
Nah, they have intelligence but we can't truly commin8that way. Although sometimes my sisters dog does seem spacious in her mind lol they get bored around the house 😅
Real. I’ve tried to give my boy the benefit of the doubt, but the amount of times I’ve had to stop him from doing just the most brainless activities, I’m fairly certain there isn’t anything knocking around up there. (Brainless activities include: sneezing so hard he hits his head on the floor, trying to get into the very-much-in-use oven, not noticing the gate being wide open even though he loves to try and escape, not noticing tree branches hurdling towards him while my family does yard work, and much, much more.)
@@cylyte2436 Even more empty headed than mine! They just stare off into space blankly, the boy barks at anything that moves and the girl will tackle anyone she sees in an attempt to lick their face and mark them as a friend. Oh yeah, and she also sits on his head and steals his food and treats.
I love Lucy 😂. Her description, minus the eyes, sounds exactly like a hybrid I had once. I met her 3 years prior, on a country road and she tried to follow me home. I had to take her back to a house I suspected was hers. Fast forwarding, I saw her again at the local animal control. I all but ran to adopt her. When she saw me she tugged at the leash and hugged me. Yes, literally hugged me. The officer said she was timid and never acted like that. She was mine but she was dangerously protective over me. She wouldn't play, take treats, or do those normal dog things, but being a hybrid, I get it.

It’s amazing that Lucy knows that the owner knows she’s a monster, she only sticks around because Skinwalkers follow vampire rules, in some cases the only way for a skinwalker enter a house is if they’re invited in. Most cases Skinwalkers kill whomever they see but for Lucy she protects the owner because he offers her Food, shelter and exercise, making it stronger. Edit: my mistake I thought Skinwalkers follow Vampire rules. cuz in some stories it was said to not allow a skinwalker into your home?
Damn if people are thinking skinwalkers follow vampire rules, then the media has really basterdized them. You have no idea what you're talking about lol
The comments already stated what I was gonna say. Skinwalkers are said to be multiple things, but they Do NOT follow any kind of rules like vampires in mythology.
@sergeantsonso3490 Incorrect, Skin walkers derive from Native American Folklore, similar to wendigos, but are said to be shamans who can transform into animals.
I love heartwarming stories like this! Ok, maybe not heartwarming but you know, stories where deadly creatures end up protecting the MCs.. Seems like Lucy is living her life (in ways creatures like her know how to) and that's that.. 😊
Beginning to have a new love for these "store" stories. Really takes me back to the days when I worked the night-shift in retail. It takes me there. Really cool man, thanks Mr Lighthouse!
Spoiler alert ----- if you do not want to know too early pass this by That would be awesome, to be trusted and protected by your own best friend skinwalker.

This story about Lucy is so intriguing! It's amazing how dogs can have such unique personalities. The mysterious events at the pet store had me on the edge of my seat!
This is the story I didn't know I needed. It also reminds me of my latest adopted dog in so many ways. Needless to say I would of gave Lucy a home if she would of let me😊❤

Best story of the week! I love dogs! And who wouldn't love to have your very own monster mutt!! You did such a great job on this story!! I can't wait for the next one!
I really think I'd be nice if this story where to be continued much as many magazines and graphic novels that I used to enjoy. I truly think it would be fine to see what Lucy and her new pay get into.
My daughter suggested the idea that our German Shepherd was a skinwalker. We adopted him at a year old from a family that couldn't keep him. A week later, he figured out how to turn door knobs. We're now careful what we do in front of him so he doesn't learn something we don't want him to know.
@@aliway4136 If you are really Native American, then you're a poor excuse claiming THIS is part of the legends of your people. This skinwalker is a modern creation and only very roughly connected to real skinwalker legends. It's like a Romanian getting upset over someone making a joke about a a vampire from the Twilight Series.
Bruhhh dont say thatt 😩 my german shepherd also capable to open the door handles, every night she came into my bedroom by herself and jump sleeping on my bed with me, she can also pick up my home telephone when its ringing but i'm sure shes not a skinwalkerr 😅😅 Edit: but even IF she is a skinwalker, i dont care, shes nice to me lol

Love the ending, great story I'm glad you're putting out more material it's exciting to me when I see that you put another story keep up the great work.
