    Hi Robbie, great videos! Are the parts and servicing procedures for the RXF36 the same as the DH38 m1?

      Awesome Denzil, check out the air cartridge upgrade to increase the negative chamber, it will improve the small bump and extend the service schedule. www.rbco.co.za/index.php?route=product/product&path=59_77&product_id=261

      The negative chamber upgrade, is it hard to install? Is it already on the m.2 version of the forks?

    hi Robbie, great video, I did my RXF36 when removing the lower leg, I didn't use the wrench 14 to keep the knob, I just turn counter-clock then remove the allen key then take out the knob, so the rebound now very hard and stiff, it can't be rotated, do you have any advice? Thank you so much.

    • @RBC_tech
      @RBC_tech  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi VietRiders thanks for your message and support of our channel. Sorry to hear about this problem. My suggestion is to remove the gold rebound knob and use a flat screwdriver to slowly and gently try to turn the rebound shaft clockwise to loosen it.

    Hey I have a quite important question about oil for lower legs. In service manual for Rfx38 m2 it say to put 15 ml of Renep CGLP 68 into Damper fork leg and 15 ml of 01309-01 - high performance suspension fluid in the spring fork leg. I've never had a fork that requires different fluids for each leg and they are quite expensive. Are you aware of any good quality equivalent? You mention in the video RSP 0w-30, will that be ok or any 0w-30 would be ok ? Or maybe I would be just fine with Rock Shox 0w30 oil that I have? That Renep one has 68cSt40 and the other one has 19cts40. I wonder how important are those numbers but certainly someone had a brainstorm when it comes to these oils.

      Hi Chory1827, thanks for your message and support of our channel. Your question is really good and not many understand this reason. Fox has the same requirements for their forks with a Grip damper. The reason is oil ingestion into the damper as follows. On the air cartridge side the scraper wiper prevents most oil from being ingested into the air chamber and a little of the CGLP68 wont make a huge difference. However on the damper side the oil in the damper is the 01309-01 and any CGLP68 oil that becomes ingested into the damper will affect the damping qualities of the fork because the CGLP68 is very thick and sticky compared to the 01309-01. For the RXF38 ,m2 i recommend using the correct fluid for the damper and air sides as per the owners manual. However if you are not able to get the 01309-01 fluid you can substitute this for a 5wt oil from FUSCH or r.s.p. Keep in mind that just doing lower leg services is not good for the fork as if you are not servicing the air cartridge or the damper cartridge then you are not elimination contaminated fluid from the lower legs that has been ingested into these cartridges.

    Hi Robbie, great video, thanks. Why do you use the 0W30 oil from r.s.p. and not the AIR FLUID RENEP CGLP 68 ÖHLINS from r.s.p.? Cheers Jon

    • @RBC_tech
      @RBC_tech  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Jon,, Thanks for your message and support of our channel. In the video I used the 0W30 because at the time we did not have any of the CGLP 68 in stock. Since the colors are different between the 2 fluids I confirmed that it was 0W30 we used and not CGLP 68. Currently we use the CGLP 68 which Ohlins recommends however I have had great results from the 0W30 and continue to use this in other applications.

    Hi, you have the M2 version as I see. Me question is regarding oil volume. Due to Öhlins service guide you need 10ml oil when cartridge sealhead is blue and piston rod is gold. otherwise 5ml is the deal. do you know exactly how to determine this? I don't exactly understand what Öhlins want to tell us :-)

    • @xLOWDESERTPUNK
      @xLOWDESERTPUNK 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It looks like your piston rod is not gold so that's why I am asking. When I have a look on your TTX18 air shaft video, the rod is gold I guess.

    • @RBC_tech
      @RBC_tech  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi xLOWDESERTPUNK, thanks for your message and support of the channel. The older RXF34 and RXF36 forks had the gold negative air chamber which ingests oil quite easily, the new RXF 36 has a blue seal head with a scraper wiper which does a great job at keeping the oil out of the negative chamber. I recommend that if you have a fork with the gold air chamber then use 5 to 7ml oil in the lower legs. If you have a new RXF 36 m2 with the blue negative chamber and gold damper foot nut then use 10ml oil.

      @@RBC_tech Thanks Robbie. I bought mine 2021 and my sealhead is silver and I have read only about blue and gold one. That's why I was a little confused but I've inserted 5-7ml in each leg in the past and will do so in the future I guess :-) good and informative video btw

    • @RBC_tech

      Thanks xLOWDESERTPUNK, Andreani bring out an awesome upgrade for your negative chamber, this will convert the 2021 fork into the 2022 air cartridge, you can see it on our website here www.rbco.co.za/index.php?route=product/product&path=59_77&product_id=261 I recommend this upgrade at some point, it will extend the times between services as well as give a bigger negative chamber.

    • @RBC_tech
      @RBC_tech  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Cheville, thanks for your message. By the description you have given me I believe that the air cartridge and damper have ingested oil from the lowers. If you have the RXF36 EVO then I recommend changing the negative chamber to the new version - www.rbco.co.za/index.php?route=product/product&path=59_77&product_id=261 which has a scraper wiper to prevent oil from the lowers entering the negative chamber. For this you need the fork serviced and the damper bled, please take it to your local Öhlins service center for the service. Please note that I don't recommend more than 10ml of lower leg oil for each leg when performing a lower leg service.
