      What is negative about underlining a truth or basic fact about social life in Pakistan. Is it not true that women are missing from the streets and public life in Pakistan due to prevalent conservative Islam? Is it not true that men are allowed to have multiple wives in Pakistan? The first time I met a Pakistani, he was so surprised that so many women ride scooters in India. You can't treat a disease until you identify it.

    As a Pakistani pathan village woman I can say that I have never ever go to the bazaar in such a hot climate to bring groceries, utilities and all the stuff but instead we Pakistani villagers just order our men to go out in a hot climate and bring whatever we need. I think our men take a lot more responsibilities because everytime they will go out like for instance to bring our clothes from the tailor , to take our shoes to the cobblers, to bring the gas cylinders, to drop kids to the school in spite of all their exertion they serve us all the time. These western men when they don't find any women in the bazaar they show sympathy with women they are oppressed. But I have sympathy with our men that in spite of taking all the responsibilities they are accused of oppressing women.
    I respect our men for marrying us and not just keeping us as their girlfriends and taking all our responsibilities and I love my husband.

    Being a Sindhi Pakistani that has lived in Interior and City life I want to highlight some points here, that traveler didn't understood the people's concepts,
    Point 1 : where He said the Hindu people are stuck there blah blah, Bro majority of our Hindus live in Sindh and very good percentage of them is well educated, wealthy and Business people, Us Sindhis, Muslims or Hindus We love our motherland Sindh, to our death and that thing you people won't or will never understand that's the reason they won't leave their motherland, Yes I accept there are a lot of situations with Hindus these days, and many of Us support our Hindus, same goes for India as well there are people who hurt Muslims there and there are those who support them, but One Big point is that in Sindh, We live with harmony, We study, eat together drink from same glass.
    Point 2 : Where he said that you won't see women in interior/Rural on roads or they won't show them self in their home only to their husbands and family. If I'm not wrong that goes same for Indian Interior parts as well where women don't show them self to unknown person, specially men, they hide their faces with Saari ka Palu, We have seen this practice in Indian Films/Movies as well.
    Point 3 : Where he said in interior people live in fields that they live very simple life and they only eat what grow, Bro that's How farmers live, you will see same thing in India as well. and the lively hood that he is calling simple, We all know we want to live a simple life like that as well, away from our hectic city life.

      bro about Hindus condition in Pakistan, there are numerous instances where the forceful conversion of hindus to islam is happening & nobody is giving a shit. That's not true in India. Secondly, even in the interior parts of India the pallu system is not compulsory & day by day it is decreasing because women are feeling much safer even if they are in interior parts.Your assumption of Interior India is really wrong because it is based on bollywood & not the reality. So wtf are you talking about.

    • @aakash.124
      @aakash.124 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +26

      @@malayaranjansahu7650 Yes you are right!! the forced conversions are the big issue currently for Us Sindhis, and We have highlighted that even in our country and to United Nation, and We are trying our best to tackle this issue, but in the end we are civilians and on the other hands are Molvis and waderas, and common civilian can only try to highlight such issue and that's what we are doing.
      Secondly my Assumptions on Interior India isn't just based on Movies, so stfu what I have mentioned is purely based on what I see on the internet, in Podcasts, Documentaries etc, So it doesn't matter if you accept it or not I don't care, Because that's how India is being represented on the Internet and you know that as well, a millennial old tradition of Palu can't be thrown out of window in just a few centuries, You are just lying to yourself only.

    • @malayaranjansahu7650
      @malayaranjansahu7650 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +8

      @@aakash.124 dude i am from India. Here the environment,education,Work culture,religious views are totally different from pakistanis. So if you get your assumptions from the Internet without relying on the primary sources then you are delusional. Secondly, India is pretty flexible in changing outdated & unnecessary traditions like Sati Pratha,Pallu traditions...yes pallu tradition is there but it's in minimal & optional use, not like heavy restrictions n all. In Pakistan it is strongly directed to use parda n all, thts not true in India. We are comparing the environments & the flexibility of it in both the countries. We are very flexible in India where as the environment in pakistan is very rigid. That's what matters,not individual comparison of traditions. The comparison is between flexibility & acceptability. So now answer honestly how much flexible is pakistani society from 100%??? now compare that percentage to India. So stfu.

    German shepherd kitna India ghum he?? Except people from muslim community and Punjab-Haryana irrespective of religions no state is similar to pakistan.. north east, east , West , south all are totally different. We are so diverse in terms of food, language, culture, geographical condition and food-culture are interrelated to geographical location. Even north indian states like Himachal Pradesh uttarakhand are totally different. Punjab, haryana don't represent whole India. Punjabi, haryanvi hv been dominating Hindi media industry that's why they have been subconsciously and successfully injecting a belief that Pakistan and India are very similar and somehow we as a nation hv accepted their narratives. Why don't we say Nepal, china are similar to Indian culture. As culture of all east indian states, north east india states even Himachal Pradesh, uttarakhand are to an extent similar to China and Nepal. If you go down then you would find south Indian and even to an extent east indian are similar to srilankan culture .Merely because I ,an east indian, understand their language doesn't mean we east indian states are akin to pakistan, if so then we can understand English that doesn't mean we are similar to British or American😂😂