I love these stories, I saw a similar one on r/nosleep about a chihuahua who was adopted by a couple. He acted strange, similar to lucy. All the other dogs barked at him, even dogs that were normally quiet. One night, the guy was home alone. People broke in. The chihuahua came running and turned into a big monster, and ate them. Turns out, he was the void. He literally WAS eternity. So, he spent the rest of his owner's lives protecting them and their family. Stories like those are absolutely the best
That dog (skinwalker/eldrich abomination/whatever) is living a good life with her Fornow Home, and who could blame her? The original dogs decided that humans were ok to be around because we helped them hunt and raise their young in a more secure environment, so who's to say this creature doesn't like the perks too?
Great story. I haven't hurd one that good in a long time. All creatures can become your unexpected friends. Even aggressive wild dog's you feed table scrap's to.
This was a great story. Now, just imagine not only having Lucy but also the Chihuahua from the other story? (sorry, I can't remember the Chihuahuas' name) 2 dogs that freak all other dogs out, 2 dogs that will just stare at you and, 2 dogs that will turn anyone who threatens you into kibble 😂
Now this is the kind of companion you would want to have. A protector, a friend, a pet. As long as you give her the basic necessities to live, she would protect you for life. I think I've watched a movie before with the same ability as Lucy's. But it was an alien not a supernatural being. 😅😅
"Lucy" would be the ideal companion/service animal for a disabled or elderly individual who needed a patient listener to talk to, a friend willing to hear their stories, to remind them to take their medication, to accompany them to the store and deter thieves and bullies from inflicting cruel mischief on a vulnerable victim. The world needs more creatures like Lucy! Of all Lighthouse Horror's spooky tales this has to be my favorite.
Best narrator on TH-cam, well done. Lighthouse, I hope you and your family are having a great year. Thanks again for all your hard work, much appreciated. Be well and take care.
My other favorite is NaturesTempur. Lighthouse is really good for "someone telling you a story", NaturesTempur is more of a one man full voice cast. Both are great in different ways.
Definitely. I definitely would have done the same thing personally if I was in that guys shoes. Guess that would be a whole new meaning to I love Lucy.🖤
Thank you Stephen for another awesome pasta. This definitely made my morning. Top notch work as always, and I definitely loved this one. This one really warmed my heart. Thank you for putting top notch quality in everything you do.🖤🖤🖤🖤
My dog Annie had something quite odd about her. Her eyes were human, she understood everything we said. She freaked out more than one friend. Lucy however is on a whole different level. Great story!! Ty!
Lucy chose him she showed that in the fact she protected him, all she had to do was show her true form and watch as the stupid human ran away screaming then revert back to dog form to comfort her human. I'd say he is her pet rather then the otherway round. Best guard dog ever. Everyone saying they want a SW of their own I think it's more about them finding you, however becareful what you wish for as their not all like her. Their not all going to transform and scar away would be attackers. I noticed in other SW stories they would mimic human speach however she remained in her dog form she never mimiced human or other animal speach even though she is inteligent enough to do so she chose to remain as her dog self meaning she isnt like other SW maybe she wont leave him to go back to the woods. She has warmth, food and someone who knows what she is but isnt scared of her and can live happily with a creature which could take down a bear without breaking a sweat. Why am i now picturing them going on hikes in the woods and coming across a bear and rather then he running from the bear the bear runs from Lucy. As i said best guard dog ever.
I love these wholesome ending stories of monsters being just the sweetest babies. This is why we need more stories of these big oogey boogey things being just sweet beans and caring for those who care for them without remorse.
I read a comment a couple of weeks ago where the person said these stories would be better if the story teller stayed off camera. I have something to say about that. Have you ever sat by a campfire listening to stories being told? Been at home with friends, telling stories? You've been in the company of the story teller in those cases, so what is the difference here, just because you're listening to stories being told on video? The guy tells great stories. I've enjoyed every one of them so far. So let him keep doing his thing, his way.
I grew up in Ohio. I can tell you the woods of Ohio might look just like the woods everywhere else but parts of the woods are not, there's something different out there. Something just wrong, you can feel it.
Woods I'm referring to are east of Cincinnati. As kids we always heard rumors about Satan worship. We would find odd stuff spray painted in most of the little caves we found, but we assumed it was older stupid teens. We would basically live outside during the summer but we were always always always out of the woods before dark. I could ignore the feeling if I was out there with friends but when out there alone if would not just feel like you were being watched but as if someone was standing 2 feet behind you.
@desiirwin7714 ... I'll let you fill in the blanks It has to do with Big Foot and maybe dog men having a truce with Native Americans before the latter were "relocated" to make room for settlers. The BF AND DM are now free to spread wherever they want to.
