This is a video about refurbishing an old worn out rocking chair. With a little sanding and cleaning these old chairs got a new fresh coat of paint and a new lease on life.
They look good! I have two that are white sitting on my porch that I haven’t brought inside during the winter for the last 3-4 yrs and I’m ready to do this and get back on this porch of mine. Thanks for making this sooo simple!
Nice job! How do you keep the bottom (underside of the rocker) from chipping off or leaving residue on a composite porch? Why did you not waterproof it for longevity?
I have an old rocking chair that want rock because on one side of the rocking legs the wood is shaved off maybe it was broken off. When I put something under that side it rocks how do I fix this?
Hi! If you don't have a sprayer for the spray paint, would you recommend hand-painting vs. regular spray paint? ALSO, for using hand sandpaper, did you switch grits or keep it at 220? Thank you! This is an excellent tutorial!
Hi, I still think spray painting is the way to go for a nice even coat and reaches spaces that would be hard for a paint brush. You could go with a heavier grit sand paper if the previous paint is bubbled or peeling. I just went with 220 to rough it up a bit so the paint would stick well.
I'm not sure what its called but its a little attachment you attach to the top of any spray paint can and makes it SO MUCH EASIER! I believe they're about $5. at the hardware store.
Painting a chair is not refinishing it refinishing is varnish which it was originally believe i just got done sanding one some A hole painted on top of varnish/finish 3 coats was like a rubber coating on chair was horrific & disgraceful to destroy a beautiful piece of hand craftsmanship with paint & pple dnt even sand it down first & act like they did something special lazy AF
I like the way they look! I’m getting ready to paint mine.

Yes, I'm happy this little vid was helpful!
I have similar chairs that need repainted. I didn't know there was a device to put on the spray paint can. Thanks!
Just got these same chairs today for free 99 and they need LOVE😊👌🏼This was perfect, thank you!
You can't beat free right!?
Thank you, glad the video helped.
Great job on the chairs!
Thank you!
Lovin' the RayBan's and the rockers! They both look excellent!
Thank you!
Thank you, thank you!
It would have been real dope if you went over with furniture adhesive spray for protection and stained gloss
Will this work for other rocking chairs other than simple white ones. I love this design
Nice

What's the gadget you attached to the can of spray paint and where do you get it?

How many cans of spray paint did you need for each chair?
I think I used 4 cans. The more coats of paint you do, the longer it will last.

You have no life, you’ve commended this same thing on a bunch of videos
