    Just in Case you want to do this: It’s unnecessary to remove the Piston. The Spacer is cut already. Just undo the blue Part, pull the Piston down but not out, wiggle and tap the Spacer out of the Blue Part and remove it.

    SO jealous of the workspace and tools, aside from the master mechanic that makes it all so easy and efficient

    By reducing the upper air pressure, less than recommeneded, and relying more on the damper, as a rep from Öhlins told me - "That's the magic." :)

      After taking out the spacer its better to set sag around 20% and pump ramp up more than recommended.

      I started trying this. Got mine used a few weeks ago.

    Doesn't Ohlins recommend that you air up the ramp up chamber first before the main chamber?

    • @FOTB407
      @FOTB407 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yeah they do just checked the manual

    • @sendyboiii7
      @sendyboiii7 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes they do however they suggest that due to increasing or decreasing the pressure in the ramp up chamber you're also altering your sag. However if you jnow your pressures it doesn't matter which you do first

    • @SaMDoan
      @SaMDoan 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@sendyboiii7 Can anyone confirm this? That would actually be great because having to dump the main chamber to add a little bit more air into the ramp up chamber is a huge hassle.

      @@SaMDoan I ride a manitou mezzer fork which has a similar system and I always just add or remove air from the ramp up chamber if I want to change it and then I'll just check if my sag is similar or the same. So no you definetly don't need to remove all the air from the main chamber however even that tiny amount of extra work is still way less compared to faffing around with tokens and other systems

      Yes it does, it also say to put put oil into the positive an negative air chamber. Soaking foam rings in oil before installation is also welcome for suppleness. This guy is a charlatan…

    Nice looking WA1 Arrival that fork is attached to!

    Great video. I just did the service and now my rebound knob won't turn. Any suggestions? Everything I am trying isn't working.

    Greg job! Do you provide this service to clients?

    What fender was that customer using on the fork?

      It does help, but its not recomended for people looking for more support when they go fast on trails. It only helps on gnarly enduro trails and downhill tracks full of roots and rocks. Im thinking about removing this but taking ohlins to service is never a cheap experience. I bought myself oils for lower leg service and it costed me 100 $ 😂 for 1 L of both oils.

  • @rockandchilimtb
    @rockandchilimtb 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Does the lower leg fluid has any alternative other than ohlins propietary fluid?

    • @carpedownhillem
      @carpedownhillem 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It does but they only go in barrels. So no. The same goes for their grease, its completely differet than sram butter.

      @@carpedownhillem I just saw a video from a guy doing a lower leg service stating that he contacted ohlins cs and they recommended him rockshox 0w30 oil as an alternative.

    Great recommendation to screw your fork up. I did all of that but you forgot to mention that you need a bullet tool to put the shaft back and I damaged my seals. Thanks man! Just before my vacations.

    Mate, by increasing negative chamber volume you get the opposite result. Fork will ramp up faster preventing bottoming out but it will also feel harder from the top. Also, you had cleaned dry the foams and instal those without soaking in the oil for the stanchions lubrication. Next time you are looking for suppleness, do so. Also, you need to put some suspension oil in the positive and negative chamber during the assembly. You failed to do so in this video. Mate, I will never let you near my fork. Poor, miss-leading video. Remove it please.