I'm an animal lover through and through. Love this story, my favorite line was 'I adopted her,' was such a bright sunshine moment. I think the story teller made the right decision, Lucy liked him from the start,, and they made a wonderful pair. I wouldn't mind have a Lucy myself! But, so far I'm very happy with my sweet Samantha (Norwegian Forest cat, and a little skinwalker in her own ways).
Very cute story! I had a feeling that guy would adopt Lucy. Definitely keep anyone safe! I want one!!! I think Lucy is happy for now! If she wanted to leave and never come back that's her prerogative, and yet she would be dearly missed. I loved this one.
I love those types of stories. The monster turned out protective over the main character and that s somehow one of the sweetest things out there.

Skinwalkers do not follow vampire rules 😂 dude come on
Damn if people are thinking skinwalkers follow vampire rules, then the media has really basterdized them. You have no idea what you're talking about lol
The comments already stated what I was gonna say. Skinwalkers are said to be multiple things, but they Do NOT follow any kind of rules like vampires in mythology.
Skinwalkers are as diverse and varied as are people.
I am super happy that the MC took Lucy home....I was hoping he would!!🥰
Love your videos. Can't get enough of how you narrate
I love listening to creepypasta , he has a special voice just for this. Love seeing him in person
Beginning to have a new love for these "store" stories. Really takes me back to the days when I worked the night-shift in retail. It takes me there. Really cool man, thanks Mr Lighthouse!
Spoiler alert ----- if you do not want to know too early pass this by
That would be awesome, to be trusted and protected by your own best friend skinwalker.
Right, imagine just being trusted by what is arguably one of the strongest and most dangerous cryptids out there, enough that they are willing to just chill with you
@@voidwalker3919they’re supposed to be evil witches tho.
Wasn't this concept a supernatural episode?
@@Tomaharayou talking about the familiar with the witch episode? Or the shape-shifter posing as a family dog episode
@@calvinsimpson1301 shapeshifter family dog seems more in line with the story. The familliar was more...well a witch with a magical let. The guy posing as the girl's dog seems to match more
Excellent video many thanks lighthouse 😎👍
This story about Lucy is so intriguing! It's amazing how dogs can have such unique personalities. The mysterious events at the pet store had me on the edge of my seat!
I loved it! Simply loved this story. Every lifeform deserves respect and understanding.
As usual, grand narration or, if you prefer it, Storytelling.
This is the story I didn't know I needed. It also reminds me of my latest adopted dog in so many ways. Needless to say I would of gave Lucy a home if she would of let me😊❤
Really liked this one being a dog lover. I like when the "monsters" become protectors!
This was a really cool story. I would like to have a dog like Lucy. I would never have to worry about going out at night for a walk with her. Thank you for a really awesome story. Please keep coming up with these amazing stories.
I could listen to your voice 24/7.. very soothing 😊
I had a feeling about this ending. Guys braver than I could ever be.
I'd almost feel safer with this dog than a normal one. If she's intelligent and malevolent like that, she's had plenty of chance to kill him.
Instructions unclear. Accidentally adopted 3 shapeshifters
The fact that the dog wouldn't go near the graveyard was the big glue as to what it truly is.
Can't wait for another story to end a nice day out!
My daughter suggested the idea that our German Shepherd was a skinwalker. We adopted him at a year old from a family that couldn't keep him. A week later, he figured out how to turn door knobs. We're now careful what we do in front of him so he doesn't learn something we don't want him to know.
Please stop. Your dog is not a damn skinwalker. These are the stories and legends of MY ancestors. Not a ridiculous joke!!
@russiannpcbot6408 your dog isn't a skinwalker they shape-shift and they are very dangerous stop making lame stories
Bruhhh dont say thatt 😩 my german shepherd also capable to open the door handles, every night she came into my bedroom by herself and jump sleeping on my bed with me, she can also pick up my home telephone when its ringing but i'm sure shes not a skinwalkerr 😅😅
Edit: but even IF she is a skinwalker, i dont care, shes nice to me lol
@@russiannpcbot6408 excuse me? This is the DUMBEST response I have ever seen. 🤦 You are not that bright and it shows 🤣🤣
Awesome story!! I hope the author will continue stories about Lucy and her unique 🤔 talents! Thanks for sharing this and you’re the best at narration, too. ❤
Great little story. I love stories like this and you've read several good pet like stories... It's always a pleasure Lighthouse, Thank You!
This dog stands 4 foot tall and his head is the size of 3 full grown men's head... Love him 💖
Perfect night for some lighthouse 😊
always a perfect night for some lighthouse, eh?
