People saying this Version is too sad and doesn't have the energy of the original. Me: Well, they DID lose their home and quite possibly several loved ones, I'd be kinda down in the dumps too if a bunch of Mechon took over my home, but I'm probably looking too much into it.
The original already conveyed the sadness of the refugees, while also bringing in hope and energy. Changing the future, saving future lives. Multiple layers. This remake version only has one layer. Sad, generic violin whining.
@@SiegeMinion Strange! I think this conveys the same feeling as the original, but with the violin more at the forefront. I personally prefer this version for its better instruments and the violin not being MIDI.
They claim the og version was less sad when really it wasn’t. Legit the only difference was that the violin wasn’t as prominent and wasn’t as much at the forefront of the song. Legit the only difference.
Hearing this track in nintendo's "7 minutes of relaxation with xenoblade chronicles definitive edition" back in 2020 was my first time hearing xenoblade music and damn was I stunned
Kinda missed this type of melodious tracks in Xenoblade Chronicles 3. Battle themes are the best in the series, but field themes are just for the background. No field song in this game hit me like a Gaur Plain or a Kingdom of Torna song.
I prefer millick meadows over gaur plains theme any day, but you're right nothing quite hits like this. Erythia and great cotte falls are very nice though
@@armakeen3576 I didn't appreciate it enough in game but I think thats cause I probably never actually got to hear it all the way through. It's a shame xenoblade 3 goes out of its way to not let you hear its soundtrack 😔
The reason it sounds like Makna forest is because it pretty much IS Makna forest - the main theme for that area is basically a straight remix of this song. I have no clue WHY they decided to do that, but when you listen to both tunes back to back there’s really no denying that they’re really just 2 versions of the same song.
Definitely one of my favourite overworld tracks in the entire game. Kinda bad that I truly started enjoying it at the end of the game... I wish this played in a wider area so you can be running around freely with this playing ❤️
It was clearly o'e of my favourite music from the game when I started it in 2011. I tried replicating it at the piano. I found it so peaceful and I remember coming back a lot to this place. Even when everyone came back at colony 6...
Sounds like Kakariko Village from Breath of the Wild, wouldn't be suprised if this was an inspiration for that track. Two great songs from two great games 🥰
I mean this the version from the og game came out first lol. Xenoblade Chronicles came out in like 2010 or something like that and this song was taken from there with very slight changes. But I get what you meant.
If only Earnest could see what Colony 6 rebuilt is like, how much better you've made it. But the memories he had in that place were so traumatizing that he'd rather live in the refugee camp.
1:15 - 1:23 Bruh, I could have sworn I’ve heard this same melody here from Xenoblade 2. I’d forgot the name of that ship at the beginning of the game after you met Nia for the first time…
If only the piano at 1:00 and other spots was as lush as the recording/quality of the violin, would be perfect. Just think about an updated piano in combination with the good cello later, too!
This is way more sad! ☹️ I understand why and how people explain it, but IMO its also a place of hope! So weird decision of Takahashi and the Team.....I definitely like the original Version (way) more!! 😆
That's because your brain associates the original to your personal memories of playing the game. The new one is objectively better but it just can't beat the bliss of remembering the good times.
What do you mean by harmony? From what I hear, when the violin takes the lead of the piece, the piano follows it in playing the melody, meaning they're in harmony by default. The cello mostly plays low bass notes so it's hard to tell but a lack of harmony isn't glaringly obvious.
Sounds like you need to adjust the volume of some audio channels on whatever device you are listening to this with. I can hear all the instruments just fine, and I think it all sounds great.

I sat for like 15 min listening to this before going on.
Love how they made the violin more prominent in the definitive version.
This song is just so strangely nostalgic. Its melancholic and yet hopeful somehow.

Playing Pokemon Legends Arceus after Xenoblade 2 is such a downgrade in soundtrack, that is my case 😅
But at least an improvement in resolution..
There are a few standout location themes in XC3, but yeah, not like XC1 which is like, fucking EVERY location theme being awesome.
This is such a romantic song with the violin
They freaking nailed it with this one! Love the violin so much😍
This my second favorite remastered track so far after Time to Fight. Cozy af
The violin is just lovely
Extremely underrated track
The stings being plucked just make it sound perfect. SO good!
My two favorite instruments, the piano and violin in one song...simply beautiful ❤

It's okay if I think of this as Sharla's theme?
Yes
I call it "theme of the refugees" but you're right since Sharla is also a refugee.

Nah this is 100% Juju’s theme
@@breakfasttoast3652 Who's this Juju you're talking about?

Camp Refugee
The "only argument you can make about xord doing bad things" theme
People are upset at this version? The orignal was just a MIDI version tbh, I like it too but this one is amazing
Some people are just adverse to change.
I think the violin being louder in this version ruins the peaceful but sorrow vibe the original song gives.
So relaxing music. Maybe it express refugee's feeling at camp

This is great, but the original just gives me a special feeling, idk what that feeling is, but it makes me feel at home.
It fits the area better honestly. It plays in a refugee camp, and that isn't home.

Not as good as the original. They made it more sad, and took away its energy.
It's minor, but I also miss the word salad title that was Escape Boat Camping.
Being a refugee is a sad thing, so it fits.
Man this song about a refugee camp for people who lost their home to an unfeeling machine army is too sad.
What energy? People really thought the original one didn't already sound sad?
I think I would be sad if I lost my home and possibly some family