You dont have to be defensive, i get it its in your religion. But religious traditions can be oppressive, its not rare. In india, we try to leave behind the oppressive parts of our religion. I mean its literally oppressive to not let women have open hair and wear all black burkhas, especially in hot countries like ours. As a Pakistani living in Karachi, I can say that we are more civilized than India. Hindus feel safe here, and there is no political or media bias against them. Numerous Christian schools and many Hindus are living in Sindh. Yes During the War on Terror, some external elements tried to disturb the minorities because the Afghanistan border was not well controlled, lacking proper checks and balances. While there was a time when Hindus from rural areas wanted to move to India for economic reasons, things have greatly improved now. The economy is getting back on track, and the security situation has improved by 99%. I recently visited the Gilgit-Baltistan region and was pleasantly surprised by the number of foreign tourists there.

    He spoke of his mind and what he saw and observed. I don't disagree with his comments about women in the rural areas of Pakistan. I am not going to defend it either, given the fact that I was born and raised there. It is intertwined with religion and cultural values, though women participation in sawing and cutting crops and other daily activities is immense. Regarding hindus and other communities living in Pakistan, they surely feel unsafe and vulnerable for repercussions in the aftermath of incidents, which happens with minorities in India (regularly targeted by religious zealots, especially Muslims and Christians).

      You are mistaken about the situation of minorities in India. Indian muslims would never want to move to Pakistan. They would, if they felt unsafe in India. On the contrary, we have situations where Muslim mobs ransack and riot for silly reasons. I remember as a child growing up being in fear when a mob of Muslims went around throwing stones in our area.
      The only thing that has changed is that, in the past the Congress Party and other regional parties used to pander to the Muslim community to get their votes. This was gradually making people of other religions including other minorities unhappy. The BJP does not pander to the Muslims - because needless to say, Muslims are not their vote bank.
      The problem with the Muslim community is that a large portion of the population is not focussed on education. They focus on Islamic studies, rather than modern education. If they focus on education and integrating with the rest of the population, they would have no problems in India. Their political and religious leaders are largely to blame for this because as a people, they are the same as the rest of the Indians.
      Despite all of this, people of all relgions get along very well in India, and it is the fringe radical elements that cause problem. I dont think you will see such close integration of people of all religions in many other places in the world.

      @shubhishukla-ut5kv I am not sure if I understood your comment well, mam. If you mean Muslims live in Pakistan, don't raise their voices in support of Pakistani Hindus, and other minnoritties are certainly not true, and you are sadly mistaken. Many fellow Pakistanis do raise their voices for minorities including Hindus, Sikhs, Christians, Parsis, etc.
      The intent of my commentary was not to heart the sentiments of Indians or others. Regarding Hindus living in Pakistan, they are mostly confined to border towns with India in Sind. Few borders towns population predominantly Hindu. Do they want to leave Pakistan? May be, I am not so sure, but it is not so easy to leave the place where ones life is built around and on top of that to pay heavy intangible cost to leave his/her soil. I am not sure about Muslims living in India if they want to leave or reside in India. It is their call
      I live in New Jersey, which is one of the most ethnicity diversified states in the US. All communities live and support each other side by side. I don't see the light at the end of the tunnel when I see Indian subcontinent. There is no dearth of bigots and hate mongers and both sides of the border.

    I have seen women in villages not covering themselves and working with men in fields quite openly. This covering and hiding behind doors is not due to being poor or backward. It is basically the middle class that has these rules. They are maybe less than 5% of village population. Ordinary women in rural areas are quite hardworking and even use very abusive language like men. You can see them using Hookah or smoking ciggaretes (which is only for ultra modern ladies in the cities).... Maybe he is talking about tribal areas near Afghanistan border. The women in Sindh (where he saw lots of Hindus) even drive trucks and tractors. Google search can show you a lot.

    Might be also a sub contintal thing. But in Pakistan it's the islamic belief why they are so great hosts. Guests are considered as a huge blessing in Islam. And that's the main reason why they show great hospitality towards guests. It is deeply rooted in their urge to be a good muslim to gain the love of Allah (God).

    I would say, People of Pakistan are amazing. I am from Indian Punjab and I can understand the mentality of people. My uncle was in Pakistan and he said he received so much love over there. I know basically we are the same people. Only thing get worst is religion. I think religion divide people. And when I see Pakistani people place their religion before the country that give me -ve vibes if things will get worse in future? IDK

      @@hammad4178 yeah I guess you never know diversity and you aren’t ready to accept that. That’s what makes you different for sure but in a bad way. I’m Indian and my native language is Punjabi but people speaking Tamil are also Indians and are My countrymen. But hard to explain it to you. This is what makes India far better than Pakistan.
      You people forget your history. Btw thanks your reply and proving this.

      @@lynkDom-wf5io India is more diverse than Pakistan, okay and? I never said it was not. I’m just saying we are only similar to Punjabis and Kashmiris. You didn’t refute my point nor did you validate it. You just went son some random tangent about diversity. I don’t care. You guys are only tied by nationality lol.
      Anyways my point still stands we are not all that similar to all Indians compared to say Bengalis and Sri Lankans.