Not every night, today was a good day tho
Love the ending, great story I'm glad you're putting out more material it's exciting to me when I see that you put another story keep up the great work.
What an awesome story with amazing narration, really enjoyed this one!
Would love to hear more of their adventures… a new cryptid fighting team…
The one thing I was hoping for at the end. That the MC adopted Lucy. I was like, "Yes!" 😅
Excellent story. Not always the biggest fan of the skinwalker subgenre, but this one was very creative.
Yes thank you lighthouse horror your amazing!!!
It's nice to hear a more positive skinwalker story
This was a great story. Now, just imagine not only having Lucy but also the Chihuahua from the other story? (sorry, I can't remember the Chihuahuas' name) 2 dogs that freak all other dogs out, 2 dogs that will just stare at you and, 2 dogs that will turn anyone who threatens you into kibble 😂
Hot damn, this is a good one! Thank you Stephen & team! 🔥👊😎🔥
Now this is the kind of companion you would want to have. A protector, a friend, a pet. As long as you give her the basic necessities to live, she would protect you for life. I think I've watched a movie before with the same ability as Lucy's. But it was an alien not a supernatural being. 😅😅
Awesome!!! This is going to be good! ❤️❤️❤️
She loves you and trust you , thank you for loving her
I love cryptid stories. Definitely one of my favorite type of creepypastas
[SPOILER WARNING]
Love that the narrator adopted Lucy - great ending!
Definitely. I definitely would have done the same thing personally if I was in that guys shoes. Guess that would be a whole new meaning to I love Lucy.🖤
Man, of all the comments to be on the top of the row where you can see them if the phone is in portrait mode...
WHYYYYY NOT PUT A SPOILER WARNING WHYYYYYYYYYYY
Whoops - sorry about that! Hopefully that fixes it
Ok that's better thank you
I love me some lighthouse horror stories!
I was honestly expecting a different ending, this was really good
Reminds me of Bambi. The chihuahua, not the deer.
My dog’s name is Lucy and she’s got big googly eyes and is half blind and wall eyed so the intro caught me so off guard-
underrated comment.
Ty!
First! ❤😊🎉😂 Much love! Thank you, Stephen.
The moving illustrations or painting are cool!
Part 473 of thanking the lighthouse horror
I've know a lot of smart dogs and just as many with no thoughts in their heads. I love both, dogs are lofe
I have literally been listening to this channel since I came across it !!! I listen to your stories all day while I work !! Favorite channel
Good doggo
i love how you do the live narrations… i like the imagery to help with imagining this story in real time
Lucy chose him she showed that in the fact she protected him, all she had to do was show her true form and watch as the stupid human ran away screaming then revert back to dog form to comfort her human.
I love your storytelling 🎉 this was a wonderful one! ❤ Be blessed and thank you 🙏
I demand a part 2 of this it’s so cute
Yass!
I love these wholesome ending stories of monsters being just the sweetest babies. This is why we need more stories of these big oogey boogey things being just sweet beans and caring for those who care for them without remorse.
This reminds me of the other dog story you narrated with Bambi the eldritch chihuahua. Good stuff Lighthouse!
I love your vids ❤
Cool story. Was expecting the guy to take Lucy back to the woods where she was found. Like your ending better
Lucy sounds like the perfect watch dog! 😊
That skinwalker is fighting off other skin walkers! She’s legit protecting you with her life she actully loves you! I LOVE ITN
I grew up in Ohio. I can tell you the woods of Ohio might look just like the woods everywhere else but parts of the woods are not, there's something different out there. Something just wrong, you can feel it.
Is that the part of Ohio that used to be West Virginia?
If so, I have a theory about that.
Let’s hear the theory. 👍
@@itsjustme7487 What's your Theory?
Woods I'm referring to are east of Cincinnati. As kids we always heard rumors about Satan worship. We would find odd stuff spray painted in most of the little caves we found, but we assumed it was older stupid teens.
We would basically live outside during the summer but we were always always always out of the woods before dark.
I could ignore the feeling if I was out there with friends but when out there alone if would not just feel like you were being watched but as if someone was standing 2 feet behind you.
@desiirwin7714 ... I'll let you fill in the blanks
It has to do with Big Foot and maybe dog men having a truce with Native Americans before the latter were "relocated" to make room for settlers.
Pets in Ohio are the best
Thank you. Lucy chose her human. He understands her and let’s her be. 🥰
